Izuku's pov
I stood in front of the class, shaking. I had just won the title as class president, y/n, being on a tie with yaoyorozu.

For the tie, the class decided to vote on who'd be the president's assistant, who will get more responsibilities than the vice president.

The class voted from the two, with me, obviously placing my vote on y/n.

In the end, y/n won the title of president's assistant. Soon after that, we were dismissed.

Life

Unfair to others, and generous to some

That's how life works, but unfortunately, pros have it harder.

Citizens look up to the pros, thinking of how 'cool' it would be to save others, but the truth is,

The evil that pros face out there is way more difficult to handle than what people think.

I've learned that the hard way. I helped my parents at the age of 12 and finally met the evil pros face in person.

But what we didn't know was,

I was with my friends in the cafeteria, watching them eat while we converse.

"y/n-chan? Aren't you gonna eat?" asked Ochaco

"oh, Uhm, no. I'm not hungry anyway"

Ochaco and Deku looked at me with concern, while Iida shot me a questioning look.

"has anything happened today,
l/n-chan? When people say they're not hungry, it's usually because they've had a bad day"

I chuckled and gave a warm smile.

"I'm fine. It's really just cause I'm not hungry"

We continued to talk until my phone rang. Everyone's gaze landed on me.

"ah, it's Aizawa-sensei."

The others nodded and continued to talk in hushed voices. I answered the call.

"Hello?"

"Hello, l/n, I need to talk to you about something, come--"

Aizawa-sensei paused, both of us hearing the alarm.

"y/n, come to the faculty room right now. We might need your help"

The call ended, so I ran directly to the faculty room.

Once Aizawa-sensei saw me, he nodded and began to run towards the gate, me following in suit.

I was ordered to stay behind, in case someone immediately charges.

I waited patiently but took a slight peek. It was the press.

I sighed and walked out.

"Eraserhead? Present mic? What's going on" I called, forcefully addressing them by their hero names.

"oh! You're balance! The daughter of yin yang that acts as their sidekick! Are you a teacher too?" asked a reporter, shoving a mic into my face. I sweatdropped.

Does she even know how old I am?

"Uhm, no. I'm far too young to be a teacher here. I'm just a mere student"

"Woah! A semi-pro is studying at Japan's most prestigious hero school?! What do you guys think?"

"it would get the attention of your viewers for sure" replied another reporter.

The female reporter's eyes sparkled and started throwing me questions.

"How long have you been attending U.A? How is it like? Have you enjoyed your time here? Has anyone piqued your interest? Has anyone been courting you? Do you have a boyfriend already?"

My cheeks flushed pink as I shook my head.

"look, I can't answer all your questions--"

"tell me, what do you think of all might being your teacher?"

I sweatdropped once more.

Does she ever shut up?

Finally, the police arrived. I sighed in relief, finally being free of questions.

We are now back in class, Iida being the new class president, and Aizawa-sensei talking about rescue training.

We were said to get to a facility by bus, due to its far distance from the school.

When we got on the bus, I was seated next to Todoroki.

"Todoroki, Todoroki Shoto, correct?" I asked

He nodded, the stoic expression he made had never left his face.

"How did you know..? I believe the first time my name was mentioned, you were in recovery girl's office"

"as you may know, my quirk is balance, but I have another completely unrelated quirk, which is called information. Makes me see basic information about someone, and sometimes, even the problems they have"

He nodded. We sat in awkward silence, which he broke.

"so, mind using your quirk and telling me what you see? I'm quite curious to see if you'd get anything right"

"hmm... Sure! Let's see, Todoroki Shoto, commonly called Todoroki. Quirk, half hot, half cold. Your right side uses ice, and your left side uses fire. You refuse to use your left side?"

He nodded, signifying you were correct.

"age, currently 15. Birthday, 11th of January. Height, 5'9¼. Favorite food, soba, preferably cold. Favorite color, nothing in particular. Has family... Never mind, I don't think you'd be comfortable"

Todoroki's expression darkened, as he just nodded.

"thank you for acknowledging how I'd feel. That's the first time someone's done that for me."

I nodded and gave a warm close eyed smile. My attention was drawn to my classmates who were talking about who's quirks are good for going pro, mine and Todoroki's name included.

