Shadow's POV
I put Y/N on the couch and sat on the floor waiting for her to wake up, it had already been half an hour and she still wasn't awake. I soon heard a low groan as I noticed Y/N slowly open her eyes as she sat up "ow" she groaned as I ran into the kitchen to grab an ice pack. While she was out I was able to stop the bleeding and did as much as I could to fix her injury. "Here hold still" I said as I sat next to Y/N and placed the ice pack on her head, she winced a bit as I tried to be gentle with her. "S-Sorry" I said hoping that I didn't hurt her more "it's okay don't worry about it" she replied as I sighed in relief. I soon noticed her expression soon change as she looked around the room "well guess I should get to cleaning" she said but as she attempted to stand I sat her back down and soon ran upstairs to her to grab a pillow and blanket but when I came back down she was trying to clean so I placed her on the couch once again and put her pillow under her head "Shadow what are you doing?" She asked as I covered her with the blanket "You are staying here while I clean." I ordered as she looked at me wide eyed as if she was the maid of the house "But I-" "No buts your resting and that's final" I said as I walked into the kitchen and cleaned up all the broken dishes and glasses.

Y/N's POV
You were a bit agitated that Shadow forced you to rest here but at the same time, you did need it after your dad started abusing you to the point of no end so you took this as an advantage as you turned over to face the TV which surprisingly was still intact as you switched on the TV Sonic X was the first thing to come on as you soon panicked and quickly tried to change it before Shadow could hear anything. As you clicked through channels you came across the movie Teen Beach 2 you were a bit interested as a musical came into play.

As the music played you were instantly into it as you soon stood up and attempted some of the dance moves you were seeing in the movie. As you continued to dance around you didn't notice a certain hedgehog looking at you in fascination of your dance moves, as you looked over you noticed the striped hedgehog and immediately stopped what you were doing as he glanced over at the television and adjusted his white gloves.

"You honestly call that dancing" he said as he glanced over the TV and danced to the song exactly as it was shown, you took a note of this as you smirked at the ebony hedgehog and danced along to the song with him. You've never seen it before but you noticed an actual smile on Shadow's face causing you to smile too. The two of you continued to dance to the song but you didn't really attempt any flips but Shadow was on point with the moves as if he was playing Just Dance it was incredible. As you and Shadow danced you actually you tripped causing you to fall back you closed your eyes tight as you waited for impact but as you slowly opened your eyes you looked up to see that Shadow had caught you with a hand on your waist and another behind your head. You noticed his muzzle slowly turn a shade of pink as his nose touched yours, you two were so close to each other lips just inches apart.

You soon diverted your eyes from Shadow's crimson ones as you stood up and walked into the kitchen without another word. You walked towards the sink and started working on dishes as you soon looked over the to do list your father always has for you.

•Make dinner for dad

Sure it was a small list but a lot of effort had to be put into each and every chore 'I can't believe this this is-' You were soon snapped out of your thoughts as you heard the stove turn on "huh?" You said as you looked over to see Shadow in an apron with ingredients ready to cook.

You giggled a bit seeing the Ultimate Lifeform wearing a pink apron but who are you to judge. Shadow glanced over at you as you dried your hands and started putting the dishes away, once you finished Shadow looked over at you as he put the food in the oven to use less heat than the actual stove itself (I have no idea how to cook so yeah let me know if that makes sense). You looked over at Shadow fascinated that he was actually able to cook.

It had been about half an hour when you suddenly heard the oven beep. You and Shadow walked into the kitchen as you placed on a pair of oven mitts and opened the oven soon pulling out the casserole Shadow prepared "Wow Shadow this looks great, I'm sure father will love your cooking." You said but before you could put it back Shadow smacked your hand to stop you "It's not for your dad" he said as you looked at Shadow a bit puzzled. "Well if it isn't for my dad than who's it for?" You asked as Shadow face palmed "It's for you and I who else would it be for" Shadow explained as you shook your hands in front of you "But father said-" "Who gives a damn what he said you need to eat Y/N" Shadow said as he pulled a chair out for you to sit down. You sighed and took a seat as Shadow pushed your chair back into the table but before you could say anything Shadow placed a plate of casserole in front of you as he sat across from you.

Shadow had already started eating but you were hesitant, your father hardly ever let you eat let alone sit at the table but that wasn't the only thing,you've been trying to starve yourself for weeks just so he wouldn't have to complain about you eating as much. Shadow soon looked at you and noticed that you weren't eating he sighed and pulled a chair up next to you "Here" he said as he grabbed your plate and attempted to get you to eat "Sorry, Shadow but I'm not really- HM!" Shadow shoved some casserole into your mouth but as you ate it, it wasn't that bad it tasted pretty good but as you finished you immediately ran up to the bathroom and threw up.

Shadow grew concerned as he followed you upstairs into the bathroom as he moved the hair from your face "Y/N I'm so sorry I didn't know that you'd get sick" he apologized as Shadow helped you to your bed "Thanks Shadow, but it wasn't your fault." You said as he Shadow looked at you curiously "What are you talking about?" He asked your E/C widened as you suddenly realized what you had said 'oh no'
