Chapter 9.
Tiffany and I sat in the waiting room as George was in the room with his mom.
"I hope everything's alright. She's always been so good to me...she's like my second mom you know?" I looked down at my feet and wiped tear from my eye.
"I'm sure she's just fine Moll. Think positive thoughts." She held my hand. I looked at her and nodded.
"I hope you're right."
We sat silently until we saw George walk into the room, sigh heavily and sit between us.
"So??" I asked, sitting up attentively.
"She's alright. Just had a minor attack. Has to spend the night. Dad was a bit shaken up but he's alright now. She wants to see you."
I nodded and kissed his cheek, squeezing his hand. "I'll be right back."
He nodded and watched me leave. I entered the room and smiled as she laid on the bed.
"It's so lovely to see you here. I thought George would come alone but...he said you were out waiting. I had to see you." She sat up. I sat in the small chair beside her bed and reached for her hand.
"I'm so glad you're alright. George was so scared and we raced here as fast as we could."
"Who brought you?"
"A friend of mine."
She looked at me. "Not that Peter fellow..."
"Oh no! Believe me we...we split. I made a friend at work. Her name is Tiffany."
She smiled. "It's nice to hear you made a female friend. You seem happier. Your eyes are bright."
I blushed and rubbed the back of her hand. "I am. Enough about me though. What happened??"
She sighed and shook her head. "Your father called. He mentioned you haven't called him back. He was wondering if you were alright. I mentioned you began working. He figured you were too busy. You really should talk to him love."
I bit my lip. "I know. I just...I love dad. He's just so serious."
"He's your father. He loves you and even if you don't know it, you're hurting him. He just wants to be that family again."
"I don't know if I can. When George told me about you being in the hospital...I assumed the worst. I couldn't lose another mom."
She smiled and stroked the side of my face. "You're such a sweetheart. I love you Molly. You've been like another daughter to me. Especially after your mother passed. You and George have spent most of your teenage years together. I can see he looks up to you."
"He does?"
"Oh yeah. Before your mum passed, you were always so cheery and forward. You would speak your mind, tease him and drag him to the record store with his brother Peter. Remember?"
I giggled. "I miss those days. I want things to be like that again. I want to make things better."
"Then do it Molly. George um...he mentioned you and his friend John are getting quite friendly. I always thought he was a cutie." She giggled. I laughed.
"He is cute. Were just friends though. For the first time yesterday I got a look at his band. Looks like you raised a future Elvis." I teased. She smiled.
"My Georgie sure loves that guitar. Can I ask something?"
I nodded.
"Take care of him. Please? I know he says he can take care of himself and he has his mates. But, men underestimate a womans scorn."
"That's for sure. I'll take care of him missus Harrison."
"Please. Louise." She patted my arm. I smiled.
"Louise." I kissed her cheek. "I love you."
"I love you too dear. I should get some rest. I can't wait to be out of this place in the bloody morning."
I stood up and giggled. "I'll take George home."
"Good. G'night love."
"Night Louise."
I left the room and met with Tiffany and George. He stood up as I neared.
"She's tired. I told her I'd take you home."
"Alright. Thanks for bringing me here you two. I just want to get this night over with." He yawned. I yawned at the sight of him yawning, making Tiffany yawn.
"Will you two stop!" She rubbed her eyes. We laughed and made our way out the building to her car. The drive was pretty nice. Soft music from the radio, the dark empty roads. When we arrived to ours, we sat in the car.
"Thanks Tiffany. For the lift and...for opening Molly's eyes." George said, opening the backseat door.
"No problem. I'm delighted." She smiled at me.
"G'night George. Remember school." I said, turning back to look at him. He rolled his eyes.
"I knew mum would get to you. I will don't worry. Good night." He smiled, getting out and giving a small wave before going inside his home. I sighed and sat back in my seat, staring out the front windsheild.
"I wonder if the party is still going on." She said.
I looked at her and smiled. "You think?"
