Chapter 6
louis hasn't been blind his whole life so he knows what stuff usually looks like (we'll learn more abt how he became blind later)
also earlier i said they lived in yorkshire but i'm actually gonna change it to london
Louis so desperately wanted to become invisible in that moment.
That statement was not meant to come out at all. It was just something he blurted out and regretted instinctively. Part of him wanted to know what Harry's facial expression looked like, as the dominant was not making any sound. But another part of him didn't want to face the rejection if he were to see Harry's disgusted face.
What the blind boy couldn't see, was Harry with a puzzled, yet fond expression.
Louis feels his cheeks heat up and he automatically backs away, apologizing, "'m sorry. I—"
"Can I kiss you?" Harry gently asks.
Just as Louis' about to indulge in rambling at an attempt to redeem himself, he pauses. "W-What?" He didn't think his blush could deepen.
"I said," Harry smirks and moves closer to the younger boy. "Well, more like asked, if I could kiss you." Harry's spirit isn't crushed when Louis doesn't say anything. Louis is looking at him in shock, unsure of what to say. Harry understands he's just taken off guard, he only worries that Louis doesn't feel uncomfortable. "You see," Harry continues, "I ask because I've become quite infatuated with you. So infatuated, that I've remembered the little things. I remember your coffee order, how family-oriented you are, your favorite books, and how you like to be asked before being touched."
Louis remains silent for a moment, trying to collect his thoughts, Once he realizes it may take a while to form words, he just decides to nod. Soon the feeling of Harry grasping the back of his neck and locking their lips takes over. Louis' lips move along with Harry's, moving his hands to tug at the man's shirt.
Harry reluctantly pulls away after a while, catching his breath before explaining, "if we didn't stop then, I'm afraid that would've lead to something else." Not like Harry didn't want that, but he wasn't sure if Louis would be comfortable with that.
Usually, if it were any other guy, Louis would've wanted to take them to bed at that moment. But with Harry, it was much more serious. Harry was the man Louis dreamed of being matched with and waiting for. He didn't want to rush things at all, even if it seemed old fashioned. Louis smiled at Harry, glad they were on the same page.
"I... I want to court you, Louis," Harry says with a smile. "We've already been seeing each other, but I want to see each other as dominant and submissive." Louis at first was about to agree, but then frowns. "What is it?" Harry asks, frowning as well.
Louis bites his lip before confessing, "I don't just want a dominant, I-I want a boyfriend too."
Harry's quick to reply, "of course, Lou. I just think we should court our BDSM lifestyles before becoming boyfriends and all."
Louis smiles up at Harry, wondering how he became blessed with meeting the dominant he's always dreamed of. "Kiss me again."

"So Gemma and I were fighting about who had the TV," Harry says, with a wide smile on his face. "I don't know what I said, but she said I wasn't making any sense. I yelled back at her that she doesn't make dollars." Harry laughs.
"That's so cute!" Louis giggles. "You and Gemma are so close."
The next day, the dominant and submissive were now out to lunch at a quiet, local diner. Louis picked the place, since the food was great and it was one of the few locations that offered Braille menus.
"We are," Harry hums.
Louis asks, "have you seen her now that she's back from her honeymoon? She was supposed to come back last night, right?"
Harry stiffens. "Um, I talked to her briefly. Haven't seen her, though."
Louis takes a few bites of his burger before saying, "oh, well I can't wait to see her. It's been so long since I've talked to her."
"Enough about Gemma," Harry chuckles. "I wanted to ask you something." Harry continues once he sees he has Louis' full attention, "I... I wanted to ask this somewhere else, but I just can't wait. I—" Harry pauses again before saying, "I want you to be my boyfriend."
"Boyfriend?" Louis blurts out before giggling. "R-Really?" He asks and twists his fingers, not believing it.
Harry nods. "Of course, Lou. Why wouldn't I want you?"
"Yes!" Louis chirps, having an ear splitting grin on his face.
Harry reaches across the table, taking Louis' hand. "I'm gonna take you out tonight. I was gonna ask you there, but like I said, I couldn't help myself."
"Where are we going?" Louis asks, trying to compose himself rather than squeal at the fact that Harry just asked to be his boyfriend.
"Only the finest restaurant in London," Harry preens. "I want to spoil my baby as much as I can." Louis blush deepens and Harry clarifies, "they have Braille menus, by the way."
"I don't want you to spend too much money on me," Louis admits.
Harry chuckles. "Little one, it isn't a problem at all. I can buy the restaurant for you if you'd like."
Louis gasps at the idea, finding himself laughing as well when he hears Harry's giggle.
"I really—"
"Harry Styles!" A feminine voice cries out of anger in the middle of the diner. Everyone's heads turn to the direction of the voice, including Louis. Louis frowns, wishing he was able to see what was going on. Although, what he could hear was the sound of heels clicking against the tile towards their booth.
"Harry?" Louis whimpers, nervous as to why a woman was shouting at Harry.
Harry begins to assure him, "Lou, it's okay— ow, Gemma!" Harry shouts and holds his arm from where Gemma punched him.
"Oh, Gemma!" Louis sighs in relief and smiles in front of Harry, where he assumes Gemma would be.
"Hi, Louis," Gemma responds angrily. Louis frowns at how upset she sounds and decides to stay quiet. "Thank you so much for returning my calls, Harry," Gemma says sarcastically. "Really means a lot."
Harry glares at Gemma. "Thank you so much for being supportive of my decisions."
It's quiet for a moment before Gemma asks, "Louis, mind if I steal him for a moment?"
Louis just shrugs and shakes his head, not sure of what to say. Harry grips the table. "I'm staying here with my boyfriend, so no, sorry."
Gemma's anger diminishes, instead taken over with shock. "B-Boyfriend?" Harry keeps his cold stare on Gemma before she sags her posture, giving up on arguing. "Harry... you can't do this to him."
Harry's eyes widen, immediately getting out of the booth. They already paid for their meal so it wasn't Harry's concern. "C'mon, Lou," Harry grits out and helps the boy out of the booth.
Ignoring Gemma, Harry takes Louis under his arm and speed walks out of the restaurant. Louis walks quickly with the man, trusting he'll lead him safely. He his mindful of the curbs, though.
"Harry, what was she talking about?" Louis asks nervously once they approach the car.
"Nothing," Harry snaps and unlocks the car before opening the door for Louis.
Louis gulps and carefully climbs into the car him, closing the door. He struggles for a few seconds to buckle himself before he hears the click. Harry barely gets into his seat when Louis accomplishes this, otherwise he would've gladly helped his boyfriend, besides his mood.
After a few minutes, Harry sighs and apologizes, "I'm sorry for snapping at you. You were just asking." Harry gently puts his free hand on Louis' thigh, squeezing it.
"It's fine," Louis says quietly.
"Don't even worry about her," Harry tells him. "She doesn't know what she's talking about."
A part of Louis couldn't help but doubt Harry and wonder what Gemma meant. He even felt like contacting Gemma privately and asking her. But entirely, Louis decided to trust his boyfriend and forget about it.
Sadly, he would regret not asking her later.
