Storm's POV

I watch Sasuke fight, he uses Chidori on Gaara's sand ball and he uses it to get his arm out, he jumps back and a then a moments pause before an ungodly sound comes from the ball.

"MY BLOOD, ITS MY BLOOD." Gaara shrieks.

I see white feathers falling and I scowl. "Crap."

"This is Gen Jutsu Storm." Kakashi says to me as he makes the tiger sign.

I make the tiger sign.

"Release." Me, Kakashi and Guy say and the feather around us fly away. I see Sakura do it too and I see Naruto get caught in the Gen-Jutsu and he falls asleep, I see Shikamaru asleep and everyone else as well.

I scowl. "Why those dirty bastards." I mutter and I jump up on the roof and I get surrounded by Sand and Sound Ninja. "Damn it."

"Its just a girl." One of them say confused.

"This is the girl that beat that Jonin earlier, take her out." A sound guy says to them.

I scowl and I pull out four kunai and I block most of the weapons that get throw at me while others miss completely.

"Storm, what's going on up there?" Kakashi asks me from his fighting position below me.

"Well, I'm surrounded by 10, 11, 13, 14 ninja, most are from the sand and some from the sound." I say to him. "Oh I should add, I have no back up and Sasuke went after Gaara and his siblings."

"Focus on the task at hand, don't worry about anything else at the moment." Kakashi says to me.

I bite my lip slightly. "Alright, but if anyone dies and I'm gonna be training for a week." I say to Kakashi.

I punch the ceiling as Kakashi and Guy yell in surprise but it doesn't crack, it only shakes enough so the ninja attacking me will lose balance and fall off the roof. They fall on the ground and go splat, no they just go unconscious .

I run across the roofs to see a purple barrier and I punch it and it burns my knuckles and the barrier wavers but stays up.

"Damn it." I say annoyed.

The ANBU look at me shocked. "Storm?" They ask.

"Gramps, what's going on in there?" I ask.

"Lord Hokage is fighting Orochimaru." One of the ANBU say to me.

My eyes widen. "Damn it, damn it, damn it, damn it, damn it." I punch the barrier again and it cracks but burns my knuckles, I punch it again and it crumbles slightly and I continue to punch it until I make a path way in. "You guys, stay." I say to the ANBU and I run in with two kunai in each hand, I block the snake sword coming for Gramps, with my kunai.

"Storm?" Gramps asks surprised.

I scowl at Orochimaru. "Yes Gramps?" I ask him.

"Why and how did you get in here?" Gramps asks me.

I glance at him out of the corner of my eye. "You know why and how." I say to him and I deflect the snake sword.

Orochimaru hisses as it hits him in the arm.

"Storm, shouldn't you be helping the village?" Gramps asks me.

"I have a few things to settle with Orochimaru, he put one of his curse marks on my teammate, he's attacking my village, he convinced our ally the Sand to switch to his side, he's trying to kill you, and I just don't like him." I list off my reasons.

"Those are good reasons, but better spent on saving the village, go help Ibiki." Gramps orders me.

I sigh and throw kunai at Orochimaru, pinning him to the ground. "Fine. But you better get out of this alive Gramps." I run over to my opening and I glance at Gramps before I run out. "You ANBU, keep an eye on the fight." I say to them.

"Yes Ma'am." They say to me and turn to Gramps' fight.

I run down the streets and I find Ibiki and Genma fighting a giant snake with two heads.

I pull out some kunai and I throw them at the snake, it hisses at me.

"Storm?" Genma asks shocked.

"Why's a kid here?" Ibiki asks annoyed.

I roll my eyes and pull out more kunai and shuriken. "Call me a kid and you lose your eyes." I say to him slightly annoyed.

Genma smirks as I jump down next to them. "I guess Lord Hokage sent you to help us then?" Genma asks.

I nod.

"Just don't get in our way." Ibiki grumbles.

"Yeah, whatever." I mutter with a smirk. I place one foot back and Genma eyes me before pulling out some senbon. I jump up higher than the snake and I do some hand signs. "Shadow Clone Kunai and Shuriken." I mutter and I throw my kunai and shuriken at the snake, they multiply into two thousand each. They hit the snake and some of them bounce off while other hit the snake. 

