I gasped and started claw at my throat but the damn thing went back in!

'Don't fight it Nim.'

I coughed and blood started to come up my throat. I closed my mouth and licked my lips.

Knock Knock

"Nim, are you okay?" Dad asked behind the door.

'You're fine.' Brother echoes in my head.

"I'm fine." I say to dad. I hear his footsteps disappear behind the door. I opened it and stood in the hallway staring at Cain's door.

'Go to the garage.'

I went down stairs, in to the kitchen and opened the garage door.

"Ah Nim, can you get some ground beef, we're having spaghetti." I nod my head at dad, still feeling like crap and walk in the garage and stop at the bottom of the steps.

Mom's car was here along with dad's, so that meant she came home early. I chuckle a little at the fact that she lied to our faces.

'Look under moms car.'

I did as he told me, looking up under it, then popping the hood, was the next thing he told me too.

I didn't know what I was looking for, but it seemed pointless at the moment.

"Nim! Did you find some meat!?" Dad called out. I put the hood down and walked over to the deep freezer and got the meat.

I walked back up the steps and into the kitchen. I gave dad the meat and went back upstairs to my room.

The next day when I went to school I was called to the office while I was in first period.

I sat on the otherwise of the principle's desk, Mr. Watts.

"Nim, we got a call from the hospital this morning from your father. My eyes widen a bit. Did something happen to dad?

"He said your mother was in some car accident. No one hit her or anything, the car lost control while she was on the bypass on the way to work."

My thoughts went back to yesterday when Cain told me to look at the car.

No he wouldn't have, he wouldn't....

"You're excused to go, your father said he was on his way when he called. I nodded and stood up. I went out the office and straight to the bathroom and barfed my guts out.

When I was done I flushed the toilet and slid down against the wall. I wrapped my arms around my legs.

"Caine, Wh-what did you do?" I mumble. Cain bent down in front of me and wrapped his arms around me.

'...She deserved it...'
