~{Reese POV}~ (holy fuck y'all it me)

A few hours ago I got off of work, it was now 8:30 pm. I got changed into my night clothes, consisting of a navy blue NASA sweater and dark gray shorts. My lab-boxer mix was on the couch, curled up and asleep. He's been here since I was about 12, and he's very protective. We named him Bull.

I walked out of my room, and seen my phone on the coffee table ringing. I picked it up and answered it. "Hello?" I said. "Hey Reese!" I immediately recognized that voice.

"Hey Alex!" I said excitedly. I went and sat on the couch and put my legs over the arm of it. "I was wondering if you would answer, the phone was ringing for a minute." They said. I laughed. "Sorry, I was changing into my night clothes." "That's understandable." They replied.

{Time skip about four hours later}

I was now in bed, still talking to Alex. "And then, he said some shit about Kiara and I just lunged at him!" They said. I laughed more. "No one talks shit about my fur baby!" They said, laughing. "Honestly, I would do the same if someone talked smack about Bull." I said. "It's been good talking to you after a few years." I murmured. "It has. I need to get to sleep, I have an early shift in the morning." They said. "I gotta go to sleep too, I have the day off tomorrow, and I'm planning on going to see a movie by myself. That or just stay in and listen to music all day." I said giggling. "Well, I love you." They said. I blushed slightly and smiled. "I love you too, Alex." They then said bye and hung up. I smiled more to myself and laid down, facing the ceiling. Bull then came into my room and jumped up on to the bed, and laying his head in my lap. "Hey there buddy." I said as I pet his ears. "We've gotta go to bed." I kissed him on the head, moved it and got up to turn off the lights. I then felt a sharp pain in my tailbone and head. I fell down, screaming in pain. Bull heard me and rushed over to me. I was now on my elbows and knees, with my back arched in pain. I screamed more, by now I probably woke up the whole block, despite the soundproof walls. I started to cry out of the pain. I passed out.

{The next morning}

I woke up on the floor. I then felt the pain, but duller. "What.. happened last night?" I asked myself. I then seen Bull beside me, now awake and whining. "I'm okay, Bull." I said and tried to stand up. I then felt my head. "Wait.. what the fuck?" I said quietly and rushed to my bathroom mirror. Then I saw them. Two fluffy wolf ears sat on top of my head. "What the fuck?!" I shouted. I then looked behind me. There was a tail too. 'wonderful..' I thought to myself. U then heard my phone ring, and I run out of my bathroom to see it Alex. "Hey Alex, what's up?" I said, trying not to sound freaked out. "Reese, I need you to come to my apartment, NOW!" Alex said, hurriedly. "Why, what's wrong?" I asked, hoping it's not the same situation with them. "I'll explain everything, I'll text you the address." "Okay, I'll be there soon." I said and hung up. They then sent me the address and the room number. I looked around for some kind of hat. I seen a beanie and reached for it. I put it on and then looked for something to cover my tail. It's really weird saying that. I went to my closet to see if I had anything to help. I seen a large hoodie. 'It'll work, for now.' I grabbed it and put it on, stuffing my tail into it. I left my shorts on and rushed out if my house, quickly putting on shoes.

Within twenty minutes I was there. I went to apartment number 402. I then knocked on the door, and waited for a few seconds. Someone answered the door and pulled me in. I knew it was Alex. "Alex, what's going on?" I said, looking around. I looked up at them. They had the same wolf-like ears as I did. "Reese, I'm freaking out. Last night, right after we hung up I felt a really bad pain in my-" I then cut them off. "-head and tailbone?" I finished. They nodded and noticed the lump in my beanie. "Did it happen to you?" I responded by nodding. I took off my hoodie and beanie. "I woke up with these.." I said. "I did too. I honestly think I disturbed the whole building." They said anxiously. "Well, let's see what we can find on what's happening to us.." I said and pulled out my phone.
