Chapter 13

Every single day, Goth would visit Palette, hoping he had woken up from his state, and every time he visited, he was met with sadness and disappointment.

The only comfort he currently had was Cray. He was there for him and made him feel safe. He felt happy whenever he was with Cray.

Cray and Goth started hanging out more often, Cray trying to take the pain away from Goth. Though, he'll have to live with the burden with the fact that he just put his childhood friend's boyfriend in a coma and his childhood friend being completely unaware about this.

Goth, due to hanging out with Cray more and more, eventually visited Palette to twice a week. To once a week. Once a month. Once every two months. Once every six months. Once every year.

By now, a few years have passed. Maybe three or four.

One day, Palette woke up. His family was informed, but none of his friends yet. Ink and Dream told Palette what he had missed over the years.

"What about Goth? Where is he?" Palette suddenly asked. The two other skeletons paused. "Well, he hasn't been here for a year. Maybe he found a new boyfrien-" Ink was cut off by Dream. "Don't be such a jerk!" Dream pouted. "I'm sure Goth will be happy to see you!" Dream added.

-Time skip-

Palette made sure that no one would tell Goth that he was awake. He wanted to surprise him. He got a little gift for him and dressed himself up.

He walked to what he remembered to be Goth's house and knocked at the door, patiently waiting for someone to open it.

A few seconds later, someone finally opened it. "HEY GOTH I MISSED Y-" Palette was cut off by the sight of Cray at tbe door instead of Goth. "Oh.. hi, Cray.." Palette basically whispered.

"Cray, honey? Who's at the door?" A voice piped in from inside. There was silence. "It's... uh... you're old friend??" Cray answered back. Goth came out from a room. "Who old frien- PALETTE!" Goth screamed before tackling him.

"I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!!" Goth said, tearing up a bit. "I missed you, too! What's been happening with ya?" Palette asked, a bit worried with what he just heard. 'Did Goth call Cray.. "Honey"?'

"Oh, uh.. well.." Goth got himself up and helped Palette up too. "T-There..There's something I should tell you.." Goth started, making Palette nervous with each passing second.

"Me and Cray are together now."

That one sentence confirmed all of Palette's suspicions. Why Goth hasn't beem visiting, why Ink said that he might've found someone new, why Cray was the one who opened the door.

That one sentence broke his heart. Was he gone for that long?

Palette didn't notice, but tears started rolling down his face. Goth wanted to comfort him, but before he even could, Palette ran away.

He left his gift, though.

-timeskip-

Palette isolated himself, unable to get over with how many things he's missed.

He missed Goth. He wanted him to be his again. But.. he saw no hope for it. He wasn't the same happy, cheerful Palette he was. He was basically a the opposite.

Palette laughed to himself.

-a few days later-

Goth found the gift Palette had left, it was buried in the tall grass. Inside the gift box was a small book filled with pitures he had sneakily took from all of their dates.

Goth couldn't take it anymore. He ran to look for Palette. The first place he obviously went to was Palette's house.

He knocked on the door, waiting for an answer. When he didn't get one, he tried to open the door. It was unlocked.

Goth started to worry. He looked around the living room, kitchen, bathroom. All of it looks like like no one has entered any of those rooms for days. All that was left was Palette's room.

Goth made his way to Palette's room and slowly open the door. He wished to see Palette sleeping soundly on his bed or drawing something on his desk. He wished.

The room had nobody in it. Everything was still the same from when he last saw it. Everything was the same except for one thing that was clearly out of place.

A pile of dust with a note next to it.

Goth felt like crying. "This can't be real.." he repeated to himself over and over as he approached the pile and note.

He shakily picked up the note and read it.

'I'm happy for you! I hope you and Cray have an amazing family!
.
.
.
I'll miss you! I love y'

Goth broke down.

A/N: And the story comes to an end. It was probably very OOC and I apologise for that and sorey if the ending sucked- I haven't really been inspired to write something amazing or cool and stuff- but hey! You got an ending! It's better than those forever cliffhangers-

Btw I hope you cried because.. uh.. idk that was my goal?

(I just read my whole story again. I need more practice- AND I WILL :D)
