It seems like a normal time for Nezuko Kamado to go out of her humble wooden house to sell out charcoal for travelers. 

It wasn't very easy for her since she has to maintain to keep her family warmth and comfort, and probably surving the harsh winter ahead of them. 

As she was about to leave, her mother, Kie Kamado notices her daughter's face was covered in scoot from the chorale.

"Nezuko! Sweetie, you have charcoal all over your face. It's seems not good for you to travel that way. " Kie said, as she wipes the black soot that was on her daughter's cheek. 

"Mom, I can handle it. It seems going to be a harsh winter, don't you think?" She asks, looking at the white snowflakes that was falling from the clouds. 

Her mother was concerned, "Are you sure about doing all of this, Nezuko? It seems like it would be a total burden on you." 

She waves at her mother's concern, "Mom, It'll be fine, besides, we needed the money to save the house and ourselves. Dad would've done the same thing if he was here." 

Nezuko thought about her fragile father, Tanjuro Kamado. It was kind of hard for her to adjust that he passed away when she was little, but she knew that he was kind, gentle man who always taught her to be humble towards others.

"Well, I must be going." She told her mother, but she felt a tug on her haori as she notices it was her little brother and sister. 

"Nezuko! Do you have to go to the village? I want to go!" Her sister, Hanako Kamado whines at her older sister. 

"Yeah, it's not fair!" Her brother, Shigeru Kamado concurred with her. Nezuko smiles at them, as much she cares at the siblings' concern and desires of helping her. 

"Shigeru, Hanako. I'm glad that you wanted to come along with me, but you must stay here with mom, Tanjiro , Takeo and Rokuta. 

They needed you and I promise that I'll give you guys plenty of good treats if you behave and when I return back to the village. Ok?"

Both of the siblings sighed as if they was no point of winning the conversation, "Fine, you win, Nezuko." 

She smiles as she notices Takeo holding an axe, as he if he was chopping wood. "You're not having some trouble with cutting the woods, Takeo?"

Takeo said, blushing, "N-No! I don't! Geez, I was hoping that you would be helping me chop of the wood together, as older sibling would be." 

Nezuko chuckled at him as she russle her brother's hair, "Awe, don't be so grouchy. I will do it next time." 

Takeo said, "Hm! You better! Any sister of mine should be able to defend anyone, right?"

She chuckled, "Yeah, yeah. I know." 

The family waves goodbye at the girl who was leaving the house. 

As she was leaving, her brother, Tanjro was calling her. "Nezuko! " 

She walks towards her brother who was carrying Rokuta . "Oh, hey, Tanjro. Is Rokuta asleep already?" 

The boy chuckled, "Yeah, he did. I told him it was time for his nap, so he wouldn't see you leave. He'll be extremely worried about since you and him are close and he barely remembers about Father's passing. " 

Nezuko smiles at Rokuta's gentle and peacefully smile, as she turns to her brother, "Tanjro, can I count on you of watching over Mom and our family while I'm gone?"

The boy nods, "Of course you can count on me! We're family, aren't we?"

The siblings were silent for a moment, but then they chuckled at what Tanjro said. 

The boy looked at the distance of the village, as he said, "You should get going before it begins to go dark. " 

The girl nods at her brother's request and concern as she turns towards the village as she waves Tanjro goodbye, as if things were normal. 

But on that fateful day, their world that they have known their whole lives will change forever.

AN: 

This is an alternative Universe storyline, as it will be my version of the anime if Nezkuo and Tanjiro's roles were reversed as she is the Demon Slayer while Tanjiro is the Demon .
