Thomas POV

I have trouble waking up, but I get up anyway. I go to the bathroom and look at myself. I look like a dead person or someone who has not slept.

I brush my teeth, take my shower and get dressed. I'm going to the dining room. I realize that I am not very hungry, so I decide not to eat.

I pick up my phone and call James several times. He doesn't answer any of my calls. I notice that I left my pack of cigarettes on the table. I take it and look at it before resting it.

"I started smoking again. Why ? Because I was sad. I'm just an idiot." I say, talking to myself.

I hear the front door open. I look at her and see James. I approach him.

"James, I'm sorry for...for uh..." James looks at me with an impatient look.

"It's fine Thomas. You found the one who loves you and that you love. We can just stay friend." He says with a smile.

"James...I..." James steps back, plugging his nose with his hand.

"You smoke?" He says as if it was a crime.

"I stopped, but I started again." I say. He moves back even further.

"James, I'm not in love with her, but about you, and that will never change. Can you give me a second chance? I love you, my life was not interesting until I saw you for the first time. Will you forgive me? " I begin to walk towards him.

"MOVE AWAY !!!" He scream. This is the first time I see him shout like that. I go back frightened. I see him coughing.

"Are you all right?" I move slowly toward him. He is moving away from me. What's going on?

"Move away I tell you !!!" He says before having a coughing fit. I retreat far enough away from him. I notice that his cough disappears.

"Don't come near me!" He says before heading to his room.

Tears flow from my eyes. I worry about him, but he does not want that I approach him. What can I do ? I wipe my tears.

He leaves his room. He glares at me. I look at him confused.

"James, are you ok?" I ask worried.

"Not thanks to you?" He says coldly.

"What happened?" I ask him.

"I am asthmatic and I can't bear the smell of smoke. If I knew you were a smoker I would never have kissed you !!! " I look at him as confused as before. He rolls his eyes.

"Breathing or smoking can affect my health like.....to advance the day of my death, to kill me faster." He says. I widen my eyes that means that I could have killed him ???

"Just stay away from me for a moment." I ask myself a lot of questions while a long sigh comes to stop my thinking. I decide to speak.

"I'm so sorry for what I did last night. I just felt like you don't take into account our relationship and since Aaron loves you... " I say.

"Bla bla bla...Stop and let me talk." He say before coughing.

"Aaron doesn't love me," He says, finding his voice. I look at him confused.

"Since you said you love me I suggested that he pretend he confesses his feelings of love for me to see your reaction." He says.

"You mean you wanted to hurt me?" I say pissed off.

"No...ok, yes, I wanted revenge on you, after what you did to me with the flowers, but I did not expect you to leave and hide." He says.

"For a moment, I was upset about what I did, but after seeing what you did last night, I have no regrets." He continues.

"But it's your fault if I did that last night!" I say angrily, advancing.

"Of course I told you. Go fuck another girl while I'm not here." He says sarcastically.

"What I know is that no one can trust you in relationship, you will always go with someone else." He says giving me a dark look. These words hurt me so much that tears fall from my eyes.

"Put yourself in my place, Jemmy." I say, drying my tears.

"Already, I'm not like you, I don't drink alcohol. And anyway, even if I doubt in a relationship I will not deceive you, because I can keep my promise." He says with a smile. He tested me it's his fault. I fix the ground.

"Whatever, we have to go to school. Put on perfume and take a chewing gum to hide the smell of cigarettes." I shake my hand in a fist.

"You see!!!!!??? You don't care about our relationship !!! You already forgot it !!!" I say with rage.

"What do you want? That I'm crying like you to show you that I'm sad about what you did? " He says ironically.

"There was a moment when I thought it might work, but when I saw how you console yourself, I quickly dropped the idea. Now go prepare yourself!" I go away and put perfume, take a mint candy, take my bag and put the pack of cigarettes in my room. When I come back to him I see him with his ventolin and a tube. He arranges it in his bag, when he sees me.

"Come on." He says as he came out. I am and close the door behind me.

During the trip, we do not talk, but I ask him a question that will silence the silence between us.

"James?" He gives me a long sigh.

"What?" He said hoarsely.

"Did you say you want that we stay friends?" He rolls his eyes.

"Yes, just for Aaron, it will hurt him to see that two of his friends hate each other." he says.

"You hate me?" I ask sadly. He raises an eyebrow.

"No, I adore you!" He says with a sarcastic voice.

"I'm sorry." I say.

"Thomas, who gets on my nerves is that you made me think you love me." He says.

"But I really love you." I say shyly.

"You show it." He says sarcastically,

"I'm so sorry, I'm drunk..."

"Stp, I understand!" He says annoyed.

"Hi Ronnie!" He says with a smile.

"Hey guys!" Aaron comes to us.

"Thomas okay? After what happened yesterday, I hope you understood that it was just a joke." I nod.

"But why did you kiss a girl? You're with James." He asks. James tells Aaron everything, their friendship makes me jealous.

"I don't want to talk about it," I say.

"Thomas ..." The bell rings.

"We have to go. Come on Ronnie let's go. " He says. James taking Aaron's hand heading into our classroom. I follow them by taking the distance.

I don't know, James, if you know that my love is true. But no matter what you do, I will continue to love you. I can't love anyone but you. I'm not in love with Sally. I kissed her, but I did not feel anything from her. With every kiss you gave me, my heart beat for you.