I sighed, then Todoroki turned to me.

"since you basically know everything about me, mind telling me a few things about you"

I nodded in agreement.

"my name is l/n y/n, but you can drop the formalities and just call me y/n"

"well, in that case, call me Shoto. You already know a lot about me, and you seem to be nice, so I don't see why not"

I smiled and continued.

"I'm currently 15. My birthday is (insert random birthday, preferably, you're younger than Todoroki and Midoriya, so around August and such. Just a suggestion tho). My current height is 4'6, so you can go shrink so I finally feel tall--"

I heard a light chuckle from Todo-- Shoto, I mean, which is pretty rare. So I continued.

"my favorite food is Katsudon, my favorite color is f/c, aaannddd, that's it"

He nodded and gave me a lopsided smile. As if on cue, Aizawa-sensei told us that we arrived.

We walked in, me walking with Shoto. 13(thirteen) had explained to us a few essentials before we started, but that was when the whole class was about to meet the pure evil they used to be sealed away from.

A portal appeared near the fountain, a man covered in hands stepping out of it, followed by a large group of what seems to be lowlife thugs.

"y/n, your quirk would be a gre--"

"Tomura Shigaraki. Quirk, Decay. His goal is to kill all might, his plan is unknown. He seems to be the leader of their group, which is called the league of villains"

Shoto only nodded, focusing on the large group that had just appeared. Then, beside him appeared the person who seemed to have warped them.

"y/n--"

"Kurogiri. Quirk, warp gate. I don't see anything else besides his goal, which is the same as Shigaraki's."

Shoto nodded once more.

I spotted Aizawa-sensei putting on his goggles, which means...

"Aiza-- Eraserhead! You don't expect us to let you fight them alone!"

"calm down. I'll deal with them. You and thirteen lead the class away from him"

"but Mr. Aizawa! Your quirk is more suited for one on one!" said Deku

"you can't be a pro with only one trick" I said along with Eraserhead.

Aizawa-sensei jumped down towards the villains. I did as told and started bringing the class towards the entrance. Until Kurogiri appeared in front of us.

He introduced themselves as the league of villains, along with explaining their goal, on how 'this would be a wonderful place for the symbol of peace to take his last breath'

Thirteen got ready to activate her quirk but paused because of Kirishima and Bakugo, who jumped in front of Kurogiri.

The two failed to deal any damage to him, and that's when I saw more information.

Kurogiri
Quirk: warp gate
Goal: kill all might
Plan: unknown
Additionally: he covers his whole body in mist, making it seem like he has no physical aspects. There is a metal neck brace under the mist. It is fatal when Kurogiri is hit there

"it is my job to scatter you and shred you to pieces"

As the black mist surrounded us, I slowly walked backward in Bakugo's direction.

"psst. Oi Bakahoe."

"what do you want, dipshit?"

"you see that mist guy, his name is Kurogiri--"

"so?"

"let me finish, damnit. Do you see that metal neck brace thing? When you get out of the zone, jump on Kurogiri and hit that. We'll be distracting them"

Surprisingly, Bakugo nodded in agreement.

I opened my eyes and I was falling into the water. I looked across from me, seeing Deku about to be attacked by a thug with a shark-like quirk.

Luckily, Tsu was able to get to him and save him. I swam up and used my water quirk to push myself out of the water.

I landed on the boat, much to everyone's shock.

"no time to get shook. We need a plan"

I looked around and saw the villains circling the boat.

"They all have water type quirks. They're expecting a fight in the water. If we do fight in the water, they're guaranteed a victory, because only Tsu and I have water-related quirks"

Tsu and Deku nodded, while Mineta cried, not wanting to fight.

"Alright, let's go over our quirks.

Tsu, you're quirk is frog, right?"

Tsu nodded.

"you can do anything a frog can do; jumping high, stretch your tongue about 20 meters, you can wash your stomach, and secrete toxic mucus, which slightly stings. The latter two don't seem to work in the type of situation we're in"

"wow, l/n-chan, you seem to know a lot about my quirk. How is that?"

