Jesse's eyes slowly started to close as Stella walked into the room. "Oh ho ho?-" She said as she flipped a lever next to the door, turning on the overhead light. Jesse groaned, then turned on his side, blocking his eyes. Stella sat down on the chest at the end of the bed. "Since when were you suddenly living in my house?" She asked him, getting no response back. Jesse huffed, and sat up to look at her. "Not now, Stella. I'm tired.. " He groaned.
"And I'm asking you a question that deserves an answer" She spat as she pulled the covers off of the bed. "Get up, Now. It's two in the morning and you're 'girlfriend' is wondering where you are". Jesse threw himself off of the bed. "You're my girlfriend, alright? I don't like Petra like that. I'm only sleeping here because this was the closest place to the mines. I know you don't like it when I sleep in your room. Or anywhere in your house, actually. But I appreciate the sleep you actually allowed me to have" He said as he got up and pulled his muddy boots on. She sighed. "Listen.. I hate it when you sleep in my house because I'm afraid of people finding out about us, plus it's weird. 'Rivals are dating'?.. Just imagine it Jesse. People will start visiting your town, and. I don't want that. I like my city, and my friends, and I think we're both alright with the amount of attention that we get" She told him, ignoring the dry mud stain on the soft, baige floor carpet. Jesse walked over to her, leaving a trail of muddy footprints, and kissed her gently. "I love you.. Alright? Nothing is gonna change that. I understand what you mean, but after what we've been through, I doubt they'll wanna come over to my town" He whispered, letting the ambience be. Stella relaxed, leaning on him. She knew she could be herself with him. Finally, someone to love. Jesse wrapped his arms around her, making sure not to squeeze his fragile angel. "I love you too.. Thank you"