Genma smirks and throws his Senbon at the snake and they just miss its vitals.

I land in a crouched position and I stand up straight as I pull more kunai out.

"Where do you keep getting so many kunai and shuriken?" Genma asks me shocked.

"I use kunai and shuriken the most, I have 4 kunai holsters on my legs and 2 shuriken holsters on there as well, then I have my pouch filled with scrolls that have my shuriken and kunai, thank you Ten-Ten for teaching me that, and I have two kunai holsters on my forearms." I say to him with a small shrug.

Genma and Ibiki look at me shocked.

The snake aims it tail at us and we jump up.

I pull out two scrolls while I'm still in the air, I hold the ends and the scroll opens and kunai and shuriken come out and hits the snake almost in the vitals, I put the scrolls back in my pouch and I land on the ground.

"Storm, do you have any Jutsu to help?" Genma asks me.

I nod and do some hand signs. "I suggest you step away otherwise, you might be electrocuted." I say to them and they step behind me. I make the Chidori in my right palm and Genma and Ibiki again look at me shocked. "Thank Kami that I got the Lightning release while Kakashi was training me." I mutter and I make the Chidori bigger and I jump up and I hit the snake square between the eyes and I dig down before the snake poofs away. I release the Chidori and I land on my feet.

"Where did it go?" I ask.

"It was a summon." Ibiki says to me.

All the enemy ninja flee and I see Orochimaru being carried away by his subordinates.

First thought that crossed my mind was Gramps.

I look towards the building where Gramps was fighting and I see Jonin running towards there.

I frown slightly as Ibiki and Genma run towards there.

I walk to my training grounds and I start training, already knowing what happened.

I punch a log I normally use to practice Tai Jutsu with, a few times before Kakashi grabs my wrist.

"What?" I ask quietly as I look at the log.

"So I assume you know already, by the way your training." Kakashi says to me observing the log I was beating up.

"I told you if someone died I would train for a week." I say to him.

"You need to head home." Kakashi says to me.

"Kakashi-Sensei, this is my own type of grieving. Please leave me alone for a while." I say to him quietly as my voice breaks slightly and Kakashi's eyes widen at my voice.

"Fine but the funeral is in a few days." Kakashi says as he lets my wrist go.

I nod and he poofs away.

I get back to training as I cry silently.

Damn Orochimaru, damn snakes, damn Chunin Exams, damn fighting, damn everything, just damn it all to hell.

By the time its sunset I'm sitting up in my tree while hugging my knee's to my chest and crying silently.

"STORM, STORM, WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?" Someone yells looking around.

I wipe my tears away and I sit back against the tree. "What is it Banshee?" I ask trying to control my voice but failing as it breaks slightly.

She looks up at me and jumps up to look at me. "Where the hell have you been?" She asks me slightly mad. "Lord Hokage is dead, half the village is destroyed, and everyone is injured."

"Don't you think I know that?" I ask her as tears start to slip down my cheeks again. "I know Gramps is dead, I know half the village is destroyed, I know everyone is injured. I tried to prevent the villages destruction by helping Ibiki and Genma at the gates as they we're fighting off a giant snake, before that I was protecting Gramps before he told me to help Ibiki and Genma, I tried to stop as many injuries as possible, damn it. So just leave me alone." I say to her.

Sakura hits me on the head. "Lord Hokage is dead and all your doing is sitting in a tree?" Sakura asks me as she gets angrier.

I jump off the tree and she follows me. I go back to training and she watches me.

"So all your gonna do is train? Is that it? Don't you feel anything other than your cold heart? Don't you even care that Lord Hokage died? Don't you feel a shred of sadness or guilt?" Sakura yells her questions at me.

"Of course I care that Gramps died." I say quietly.

"Then why aren't you showing it? Why aren't you crying or yelling or showing some sort of grief?" Sakura yells at me.

"Sakura, that's enough." Kakashi says to her as he walks up to us.

"But Kakashi-Sensei, she's not doing anything about this." Sakura says to him.

