Serene was walking down the street to her home. She was in a hurry today to reach home, she wasn't feeling her best and she just wanted to rest it out, the Christmas was near and she didn't wanted to be sick at that time, that was the only time her family would come home and she could feel happy and warm among them. A smile spread across her face as soon as the memories of last year's Christmas came flooding in her mind but then happiness wasn't her thing, she had made herself like that, she had taught herself to be miserable, she herself was her own killer and there it was 'Fate' as said by people which supported her broken state, which wanted her in ruins, there it was again. She was crossings the road but then there was this biker driving without looking anywhere and here it was, a collision between her body the vehicle.
The blood was slightly dripping of her hands as she sat on the street dumbfounded.She was looking over for help, she couldn't find a single soul on the road. Her eyes shot down at her hand which wasn't really helping her much, her knees were bruised as well, she finally decided to get up, as the last thing she wanted was to be dead. She looked up to see him standing a few inches away from her body as he looked in her eyes,"Are you okay? " He asked.
She looked up to find him, the new boy, 'Jungkook',his name escaped her lips, "hold in there I'll take you to the hospital, give me your hand" he said stretching out his arm, she kept her trembling hands on top of his before loosing her consciousness. She wanted to be saved, she wanted to live, but she didn't know the way, she never knew it could just be one hand that could take her out of the darkness.

A week had gone by since the incident and Jungkook made his way to the hospital almost every day to meet her there , he bought her flowers and chocolates but most importantly he loved to be with her. She was going to be back in school again, it was the last week of school before Christmas holidays. She entered the class and for the first time someone greeted her as she came in, "Good morning" he said, the new boy, a smile spread across her face as she greeted him back but there was no change in the other students they were the same. A girl retorted "look at his standards drop, he's as disgusting as her" another one said "I didn't know he likes cheap girls" , a boy also joined in to humiliate the boy even more "how is she, don't look at me like that, do you wanna fight huh! " he threatened , ready to punch him but before he could complete his action he gets knocked down by a kick on his stomach.
He looks around in pain, he notices Serene in front of him. Soon a girls grabs her by her hair "You think you got brave, wait until I prove you wrong, you stupid bitch! " but Serene wasn't in any mood to resist and on top of that she didn't want the new boy to get hurt because of her. She shook of the girls hand, before slapping her on her face "You don't teach me anything, just gate away or I'll teach you not to mess with me again!! " Serene exclaims, for the first time she stands for herself and nothing bad follows her. The rest of her day in school in spent by her peacefully and finally the bell rings, Serene get's her bag to reach home but then someone get's hold of her hand and drags her upstairs to the terrace she first tries to break forth the grip but when she notices the hand to be none other then the new boy's she stops with her struggle and follows him without a word. On reaching the terrace finally he loosens his grip and looks up at her "You did it ,finally you took stand for yourself, thankyou", he said and then before stammering a bit he finally looks into her eyes to ask " Would you go on a date with me, maybe for a movie or dinner?? ", Serene looks at him a broad smile on her face she knows it and he knew it too what her answer must be but still she nudges his shoulder a bit " I'll think about it " She says before bursting into laughter. The air was lighter that day, it was snowing but still it was warm, as both of there warm laughter spread into the atmosphere.