"my second, or third quirk, which is called information. Allows me to see anyone's information, depending on how I'm related to them, or how mysterious/famous they are"

They all nodded.

"Deku, you have a reinforcement type quirk. Makes you really strong, but the impact causes your bones to break"

"Mineta, your quirk is pop off, right? It allows you to take off those grape-like things in your head, and it sticks to anything besides you since you just bounce off them"

He nodded.

"the duration would depend on how I feel"

We stared at Mineta, trying to form a plan. Until he cried, complaining about how his quirk isn't useful for battle. I sighed, while Deku reassured him.

I continued to think until an idea pops into my head.

"Deku! You're smart right?"

"uh... I think?"

"yes, yes you are, there was no point in me asking that. Back to what I was saying, what happens when a strong force hits the surface of the water?"

"the force spreads out then comes back to the center"

"exactly. You can use your fingers to hit the water with that strong force! And then I can increase the strength of the water. Oh! And before it comes back to the center, Mineta can use his quirk to help round them up! As for Tsu, you'll be carrying Mineta, and jump, after that, wait for Deku to hit the water, then catch him using your tongue"

"but what about you? Kero"

"I'll be fine, I'll swim over to the shore."

"but what if one of them wasn't caught and then got a hold of you?!" asked Deku.

I gave a light chuckle and smiled.

"don't worry, you already know that I can swim hella fast, adding the fact that I can boost my speed underwater using my water quirk"

Deku kept his worried expression, but sighed, nodding in agreement.

The rest of our supposed conversation was cut short by one of the thugs, who sliced the boat in half.

"Deku! Now!"

He jumped off the boat on cue, and did it in what he calls 'Bakugo style'

"Die!" he exclaimed, hitting the water with his quirk.

Tsu jumped while I increased the speed and strength of what seemed like the whirlpool Deku had created.

When the force finally returned to the center, I jumped off the boat and began swimming at a speed that Deku would refer to as, 'inhuman'. Sure, I swam pretty fast, but that was all thanks to practice AND my quirk.

I increased my speed using my water quirk, and quickly arrived at the shore, popping up next to Deku.

From there, we saw Aizawa-sensei being attacked by what Tomura calls 'nomu'.

'we have to help him, but getting involved might make the situation worse'

"Eraserhead. Should I step in?" I asked, using my telepathy quirk.

"it's too dangerous--"

He was cut off by the nomu twisting his elbow.

"fine. But be careful"

I jumped out of the water and used my wind quirk to dash towards Aizawa-sensei. I used embezzlement and kicked it out of the way. I knocked it back even more by using my wind quirk.

I crouched next to Aizawa-sensei and placed my hand on his head. I slowly started to heal him, but nomu knocked me back.

"damn it. I could've sworn I erased his quirk, so that means that's his natural strength"

The strength of the hit knocked me back quite far, to the point I was in shigaraki's hands. His right hand grabbed my neck, while the left one was wrapped around my waist.

"well, well, well. If it isn't balance... I assume you already know what my quirk is?"

I didn't reply, but instead, growled. He chuckled in response.

"if I place one more finger on your neck, you know what's about to happen, so you better listen up"

I remained quiet. He began talking about his goal, which I ignored. I unnoticeably returned the nomu's quirk and erased shigaraki's.

I used my elbow to hit his stomach, which made his grip on me tighten. He placed his index finger on my neck, thinking it would kill me. I could feel him smile.

"you smart little girl. Quite a bold move, don't you think?"

He applied pressure onto my neck, in hopes of making me lose focus. I didn't pay any mind to the matter, but I knew that it would eventually be hard for me to breathe, which should cause me to lose focus and return his quirk WITH his hand ALREADY on my neck.

I had a few options, but only one of them wasn't risky. I used my wind quirk, strengthening the wind and gathering a bit of it in the palm of my hands. Seconds later, I harshly slammed my palm into his stomach, knocking him away from me.

I inhaled sharply, able to breathe properly once more. I erased the Nomu's quirk again, then froze him. I used my quirk to push him away from Aizawa-sensei.

I looked back at shigaraki and erased his quirk too, then used my nature quirk to trap him with roots.

I faced kurogiri and erased his quirk, then froze him, just like what I did to the Nomu.

