~1~

Rapunzel walked down the corridor of the huge hallways of the castle, admiring the beautiful portraits of the past kings and queens. I was watching her and ya know, it feels nice to watch your beautiful girlfriend admire paintings.

She twirled down the hallway humming Wind In My Hair. I stepped out of the room I was hiding in and shouted, "BOO!"

Rapunzel screamed and somehow jumped really high. Hmm. All that lifting Gothel and being stuck in a tower for 18 years must have improved her skills!

I moved quickly, catching her in my arms bridal style. "Hi." I chuckled.

Rapunzel giggled and shoved my chest. "Eugene!"

We heard footsteps and before I had a chance to put Blondie down, King Frederic and Queen Arianna rushed in with worried faces.

Frederic saw his daughter in the arms of Eugene Fitzherbert(that's me) and gasped. We looked like we were teasing each other but no, we were so not(I think).

"Uh...we'll go now bye!" Arianna grabbed her husband's hand and dragged him back to where they came from.

Rapunzel laughed. "Oh, my parents."  She hugged my neck and smiled against my skin.

I said, "Okay, I can work with that," and walked towards Blondie's private chambers. Once I arrived, I set her down on her bed and jumped on top of her.

"Eugene!" She giggled, ruffling my brown hair. How much more adorable could she get? Probably a lot.

Suddenly, I heard the door open and Cassandra walked in. Cassandra. CASSANDRA. Ugh, Cassandra.

I quickly jumped off of Rapunzel and plastered a fake smile on my face. "HI CASSANDRA," I managed to get out.

"Hi Eugene, Rapunzel." She seemed perfectly calm with ruining my special moment with Blondie.

Rapunzel sat up and smiled cheekily. "Hi, Cassandra!"

Cassandra handed over a glass of milk and delicious-looking crispy brown chocolate chip cookies. She left as soon as she was done.

I sat on the floor and gave her my smolder. Rapunzel didn't budge but she was smiling. I sighed. I would have to use my ultimate weapon. I opened my eyes extra wide and gave her the most adorable puppy eyes that even an actual puppy couldn't match.

Rapunzel squealed and hugged me. I watched her as she dipped a cookie in the white milk and put it in my mouth. I crunched, biting down and savoring the delicious sweetness of cookies. I giggled and sat crisscross.

"Aww, Eugene," Rapunzel giggled. "Here." She gave me another one as she ate hers.

Pascal sat in the corner, munching on a carrot.

I decided to surprise Blondie. I crawled behind her as she ate a crispy cookie and hugged her from behind, causing her to squeak.

I dragged her and me to the headboard and took her hand into mine, putting her hands on her stomach. I leaned back in a sitting-sleeping position. I tickled her slender curves and she squealed, hitting my hands gently.

She sighed, seeming to relax. That's when I blew cold air on the right side of her neck and she giggled.

"Eugene! You know I'm ticklish!"

"That's why I'm doing this in the first place!"

"Ee!" She squeaked when I did it again. "Sometimes I wish I wasn't ticklish."

"No. Being ticklish is what makes you, you. Besides, you're playful and loving and beautiful and happy and everything I could possibly want. Eh, you would be kinda boring if I tickled you and you didn't laugh," I said.

Rapunzel smiled sweetly and hugged me. I giggled and blew at her chest. She immediately turned around so her back was on my chest.

"It feels even more tickly if you do it on my chest!"

"Oh, thanks for the fact," I grinned.

Blondie took my hands and put them on her lap. "Have you ever wondered what life would be like if we didn't meet each other?" She played with my fingers.

I opened my mouth to speak but debated saying that. Instead, I told her, "Let's not think about the past. Let's just think about what'll happen in the future, Blondie."

"Okay, Eugene." She pecked me on the lips and turned around again. I giggled in response when she took my hands and wrapped her arms around them. I rested my chin on her head and she exclaimed, "Hey! I'm not a headrest, Eugene!"

"Oh, but you are!"

Rapunzel hit my thighs and I winced. "Hey!" Before I had the chance to say anything else, the door suddenly opened and I gasped to see King Frederic.

"Mr. King?" That was what I called him now.

"What is it, Dad?" Rapunzel asked.

Frederic gasped(AGAIN) when he saw Rapunzel sitting in my lap and me, currently in the position of pain because she hit me for calling her a headrest. Or rather, announcing her as a headrest.

"Should I come back later?"
