park jimin

he's never felt so lonely until now, until only one of the people who came into his life left. the most important person in his eyes.

jimin messed up, he knows that. but he's too scared to make it right. which is why jimin was currently packing his things, leaving an envelope full of money for taehyung and his family.

they've done too much for the poor boy, it's time for him to finish his own journey.

ring, ring.

"hello," jimin said as he picked up his phone.

"i'm sorry, but you said you were moving in today, correct?" ms lee asked through the phone.

"yes. that's fine, right?" jimin hesitantly asked, nervous about the answer.

"it's perfect! i just wanted to know if you needed any help with your things, if you don't have help already."

"send hoseok, please," jimin answered, zipping up his last suitcase. he'll have to return those later.

••

"so, you're moving in huh?" hoseok spoke up, tossing the last bag into the trunk of his car.

"yeah. i honesty can't believe it," jimin smiled to himself, gracefully hopping into the vehicle.

"you're a hard worker, bud. you shouldn't even have to be doing this at such a young age," hoseok pauses for a moment. "and i was meaning to ask. why are you running away from your family? did you come out as gay or something?"

jimin's breath hitched. "no." he didn't even want to know what would've happened if he confessed that. they probably would've made it another reason to get rid of him.

"i'm just starting adulthood early, y'know?" jimin half lied. although he knows hoseok wouldn't judge him, he just doesn't want the older to pity him.

"hm, i understand. well the place is beautiful. i used to live there and it's pretty amazing for a free room. i was going to get yoongi to move in with me, but he didn't want to leave his home." hoseok only tried to make conversation with jimin as he drove, as silence kills the elder.

"the kids are amazing there too. we're like a family there now," jimin spoke quietly, again smiling. he'd start teaching again soon, and he couldn't wait.

"they are amazing," hoseok chuckled, eyes crinkling. "they really miss you."

"ah, tell them i miss them too."

"noted. also, how does taehyung feel about you moving? i'm sure he made a fuss," hoseok smirked, knowing how difficult the younger is.

"i don't know." jimin took a deep breath. "i left him an envelope with money and a note. i'm not sure if he's opened it yet."

hoseok froze, quickly thawing due to the fact that he was driving. "he... doesn't know? you do realize that taehyung won't take that money." hoseok said, not taking his eyes off of the road.

"what do you mean?" jimin inquired, needing an explanation.

"oh, c'mon. you practically know tae better than me now. for you, he wants nothing in return. tae doesn't know that he's like this, but he is," hoseok explained, jimin understanding.

"my happiness.. makes him happy," jimin thought to himself, causing a smile to appear.

"tae's a good guy," jimin said aloud, playing with his fingers on his lap.

"tell him that. also, your crush on him is totally obvious. you should tell him that too, you won't regret it," hoseok winked as he pulled into bighit's parking lot.
