Storm's POV

I get shaken a few hours later and I open one eye to see Shikamaru there and I close it again. "What is it Shikamaru?" I ask him.

"It's time for dinner." Shikamaru says to me, most likely already knowing what happened to Jiraiya.

I shake my head slightly. "I don't have an appetite right now." I say to him and Shikamaru furrows his brown in confusion. "I spent all last night learning the last bit of Medical Nin-Jutsu that I could, the One-Thousand Healings." I say, moving my bangs slightly to show the purple diamond on my forehead. "I tested my students earlier as well and that burned up some of my chakra. I'm not hungry so much as I'm tired." I say to him in a tired voice.

Shikamaru smirks. "Yeah, yeah, complain all you want, you can be so troublesome sometimes, but I can tell your hiding something." Shikamaru says to me.

"I'm fine." I say to him as I keep my eyes closed.

"Then look at my eyes and tell me that." Shikamaru says to me calmly.

I look at him in the eyes. "I'm fine." I say to him with a calm gaze.

Shikamaru looks at me closely. "Ever heard the saying, when the dog doesn't eat, somethings wrong? Your like a dog Storm, and your usually up to eating Mom's cooking, even when your not hungry."

I sit up and look at him. "Fine. I'm coming, just stop nagging me when you know I'm dead beat tired." I say, standing up and I walk to the dinning room with a smirking Shikamaru behind me.

"I got her up." Shikamaru says as we sit down in our seats.

I pout slightly. "I was sleeping." I say to them with a roll of my eyes.

Dad and Mom laugh at that while Shikamaru gives me a suspicious eye.

We eat and I wash the dishes, after I finish I walk to the porch and sit down, looking at the stars. A breeze hits me and a leaf hits my forehead and stays put. I look up at it for a second before I pull it off and twirl it in my fingers as I think. I groan in annoyance, not getting anywhere. "Goddamnit I can't think." I say with scowl.

Shikamaru sits next to me. "What are you scowling about now?" Shikamaru asks me.

I groan and lay on my back. "I can't think of what to teach my students first tomorrow, I mean Kuro is basically Chunin level now but the other two? Granted one knows some higher leveled water style Jutsu but the other? And to top it off, the two boys are Fan-Boys of Kuro's. What has Tsunade done to me, two Fan-Boys, one diligent student and me a Jonin Sensei who doesn't care about the world and thinks it could just go to hell." I say and Shikamaru smirks.

"I thought it was something serious." Shikamaru says to me and I scowl at him.

"This is serious Shikamaru. I have no idea what to do and I'm most likely gonna be stuck chasing cats or that damned ostrich." I say, seeing him poke his out from the other side of the wall, I sit up at scowl at the ostrich while Shikamaru backs up slightly in surprise. "I nearly got brain damage because of that damned bird." I say crossing my arms over my chest with an annoyed look.

"Storm, I think you need to calm down, if anything, Naruto is gonna be sent after that Ostrich because he's too dumb to get brain damage." Shikamaru says to me as he scratches his head nervously.

"Yeah right, he just lost Jiraiya, his teacher, he'll be more focused on that area, than missions. And since I've dealt with that ostrich before, I'll be sent after it and its so annoying, I'm gonna wring its neck next time I have to deal with it." I say already imagining it while Shikamaru just sweat drops at the smirk on my face.

"Storm, I know what's going on in that head of yours." Dad says behind me.

I look at him out of the corner of my eye. "Is that so, how many fingers am I hold up Dad?" I ask, holding up two.

"Four." Dad says to me with a smirk.

Me and Shikamaru sigh simultaneously. "Dad, I was holding up two fingers. Go to sleep." I say to him.

"W-What?" Dad says shocked.

I get up with a sigh. "I have to get up early to meet my students, so I'm going to bed, I suggest you guys go to bed soon as well, something tells me the next couple months are gonna be long and hard." I say to them and the two nod, trusting my judgement. I walk to my room, not bothering to go back to my apartment. I close my door behind me and lay on my bed, falling asleep quickly.

