kim taehyung

taehyung took a deep breath before entering his home. he didn't want to be here, but he was also glad that fourth period finally ended. it has been awkward for everyone in that class since jimin failed to read an answer. but home life wasn't any better at the moment. it's not that he didn't like his home life; he just didn't understand it. and his family didn't understand him either.

"oh, tae, you home finally!" his non korean mother, who barely knew korean, ran to taehyung to give him a hug.

"hello, mom," taehyung replied in english, smiling to his mother. although his mom doesn't know a lot of korean, he knows she tries. she loves her family too much to just give up. and even if their mother came into their life seven years ago, all of this still feels new.

and yes, taehyung had a mother before, his mother now, jada. but when taehyung was only two, his parents divorced. his mother didn't want to raise taehyung, she wanted an abortion, so she could get her education. she was pregnant at eighteen, and gave birth at nineteen. taehyung's father, min-jun, would not let taehyung's mother get an abortion. that was their child. he'd do anything to keep them alive.

but when taehyung was born, nothing got better. it had gotten worse, actually. min-jun's girlfriend went back to school, and min-jun didn't know what to do with the baby. he either had to take time off work, which wouldn't get him any money. baby's are expensive, yknow? or he had to find someone that was able to take care of the baby. he chose the latter. min-jun decided that his mother was the best choice. she had experience, and didn't work, and supported her son's decisions. she gladly took taehyung in. so up until taehyung was three, he was raised by his grandmother. and by the time school came, everything calmed down. min-jun was gaining more and more money, and he had found someone he was sure she was his soulmate. jada.

jada had milk chocolate skin, which complimented her bright green eyes. her hair was short and dark, sitting curly on top of her head. she had a slim face, and a huge smile. a few dark freckles danced on her cheekbones. jada was fairly short, only 5'4. but she was the most stunning woman taehyung has ever seen. her personality was amazing too. she was protective in the right way, and could make you laugh if you were feeling down. she's very artistic, and has a passion for both music and painting. taehyung aspires to be like her. the paint splattered all over her skin while she does her magic on the primed wood and singing her heart out excites taehyung. but jada is also very weird and wacky. she definitely brings this family together.

"dad is work, and isaiah is in room," jada spoke in broken korean. oh yeah, taehyung has a brother too. when min-jun and jada met, jada already had a son. her son is a year younger than taehyung, turning sixteen in a few months. he looks exactly like his mother. jada was also nineteen when she had her child, and she's thirty four at the moment.

"mom, speak english. i can understand you, yknow?" jada did know that most of the family could understand english. she just felt bad that she didn't know korean.

"okay... i swear my korean will get better!" she saluted, going back into her little work area to finish up a painting.

taehyung chuckled, heading upstairs to his room to do his homework.

"tell me when dinners ready!"
