George Washington
NOT MY FANART
Yoooooooooo welcome to chapter 2! Time for some WashingDad lmao. Also this kinda picks up from the last chapter just so y'all know : )
This chapter is just a whole load of bullshit but I'm a sucker for WashingDad and HamilSon (If you ship them get tf off my page. They're like 20 something years apart)
Anyways, ENJOYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
John pulled away from the hug, "I think there's someone else who really excited to see you again." He said, a smile creeping onto his face.
Alex looked at him curiously but let John drag him around as they find this person.
Alex stopped and smiled big when he saw who it was.
George Washington.
His former general, president, and Alex's father figure that he never asked for, nor wanted, but got anyways. (awww isn't Alex just such a sweetheart 💀)
George was sitting under a tree (🎶I wanna sit under my own vine, and fig treeeeeeeee🎶) peacefully reading his book.
Alex cleared his throat to get the man's attention.
George met his eyes and smiled. Something he didn't very often when he was alive.
Alex felt a lump forming in his throat. He remembers when he got the letter that George had passed. It was a goodbye letter from Washington himself. And holy hell did it hurt.
As Washington stood up Alex couldn't help it, he charged at him and embraced him tightly.
"I missed you, so much sir." He whispered.
The older man, who was a little bit taken aback from the rare show of affection, smiled fondly at the boy, "I missed you as well s-...Alex. Sorry old habits." He chuckled a bit.
Alexander just nuzzled deeper into the warmth. Remembering how he had screamed until his throat went dry, how he cried until he was sure he had no more tears left to cry after receiving the news of his beloved general's death.
"No no, call me son, please...call me son," Hamilton whispered. One of his biggest regrets was how much he pushed Washington away. "Please, call me son."
Washington's smile widened. "I missed you son."
Alex let out a weak sob. "...Dad..." He whimpered against his chest.
John smiled from the side. He always knew Alexander looked up to Washington. He was just too stubborn to admit it. Though there were multiple times when he let the word 'dad' slip.
George was a father figure to all of them, but it didn't take a genius to figure out that Alexander was always Washington's favorite.
Some of the soldiers had been jealous. Especially because they all knew Alexander didn't even seem to want the General's praise.
But then George had gotten shot, and everyone realized Alexander loved George just as much as George loved him. (Check out my WashingDad and HamilSon oneshot book and look at the chapter "You're gonna get shot" to see that)
Though some were still shocked just how close the two became. George was extremely overprotective of Alex. You hurt his boy...well, you're good as dead.
George pulled away from the hug but kept his hand on the boy's shoulders. "Wow. It's been a while hasn't it."
Alex smiled and nodded in agreement. "Too long." He added.
George hummed in agreement. Happy to finally have his right-hand man by his side again.
"Oh and Alexander."
"Yea?"
"No. More. Duels." He ordered in his best dad tone.
Alexander laughed. "Yes sir!"
Washington ruffled his hair and smiled once again. "Good. I hate seeing you get hurt." He whispered.
Alexander smiled and hugged his father once more. Sighing happily as he felt George's warm, strong arms embrace him.
He'd missed George way more than he was willing to admit. He'd always visit George's grave on the man's birthday. And just talk. And talk....and drink...and maybe cry..but mostly talk.
"I love you, dad," Alexander whispered. The words he wished he'd said all those years ago. Before he'd lost his chance.
"I love you as well, my boy," George replied softly. Stroking Alexander's long locks.
And Alexander smiled. A real smile. He glanced over at John who was standing happily on the side.
Alexander blushed as he realized John heard and saw everything.
John laughed and clapped his best friend on the back. "It's alright, daddy's boy."
Hamilton stuck his tongue at John as Washington chuckled at both of his boys.
History still had its eyes on them. But y'know what, that's ok.
THIS TOOK SO LONG I'M SO SORRY! I already have the next chapter done though so I'll post it tomorrow or the next day.
LOVE U GUYS SMMMMMM