The Next Day

I run through the forest. "YOU STUPID OSTRICH!" I yell chasing it while my students just laugh in the trees. I catch up to it and pounce on it, we roll on the ground and end up wrestling each other, with him pecking my head and me pulling his bow ties to tight.

"Let go of me." The ostrich says to me.

My mouth twitches up into a smirk in annoyance. "You've annoyed me, you damned ostrich, this is the last time you run away." I say to him with a sadist look in my eyes. I place my foot on its shadow and step back with a smirk.

"You wretched girl, no wonder you don't have a boyfriend." The ostrich says to me.

A tick mark appears on my head and my eye twitches. "You insolent bird, watch your tongue or I'll rip it from your beak and shred it in a blender." I say to him and we throw insults back and forth.

"Sensei, you look like a crazy person for fighting with an ostrich." Haru says to me.

I crack a smirk as I crack my knuckles. "This bird has made me and Naruto team up so many times just to catch it and it put several Jonin in the hospital with its pecking." I say and I capture the birds shadow and walk back to its owners place with the bird unwillingly in tow.

I knock and the person answers. "Here's your bird." I say to him.

"Thank you Storm." He says and grabs the bird and takes it out back.

I see blood drip down from my forehead protector and I scowl. "Damn bird." I say and move my forehead protector to my neck and heal my head as I walk to Tsunade's office. I move my forehead protector back up to my forehead and tie it again. I knock on Tsunade's door and walk in. "That bird is back where it belongs." I say as I cross my arms over my chest.

Tsunade looks at me to see me all dusty. "You manage to come back from every mission that I send you on to take care of someone, with out a scratch, but one bird gets you all dusty?" Tsunade asks me.

My eyebrow twitches slightly. "I've been chasing that bird since I was a Genin, he keeps getting out, no matter what happens." I say to her with a annoyance in my voice. "That bird has continued to trouble me, make me mad, and has annoyed me beyond belief. At this rate, my hair will start turning gray because of that damned bird."

"Storm!" 

I look over to see the elders looking at me with annoyance. "I didn't notice you there, and I'm not sorry that I didn't." I say and Tsunade smirks. The elders walk over to me. "Lay one hand on me and you won't like the outcome." I say and the two step back with anger in their eyes. I turn back to Tsunade. "Where is the message Jiraiya left?" I ask her.

"I have a copy of the picture we took from Lord Fukasaku's back." Tsunade says handing it to me.

I look it over. "Right, I'm going to absolutely hate cracking this but if it helps me with catching the guy on who did this, its worth it." I say and Tsunade nods. I walk out of her office and grab Kakashi's book. "I need this." I say and he looks at me confused and follows me. I walk to the library with him behind me, I sit at a table and pull out a paper and put the picture in front of me, I write the numbers down, evenly spaced so I have room to write the words.

"What are you doing?" Kakashi asks me as he sits across from me.

"My mission, it's gonna take the intel division too long to crack this code, I know Jiraiya, he has the words in this book. It wouldn't be hard to figure out if it weren't so damn disgusting to read." I say and Kakashi gives me a closed eyed smile.

I get to work and by the time I'm finished, my mind is filled with plans.

I look down the paper. "The real one isn't among them." I say and a thought crosses my mind. I give Kakashi his book back and walk to the history section of the library, I grab a few books on the Sage of Six Paths. I walk back to the table and start reading.

I finish a few hours later and find something about the Rinnegan but it doesn't go into detail. I walk to the fiction section and look through it to find the book I was looking for about the Rinnegan. I walk back to the table and read the book.

"Seven paths, purple rippled eyes, Deva, Asura, Animal, Human, Naraka, Outer, Preta." I mutter writing this down on another piece of paper for me to look over after I'm done with this. I continue muttering things as I write them down as I read.

I sense someone walking towards me, no more like three people. I glance over to see Shikamaru, Kakashi and Naruto. I go back to work as they watch and a woman with weird glasses follows my line of sight as I work.

"Multi-tasking, she should be in the same division I should be in." She says shocked.

I glance at her. "I don't have the patience for it, I'm only doing this for a mission that I'm gonna go on once I finish with this." I say to her.

Shikamaru looks at my notes. "You cracked the code?" Shikamaru asks shocked.