Finally, I ran towards Aizawa-sensei and placed my hand on his head. I healed his face first, so his eyesight wouldn't be affected.

Although I finished healing his face, I grew tired. Eventually, I noticed my nose started to bleed.

'I'm overusing my quirk... Too many quirks at the same time are wearing me out...'

I stopped healing Aizawa-sensei and deactivated embezzlement. Because of that, Shigaraki was able to decay the roots, the Nomu was able to break out of the ice, and Kurogiri was somehow able to warp out of the ice.

I fell to the floor, exhausted. I knew well that Shigaraki and the Nomu were charging directly at me, but there was no point, I was too worn out to fight.

Just before they reached me, all might arrived, practically saving me. All the villains brought their attention to him, giving me time to escape. I used my wind quirk and gently placed Aizawa-sensei near the entrance, just beside thirteen.

Before I could make a run for it, the Nomu grabbed me. Before it could hurt me in any way, all might had already saved me.

"no... Father was wrong... He's still so fast!"

He continued to whine, while all might put me down.

"young l/n, I'd like to thank you for ensuring Eraserhead's safety before yours. Now, get somewhere safe"

I frowned and stood my ground.

"But I'm fine! I can help you fight!"

"no! I can see it in your eyes! You're already tired, and I can tell you held your own for a long time already!"

He looked around and spotted Deku.

"young Midoriya! Get young l/n out of here"

Deku ran towards me and tried pulling me away from the scene. Considering his body was more built than mine, he successfully pulled me away, even just a little bit.

"y/n! Please! Just listen! I know you're already tired! I saw everything! Remember?!"

I stopped struggling and looked back at him, an angry expression evident on my face. My expression softened when I looked at him. He was looking at me with pleading eyes, looking like he was about to cry.

"why... Why are you this worried?"

"cause I care about you goddamnit! Can't you see?! I'm trying to help you! You've already overused your quirk!"

I stopped resisting, and let him pull me away. I had to watch in anxiousness as all might fought with the Nomu. Before we could get to the entrance, Deku stopped.

"Asui. Take y/n back to the entrance."

"o-okay. Kero"

Deku started running towards where all might was. My eyes widened realizing what he was gonna do.

"Tsu! Let me go! I need to help them!"

"but Midoriya-Kun said--"

"it's fine! I can handle myself"

She gave me a sad expression, but then let go. I ran the same direction Deku did. He was already at the bottom, so I used my wind quirk to speed things up.

There I was, sitting on the ground, my nose bleeding and my current wounds bleeding even more. I was exhausted for pushing my quirk, but thankfully, Shoto arrived and froze the Nomu. I shakily stood up, applying pressure on the wound Shigaraki created.

Shigaraki was able to get a good grip on me. He was threatening Deku, that if he'd step any closer, he would disintegrate my entire being. While Deku was struggling to get to me, Shigaraki slowly disintegrated my forearm's skin, creating a wound that currently reaches up to my elbow, and reached as low as my wrist.

It didn't disintegrate too deep. Unlike how he disintegrated Aizawa-sensei's skin, mine didn't show my bare flesh, but it had caused me to bleed.

I used telepathy to help Deku beat Shigaraki. I told him I used one of my quirks to either regulate the power of his quirk or make it so that he has control over 100% for a short amount of time. He chose the latter option, so I told him when my quirk was activated.

He was able to quickly dash behind Shigaraki and punch him away from me. He knew I was already weakened, so he ran over to me, picked me up bridal style, and gently put me down when we were at a safe distance.

He was about to chargeback, but Shoto arrived, bringing me to our current situation.

Shigaraki had ordered the Nomu to break free, and so he did. His limbs fell off, but he slowly regenerated them.

"what the hell? I thought this guy's quirk was shock absorption"

"But I didn't say that was his only quirk"

Shigaraki kept rambling on about Nomu's quirks, leaving me with an idea. I used my telepathy to tell all might.

"all might, I can use embezzlement on him, then you can throw a bunch of aimed punches at him, which should be able to knock him back"

All might sneakily gave me a thumbs up. But before we could commence our plan,

"Nomu, get our warp portal back"

I reacted quickly and dashed to where the Nomu was heading. I pushed Bakugo out of the way and used my shield to minimize the damage it would do to me. Surprisingly, I made a shield strong enough to absorb all the damage the Nomu threw at me.

