Chapter three

When I came back home, I took a long hot shower and then hopped into my favourite pyjamas that my dad bought me last year. I couldn't stop thinking about today and how Bradley was so sweet. I got my laptop out and watched movies for the night. After that I went to sleep thinking about him. The next morning I woke up late by the smell of waffles, yum! I got out of bed, went to the bathroom and fixed my hair. I was leaving my room fast because I was super hungry, then I heard my phone ring. I turned around And looked on the screen and the was a message for an unknown user. I opened my phone and checked the message. I was praying that it was Bradley. Then I saw a message about my monthly plan. It was from the stupid phone company. I threw my phone on the bed and headed downstairs to eat.

-"So how was the date with Bradley?" She asked me while looking at me with a huge smile.

-"Mom! It wasn't a date!" I replied.

-"well dinner for two sounds like a date to me" my mom said while making coffee.

I stopped talking and ate my waffle. I was thinking about last night. I never talked that much about my personal life to someone that much. I felt happy and relaxed around someone that i barley knew. That was a first for me.

Days went on with no text from Bradley. Maybe he wasn't interested and already had someone in view. I moved on.
School was starting in a month and I didn't want that to ruin my summer. My mom knew the owner of the corner store and the guy offered me a job and I took it. It was only a few hours a day but I nothing else to do so it was okay. It paid well. I even met a friend, Alice. She is very nice and we hang out a lot together. It's fun to know at least one person in this town.

-"hey sweety, Bradley is here." you My mom said to me while I was eating lunch.

-"what do you mean he's here?" I asked her.

-"well he is at the front door." My mom said.

I made my way to the door. Luckily I was properly dressed and had makeup on.

-"hi." I said to him with a small forced smile.

-"hi, uhh, I was wondering if you'll like to come hang out with my friends and I." He asked while smiling.

-"Umm, sure." I said even though I was kind of upset that he did not call me.

-"do I bring something?" I asked him while taking my coat.

He smiled and said no while walking towards his car. He opened the door for me.
No guy ever did that to me. Not even Jack. He turned his head towards me while driving and gave that sexy smile of his. I was afraid that he would see me blush. He started laughing and I looked out the window as soon as possible. We had been driving for the past 45 minutes in the country and we didn't say a word. He turned up the music a little bit higher and started nodding his head while looking towards the road. He started signing with a small voice so that I wouldn't hear him but it didn't work, I could still hear him. I started laughing and looked at him. He gave me a smirk and sang even louder. I realized afterwards that the song playing was come as you are by nirvana, one of my favorite song ever, After the song ended we had arrived at the unknown destination. He walked around his car quickly and opened my door. I thanked him and I followed him to the spot.

-"Oh no, I forgot something in the car, I'll be right back." He said while winking at me.

I looked around and instantly saw the beautiful view of a river. It was breathtaking.
The sky was grey like it was gonna rain but it was still light outside. I sat down on the grass and admired the view. A few minutes later, Bradley was back with a picnic basket and a blanket.

-"So were are your friends?" I asked curiously while looking around.
-"there not here" he replied.

I looked at him with a confused look on my face.

-"I kind of made that up so you would come with me." He said while looking towards the ground and blushing a little bit.
I thought it that cute. Seeing a guy that was to nervous to ask someone on a date.
Wait... as I think about it, is this a date? Or something else. Questions were running threw my head.
After a few secondes of silence he gently dropped the picnic basket to put the blanket on the ground. He smiled and opened the basket to find his MacBook. I didn't really understand why until he ask me what movie I wanted to watch. After a few minutes of searching we finally made a decision to watch fast & furious 6. We were sitting on the blanket and eating sandwiches and enjoying the film. After it ended we sat there talking about random stuff and we were flirting together.

-"You're cool to hang out with. You also have a great taste in music and movies." He said while looking at me.

-"Well thank you." I said smiling.

then I felt a rain drop on my forehead.
A few seconds later it started to rain a lot so we tried to get everything packed as fast as possible. While I was picking up the wet blanket on the ground I slipped and fell on my back. I immediately started laughing because I was covered in mud and soaking wet. He looked up and made his way towards me with a confused look on his face.

-"Are you okay Katherine? Are you hurt?" He said.

-"I'm fine." I said while laughing.

He looked at me and smiled. He gave me his hand to pull me up and then slipped while helping me.
There we were, in the middle of nowhere while it was raining, he was on top of me. We started laughing for a few seconds and then our eyes caught. We instantly stopped talking and just looked at each other. Our breaths got heavier. He leaned towards me and kissed me. His lips were the softest I have ever kissed. After only a few seconds that wasn't long enough, he got up and grabbed the basket and the blanket. During the few secondes of kissing I didn't even realize that it stopped raining. I got up and wiped the mud off my butt. We talked on the way back home. I realized that he was a really good guy and had insanely soft lips but I'm scared of falling to hard for him and have false hope. I have to be mature and not get carried away by my feelings and get hurt.
