park jimin
throughout the last part of the day, jimin kept attempting at the comics taehyung had let him borrow. he wasn't the best at english, so he didn't understand most of it. the pictures were pretty cool though. the art style was completely different to what he's ever seen. and although jimin couldn't understand the writing, he could understand the emotion the comic was portraying. he wanted to know more though, it was an addiction.
jimin didn't know how he'd be able to know more, as he thought taehyung might be upset with him. he cringed at his interactions with taehyung. the younger was always so awkward around him, it was almost like he didn't want jimin around him. yet jimin would have to be around him for a little while.
jimin was lost in thought until he felt a light tap on his shoulder.
"c'mon, get ready. i'll meet you on the bus, okay?" taehyung's tall and masculine figure appeared in front of jimin, causing jimin to freeze immediately. he was incredibly handsome, anyone would agree, but there was something about him which makes jimin think he's special. yet not even jimin knows what that is.
"uh yeah, see you," jimin blushed profusely, shoving his work in a grocery bag namjoon gave him, before scurrying out of the classroom.
••
jimin entered the bus with a sigh escaping his lips. he couldn't believe he agreed to do this, yet it was probably the safest choice he had.
"get to your seat, kid," the bus driver spat, noticing how a boy was just standing at the front of the bus. jimin jolted in response, quickly taking his seat beside taehyung.
there was a deafening silence between the two boys during the ride home. taehyung didn't want to say anything. and jimin didn't know what to say, fearing that he'd say the wrong thing. jimin whined quietly at the thought.
"jimin, i don't hate you," taehyung barely whispered, not even looking at the elder.
"i know, you've already told me," jimin whispered back, playing with the hem of his coat.
"okay... cheer up then, would ya?" taehyung turned to jimin, giving a half smile.
"yeah.. um.. sorry," jimin couldn't find the guts to look at the younger. he only looked from the corner of his eyes.
"anyways, we're at our stop, let's go." the two boys threw their bags over their shoulders, heading off the bus.
stepping onto the cold ground again and feeling the frigid wind was heaven to jimin. he felt like he was finally able to breathe, grow distance between him and taehyung. able to go home.
"hey, where do you think you're going?" taehyung called to the shorter, seeing as he was taking the shortcut to his old house.
"oh yeah... forgot i was heading with you," jimin mumbled sadly, turning back to walk with taehyung.
"do you really not want to go? i'm just trying to help," taehyung frowned, but spoke sincerely. jimin knew he was acting like a bitch, but he hated this. well... he didn't hate this. he just hated the reason why all of this is happening.
"i'm sorry. i'm so sorry for acting like that. i-." taehyung cut him off.
"enough. let's go," taehyung began to walk, and jimin's heart cracked.
he must've said the wrong thing.