"She what?" Naruto and the woman ask shocked.

"It was simple, if you think like Jiraiya, which is very easy, he has the same mind as Naruto, just more perverted. That book Kakashi is reading was the key to cracking it, Jiraiya wrote that book while he was training Naruto, he hid key words in there, I'm sure he thought of the book during his last moments and wrote down the words that took him a while to write. If you go to each page, and where the words are located, it's pretty easy to crack, but that took me two hours at best because that book is absolutely disgusting, if I could bleach my eyes with out losing my sight, I would." I say and go back to what I was doing. 

I go back and forth through the library, doing what I need to do and once I finish what I needed to do, I look over my notes, memorizing them. I put the books away which takes a while since I was reading so many. I walk to Tsunade's office and I knock.

"Come in."

I walk in and set the papers on her desk. "Everything I could figure out, the code was simple to break, that's the first page, and the rest is everything I could piece together about the Rinnegan and its paths." I say to her and Tsunade's eyes widen as she looks at the large stack of papers.

"How did you get from the code to the Rinnegan?" Tsunade asks me.

"That's simple. The code says 'The real one isn't among them', the first thought that crossed my mind was the Rinnegan since it has the ability to control the seven paths, The Animal Path, the Asura Path, the Deva Path, the Human Path, the Naraka Path, the Outer Path and the Preta Path, with these paths you need bodies to contain each element, 6 bodies to be exact, the real body is somewhere high up where they can get some sort of service to control the bodies." I say to her and Tsunade's eyes widen, remembering something.

"Back during the Third Great Ninja War, there were three kids, one had red hair, I didn't think much of him, but his eyes, they had a purple ripple pattern." Tsunade says to me.

"That would be the Rinnegan." I say to her.

"But I thought all three died, Jiraiya got a note after he finished training them Jutsu to protect themselves, saying they died." Tsunade says to me.

My eyebrows furrow as I think. "Faked death, otherwise I would have heard something about another kid having the ripple pattern through missions." I say to her and Tsunade nods. I walk to the door. "I'm going to catch this guy, he has wronged." I say and Tsunade stands up abruptly.

"Storm, whatever happens, your to come back safe, I will not allow you to die." Tsunade says to me.

I nod slightly. "This is my mission, don't send anyone to help me or they'll just get in my way." I say and Tsunade nods.

I walk to the gates and see Shikamaru there waiting.

"Your not going after this guy alone." Shikamaru says to me in a serious tone.

I look at him. "Yes I am, he killed a powerful Shinobi of the Leaf Village, he used to be a student under Jiraiya during the Third Great Shinobi War, this is my mission Shikamaru, stay here and make sure Tsunade goes through those notes I gave her, you and everyone else should look at them too. I already know what I need to, to form a plan with out getting killed, hurt maybe, but not killed." I say to him in a serious tone with a serious look in my eyes.

Shikamaru steps back shocked. "Storm." He says shocked.

"SENSEI!"

I look back to see my students. "How do you guys always stop me before I go on a dangerous mission?" I ask them.

"Another dangerous mission? Aren't you going to train us?" Haru asks me.

I nod. "Work on your Tai-Jutsu and Nin-Jutsu skills, I suck at Gen-Jutsu so don't ask me to teach you that, you'd have to ask one of my wolf summons for that." I say to them. "And Kuro, I suggest you teach them Tai-Jutsu, your probably, most likely, just as strong as me in that department." I say to them.

"But Sensei, your supposed to teach us." Kuro says to me.

I smile at them. "I will once I get back, although it might be a while." I say and they pout and I look at them for a second before I sigh. "Fine, go find Kakashi-Sensei or Guy, ask one of them to look after your training while I'm doing this mission, they're both as strong as me, since they both taught me." I say to them and they grin and run off. I sigh. "What am I going to do with those three, I have to balance everything at once, and then I have that looming over my head, another thing going to happen, and then this and that, and ugh, I can't keep up." I say and Shikamaru, Izumo and Kotesu chuckle.

"You'll figure it out. You always do." Shikamaru says patting my head. "There, there, little puppy." 

I walk out of the gates and run to the border of the water country.