I punch the log one last time before it splits in half and falls over.

"Look at her closely, this is just her barrier." Kakashi says to her calmly.

"Sensei, she's not showing anything. She looks like a cold hearted person." Sakura says to him.

I look at her as pain and sadness mix in my eyes. "I'm not cold hearted, I just don't like showing emotion damn it. I'm not like everyone else in the village who can show their emotions freely. Stop judging people by their outward appearances and look at their eyes."

Sakura backs up slightly. 

"Kakashi-Sensei, I'm going home for the night." I say while walking past them.

Kakashi nods and Sakura just looks at me shocked.

I walk to Shikamaru's and I walk in to see Mom and Dad waiting.

"Been waiting long?" I ask them quietly.

"Your avoiding the problem again." Shikamaru says in the door frame.

Mom walks over and hugs me to her. "We know what happened." Mom says to me.

"Oh." Was all I could say with out my voice breaking again.

"Its alright, just let it out, no one is gonna judge or tell, your safe here." Mom says to me in a soothing voice.

Shikamaru pats my head. "There, there little puppy. Its ok." Shikamaru says to calmly.

I cry onto Mom's shoulder as she hugs me.

Dad and Shikamaru watch me as Mom says soothing words to me.

I calm down after a while and I hug Mom. "Thank you." I say quietly.

A few days later

I walk to the funeral by myself with my funeral attire on. Once I get there Konohamaru runs over to me sniffling.

I bend down to look at him and he hugs me tightly. 

"Why did Grandpa have to die?" Konohamaru asks.

I look at Iruka so he can explain and not me.

"When someone passes away, its the end, their past and future and dreams go along with him. This is true, even if he dies honorably in battle, as so many have, as Hayate did. All the ties that bind him to the living have severed, all but one, the most important of all, people, parents, siblings, friends, lovers, the people who are important to him, and these people, the ones left behind, are joined together in a great circle by their shared memories of him, a circle of friendship, trust and sacrifice, that grows stronger and larger as time passes. Its hard to explain it, we remain in the circle together, we have no choice, its important to us." Iruka says to us and takes Konohamaru from me.

I walk up next to Naruto and Shino.

Naruto glances at me to see my eyes dull with pain and sorrow.

It starts to rain and I look up at the sky. "Its raining, just like a mini Storm." I say to them.

"Even the heavens weep." Asuma says looking up.

We place our flowers on the casket and around it.

Flashback

I run to a flower field with Gramps behind me.

I place my hands on my knee's bending over to look at a line of flowers. A bee flies out of the flower in front of me and hovers between my eyes.

"Oooo, Gramps, look its a bee." I say to him in awe as the bee flies to another flower.

Gramps chuckles and pats my head. "Yes it is, its a worker bee." Gramps says to me.

"What's a worker bee Gramps?" I ask him curiously.

"A worker bee is a female bee that collects nectar and takes it back to its hive so other worker bee's can make it into honey." Gramps explains to me with a kind smile.

"Woaaahhh, Gramps, your super smart, I want to be like you when I grow up." I say to him with a grin.

Gramps chuckles and ruffles my hair. "So you want to be Hokage? That's a lot of responsibility, and you need the Will of Fire in you." Gramps says to me with a warm smile.

"What's the Will of Fire? It sounds important." I ask him.

"The Will of Fire is the Will to protect the village no matter what." Gramps explains to me.

"Well, I consider you my friend Gramps, always and forever, you'll be here for a long time, right Gramps?" I ask him.

"I will always be here for you Storm." Gramps says to me with a warm smile.

I grin and hug him. "Thanks Gramps." I say with glee.

End of Flashback

I calm down and it stops raining.

"The rain, it stopped." Naruto says looking up.

"The Storm has calmed." I say to them and Naruto grins at me.

I walk over to Kakashi, Sasuke and Sakura with a smile on my face, for the first time in a long time, I'm smiling freely.

Thank you Gramps.

I stand next to them as Naruto runs over.

From now on, I vow to break down my walls and show emotion again, I vow that to you Gramps, although I'm still gonna be a sarcastic, rude and a smartass.
