Chapter 3:Getting Ready For Graduation

After a quick shower I entered my room and started getting dressed for the graduation when my bedroom door opened to reveal Drew.

"Jeez Drew, not a fan of knocking? " I asked with a slight grin.

She just rolled her eyes at me and smirked. "Please, If I was a serial killer you would be dead by now, considering that your reflexes are one of a dead cow."

"Hey!" I protested.

She just laughed at me and nodded her chin towards my desk and my belongings.

"Want me to do your makeup?" Drew asked as she had small glint in her eyes. She was kind of into doing makeup, nothing big like you would usually see on the internet, just a little work.

"Sure." I answered.

"Did you wanted to do something with your hair or...?", she trailed off.

"I was thinking maybe some light waves, you know, maybe some braids that go around my head like a crown then some light waves out of hair that is left," I answered.

"That sounds good your majesty," Drew mocked.

I rolled my eyes at her.

"But seriously, what do you think ?" I asked her.

"I think that either you gonna burn your hair or your house If you try to do it yourself," she said.

She started laughing at my very annoyed expression.

"That is so not true, I'm not that dysfunctional," I said.

She just started laughing some more; "Sure you're not," she replied back with slight smirk forming up her lips.

"Seriously?" I groaned.

"Well, no matter how much I am enjoying this conversation," she was cut short with my groan of annoyance. "Don't interrupt me," she said with serious face but her tone held playfulness in it.

"Like I was saying before I got interrupted," she shoot me a look then continued. "As much I loved to continue this little teasing contest, which I would win, we don't have all day so I need you to just shut up, sit still and don't move while I do my magic."

"Sure. Why not? By all means, make it pretty." I mumbled to myself but not quite enough because of the look she gave me.

She pushed me gently toward the chair that stood in front of my desk, then she opened my bag where my makeup was and started doing her magic.

While she was doing my makeup I checked her reflection in the mirror in front of me.

She had her makeup light, her eye shadow was a color between the light brown and dark chocolate brown, she had her eyeliner winged at the end, per usual.I was still admiring her ability to do it and make it look like it wasn't a big deal.

It was definitely a big deal. Every time I tried it I end up looking like a raccoon.

I remember when she came for a girls day out,we were mostly hanging in shopping centers or libraries ( which became my obsession thanks to her, I'm officially a bookworm according to her ), she forgot to apply her eyeliner then did it in front of me in like 5 minutes, maybe less, and I was just standing there with my mouth wide open.

She just chuckled at me and said "Close your mouth, you gonna catch a fly."

It might not look like it's hard, but trust me, I tried and it is.

Eventually I gave up, I was thinking though, that I should probably start again because she won't be around to do my makeup for me forever.

She had a mascara that was making her lashes look a little bit longer and her favorite lipstick which was her favorite color of dark red.

She had her hair curled up at the ends and was wearing a dark blue ceremonial robe and beneath was her favorite white dress with blue flowers on it.

I was also, wearing a dress beneath my robe that was black and reached till the above of my knees.

"All done." Drew said throwing me out of my thoughts.

"Wow," was all I could say as I looked myself in the mirror.

I had an eye shadow that was color between light and dark brown, I also had an eyeliner that was winged at the end, mascara and my favorite light rose lipstick.

My emerald green eyes were shinning as I looked at my dark brown chocolate hair that was braided around my head as the soft waves come out of it.

"I know, I am little miracle worker." She replied with a grin when she looked at my expression.

"Thank you so much Drew. I love it. " I said as I got up and hugged her.

"Can't breathe, can't breathe," she choked out.

"Sorry. " I replied as I stepped back. "Still, thank you."

"No worries. And of course Lexi, that's what sisters are for. To laugh together, share memories and stuff, get all emotional, keep secrets and don't try to choke the life out of one another. " She replied back with a look while I just shrugged.

"You know I'm a people person that loves to hug others." I said.

"And you know I'm not a people person and I don't love to hug others," she pointed out.

I rolled my eyes at her comment.

"Let's go before we get late for our graduation." I said as I grabbed my purse and stuffed some makeup in it, because you never know what would you need. I picked some tissues, a couple of bobby pins, my external battery and earphones.

I took my phone and along with Drew walked out of my room.

She had a black purse ( to match her soul was what she told me ) with her supplies and her phone in other hand.

We were both wearing some flats because we weren't really big fans of wearing high heels unless we really had to.

I grabbed the keys from my counter then locked the door behind me as I left the house with Drew.

"Do you want to walk or do you want me to drive us to school, considering that school is only 30 minutes away? "

"Promise not to kill us?" Drew asked with raised eyebrow.

"Would you like to drive then? " I asked her as I raised both of my eyebrows giving the disability to only rise one.

"Well I would love to, thanks for asking. Someone has to make sure that we get there alive."

"Okay then, let's go."