"Woah! Kacchan, you dodged that?"

"no, I didn't you nerd"

"then... Does that mean"

Izuku's pov
I looked in front of me to see all might was still there, but wore a seemingly shocked expression.

'then... Who could..? '

My eyes widened at the sight. The smoke cleared and I was able to see who pushed kacchan out of the way. There, stood y/n, who was standing strong, despite all her injuries. In front of her, was her shield, which she probably used to protect herself.

"didn't you teach this thing to hold back?!"

"I was only trying to save a friend!"

Her eyes glowed red, signaling that she had erased someone's quirk. It appeared to be the Nomu's quirk she had erased since Nomu was knocked back when y/n used her wind quirk.

As it was knocked over to all might, y/n had shouted in his direction.

"all might! Now!"

All might threw a series of pushes, to which the Nomu retaliated by sending punches too. A cloud of smoke formed because of the strength and speed of each punch.

A few seconds later, we witnessed the Nomu fly away, seemingly being hit by an incredibly strong punch from all might.

I noticed how much help y/n did, especially since Nomu's quirk was shock absorption. I averted my gaze to y/n, whose eyes returned to its normal black and white. She seemed really worn down at this point, which was reasonable since she pushed her limits.

Even with the mask on, we can all tell that Shigaraki was frightened by the fact that all might was able to beat Nomu.

All might began speaking to him, about how he planned to kill him. Everything all might said had seemed to trigger something inside Shigaraki, causing him to attack.

I reacted quickly and dashed towards all might's direction. I aimed a punch at Kurogiri, my legs were already broken. I expected to be able to hit him, but that's when Shigaraki's hand pushed through the smoke and made it near to my face.

Just before he could touch me, a bullet went through his hand.

Y/n walked over to all might and I, a tired expression written on her face.

"hey, let me help you guys with that"

She began slowly healing all might.

"so, I may not have been able to heal everything. I only minimized the damage. The wound is closed, but it still might bleed, so best to still go to recovery girl"

Then, she approached me. She was able to completely heal my broken legs.

"how come you were able to fully heal me?"

"cause your injury is less complicated than all might's--"

I saw her stumble a bit. I immediately got up, ready to help her out. She fell forwards, but I caught her immediately. I then heard all might sigh.

"poor young l/n pushed her limits and overused her quirk..."

I saw all might slowly getting up, still clutching his wound.

"come, young Midoriya. Carry young l/n and bring her to recovery girl"

I nodded and slowly picked her up bridal style.

I slowly started to walk with all might towards recovery girl. My expression saddened when I looked at y/n. She looked so peaceful, but so conflicted at the same time. Her face still remained beautiful, even with all her wounds.

Her figure was small and she was very light, so I had no problem carrying her. In fact, it was one of my favorite things to do.

Back in middle school, even though I had a thin body, I was still able to easily carry y/n, which was one of my favorite forms of teasing her.

We soon arrived at recovery girl's office, where recovery girl would heal us.

Y/n's pov
I awoke in recovery girl's office, where I saw a mess of green beside me. I smiled, already knowing who it was. It was my dear childhood friend.

I gently ran my hand through his hair, hinting him that I'm awake. His head jolted up, and when his eyes met mine, they were filled with tears.

"y/n-chan! You're all right! I was so worried..."

I gave a low chuckle, my voice strained.

"I can't believe it, I couldn't save you... My promise... I--"

"what are you talking about? You already saved me from Shigaraki!"

"that was barely saving you."

I got startled by his tone. He's never sounded so serious before.

"if it weren't for your Quirk, I would've broken my bones trying to save you, which would mean we'd be stuck in that fatal situation, especially since I wouldn't be able to move"

I remained silent, knowing he was right. He sighed.

"one day... One day, when I finally have full control over my quirk, I'll save you! Especially now that I'm a hero in training!"

I could only smile at his enthusiasm. I had a feeling his promise would lead to his demise, but I can't be certain, so I'll tell him when the time is right.