She shrugged. "One way to find out."
I giggled and sighed. "D'you think John is still...you know.."
"If he is I gotta say, his cock must be made of gold or sometning." She laughed.
"He's really great in bed." I smiled. "Have you ever? I mean...sex with a guy?"
She looked at me and nodded. "I have. Back in New York. I was fifteen."
"And?"
She shrugged. "It just didn't do it for me you know?"
"How many girls?"
She giggled to herself and looked at me. "Only three. You being my third."
I felt my face turn red as I looked out the window. "I um...I have to be honest. What happened earlier was pretty great."
She smiled. "Yeah?"
I nodded. She leaned over and kissed my cheek.
"What if we find Lennon, and come back here?" She whispered in my ear.
"Let's get going then." I smiled.
...
The party was still on. Just a little more empty since it was late. I looked around and noticed Stuart was gone. To be honest, I felt a little disappointed at his absence. But luckily John was in the kitchen with Paul, having a drink. He stared at me as I giggled with Tiff.
"Is he looking?" I asked. She nodded and giggled.
"He's whispered something to Paul, pointing this way. I think we should reel in the bait."
I smiled and wrapped my arms around her waist. Her arms around my shoulders as we began to kiss. Our lips moving together in sync.
"Mmmm. They're coming." She mumbled against my lips. I smiled and slowly pulled back as John broke us up.
"What's this?"
We looked over at the two guys. They looked excited and wanting in on what was going on.
"What does it look like?" I asked.
"It looks like you two have gotten on a little more than I thought." John smiled.
I giggled. "Wouldn't you like to know."
He ran a hand through his hair and looked at Paul, who looked equally frustrated. I felt bad for him, realising this was all just for John.
It's like she knew what I was thinking. Our eyes met and broke away as she pulled away from me and grabbed Paul's hand.
"So, how about you give me another tour of your place?" She gave a naughty smile, leaning into his ear and whispering. His eyes lit up and nodded.
"Whelp, I think it's time this party finishes." Paul said, wrapping an arm around Tiff's waist. I smiled as John moved an arm around my shoulder.
"Off to yours?" He asked me. I nodded.
"Tiff's my ride. Dad aint home and there's a spare bedroom." I smiled. He wiggled his eyebrows up and down.
...
The phone woke up me the next morning. I groaned and picked my head up off the pillow, noticing John was still sleeping beside me. I heard the front door open and close. Tiffany and Paul must have left. The clock reading seven. I grabbed the reciever too late.
"Hello?" I asked. The other line dead. I sighed and laid on my back, staring at the ceiling. John wrapping an arm around me and falling back asleep. I looked at him and ran a hand through his hair.
"John?" I asked silently. No answer. "John."
He mumbled a hmmm?
"You have classes today right?"
"Mhhm."
"Can you um....tell Stuart I said hi?"
He stayed silent and opened his eyes. "Stuart? When did..."
"At the party. We talked a bit but it was cut short when we had to leave."
"Ye like Stu?"
"N...no. He was just nice for a talk you know?"
He shrugged and closed his eyes again. "Alright. Shhh let's sleep yeah?"
I closed my eyes and placed my hand on his, falling asleep.
...
"Paul was amazing in bed. I mean, his cock isn't even that big you know?" Tiffany said, pouring ketchup into the small bottles at the counter. I giggled, putting sugar in the shakers.
"It must have been big enough to do something right."
"Oh believe me, he makes up for it with his roughness"
I burst out laughing and quickly held it in when I got funny looks. Tiff smiled.
"How was mister fast? You know he seemed to really slam into you all night." She raised her eyebrows. I blushed.
"It's just sex Tiff. To be honest I don't know when I'll be ready for a real relationship. I just wanna have fun."
"Nothing wrong with a little fun. Table two." she said, handing me my notepad. I nodded and walked over, slowing down to see Stuart. His eyes meeting mine, making me blush as I approached.
