Nezuko and Tanjiro made a pit stop. She notices a cave nearby , so Tanjiro wouldn't be in the sunlight. 

"Tanjiro, I'm going to be right back. So stay here, ok?" She said to the demon boy as she saw a farm not far from where she place her brother in hiding. 

"Um, excuse me. Do you have any basket I can use? I'm going on a trip and it's going to be long." She asks the farmer.

"Sure, you can have it, it's all yours." The farmer said, as she smiles as she places some of her money that she had received from selling charcoal. 

"Here, this would be enough to pay for the basket. I don't need the money ." She said to the farmer as the farmer tries to deny the generous offer. 

"No, I don't need the money. " The farmer said, but the girl insisted as she places the money she offered to the farmer as she races back to Tanjiro with the basket at tow. 

She peeks through the cave, wondering where her brother could've gone off to. 

"Tanjiro? " She called out to the demon boy. She thought to herself, "I could've sworn he would be here. It's not like him to disappear like this. " 

Tanjiro appears out of a hole he must've built himself. Nezuko was surprise and totally in awe of her brother, as she sweats of the situation. 

"My big brother is a mole, that's something I never seen before. " She thought, as she looks at the demon boy.

Tanjiro makes a frown on his face, as Nezuko thought, "And with that, he's frowning. It looks like he really wants to avoid the sunlight as much as possible, considering he is a demon after all." 

Nezuko said to her brother, "Can you hold on just a little longer, bro?" 

She makes the bamboo basket to carry her demon brother. She shows it to him, as she asks, "Tanjiro? Can you climb yourself into this? 

I want to continue on traveling during the day, I know you wouldn't like it but at least with this, I will carry you without a problem. " 

Tanjiro tries to go into the basket but he was too big for it. Nezuko thought as she chuckles at the boy, "Tanjiro really has grown a bit since then. He used to be -" Then she remembers how she found out that he has the ability to shrink down when Giyu first confront them. 

"Tanjiro? I think I have an idea . How about you use your ability to shrink down? You know to be smaller? Give that a try." Nezuko suggested to the demon, as Tanjiro went down towards the basket and manages to sit straight up inside the basket. 

Tanjiro smiles at his younger sister as she was impressed of how quickly he had understood her question. She pats his head, as she said, "Well, that wasn't too hard, isn't big bro? At least you'll be more comfortable in there." 

She carries the basket as she asked for directions to find the person that Giyu had mention before. 

"Mt. Sagirli? You might have to go towards over the mountain, but um... the sun is going to set soon, are you capable to go there with all of that luggage on your back?" 

Nezuko reassures the woman who gave her Tanjiro's basket, "I'll be fine. Thanks for getting me directions of how to find Mt. Sagirli. It's a big help to me." 

At night, the siblings were walking together as they spotted a temple window being lit up. "Now that's a temple. It appears that someone must be home at some point. Let's investigate together and make sure that it-" Nezuko said, but stopped as she smells the air. The feeling she had was nothing new to her. 

"I smell blood!"  She said, "The mountain pass is steep, and somebody must've been hurt!" 

As she opens the door, she yelled, "Are you all right?" But what she saw, was bodies, covered in blood, as a demon was enjoying the meal.

He said, "What the hell you think you are? This is my territory. If you want to break into my territory, I'll make you pay, girl." 

Nezuko was in shock, as she thought in her mind, "It's a man-eating demon! What shall I do now?"

Tanjiro was staring at the dead bodies as his facial expression changes. 

The demon stands up, "Something is quite different, are you both humans?" 

Nezuko didn't know how to reply to the demon. 

The demon head straightforward towards Nezuko, as he attacks her, and she quickly uses the hacket axe she still have to cut the demon.

The blood was dripping out of the demon, as he touches the neck, as he was totally impressed of the attack as if that was something that he never seen before.

"Using a hacket axe as your only weapon? That's quite interesting. Not bad at a first attempt against me." He said, "But your effort would be a waste since it will be healed in no time." 

Suddenly, the blood stopped bleeding, just like the demon said it would be.

"See? I told you that it stopped." He sneered. 

Nezuko gasps at the sight, as she was unsure what to do now. 

Tanjiro, however was still looking at the dead bodies, as his thirst was hungry, as the drooling was coming out of the bamboo gag.

The demon jumps in top of Nezuko, as the demon was trying to choke the girl.

Nezuko thought in her mind, "He's incredibly fast, I didn't have any time to react! And in top of that , he's incredibly strong too!" 

The demon laughs, "You can't escape from me this time! I'm going to snap your neck!" 

Tanjiro stares for a moment, but then, he did something unexpected that neither the demon or Nezuko wouldn't suspect. 

He ran towards the demon, and knock off his head from his body! 

Nezuko was shocked, "Tanjiro! Did you just seriously killed him?!? 

The body was heading towards her , but Tanjiro quickly knock his body across the field, as Nezuko thought, "Wait, how is that possible that his body can move without his head attached?!? That seems odd to me." 

The demon yelled, "Hey! You little brat, one of you is a demon aren't you? It's no wonder that you gave me such a weird vibe when we saw each other! 

What is a human teaming up with a demon?!? " 

Nezuko thought in her mind, "He's talking! Ok, I'm seriously freaking out here, now!" 

The body of the demon head straight towards the demon boy, as it was giving him serious punches. 

Nezuko yelled, "Stop it! Leave him alone, you creep!" 

The demon head went towards the girl, as she uses the axe to block the attack, as she turns around to see her brother unable to defend himself. 

"Tanjiro!" She yells at the demon boy, afraid of his safety. 

Nezuko looks at the demon, now felt totally pissed off, "The nerve of this guy! Using his arms as a defensive side, it's getting on my nerves!

I have to save Tanjiro no matter what it takes!" 

"Let go of me, you idiot!" She yells at the demon, using her head to knock him off of her. 

The demon thought in shock, "The girl, her head... it's hard as a rock! " 

Nezuko seize the opportunity as grabs the axe and threw it as much energy she has left as it threw the demon to the tree where he stayed.

"All right! It actually works! Phew , I'm glad that is over with. Now, I have to find Tanjiro." She said.

The girl ran through the forest in search of her demon older brother. "Tanjiro! C'mon, respond to me! Where are you?" She asks as loud she could, hoping that her brother would be all right.

The demon was pushing the demon boy as Nezuko finally spots them. 

"Hey, knock it off! Get off of my brother!" She said, tackling the body.

She was at the cliffside as she was about to fall into the darkness, she felt a secure tug on her hakoi as Tanjiro saves her from falling. 

Nezuko felt totally relieved that her older brother had caught her fall. 

She looks up at the boy as she said to the demon, "Thanks a lot for saving me , Tanjiro. Talk about a close call." 

They head back to where the enemy demon was. Nezuko took out a knife, "I wonder.. is there any other demons out there , exactly like the one that Tanjiro and I just fought together?

This scent is different. It's not the same one that I sensed when I arrived back to the house. 

But I have to finish this demon, even though it's not the one who murdered my family, or else more innocent people would suffer the same consequences I've felt . 

So... I have to do this! It's the only way!" 

Tanjiro just stood there, watching his younger sister. 

Nezuko was scared, as she thought in her mind, "Do it! " 

She felt a hand touch on her shoulder, a man, wearing a red mask had appeared behind her, as if he was watching her the entire time.

The man said to her, "You can't actually finish him off with that knife of yours." 

Nezuko was so stunned by his sudden appearance, as she thought, "No way! I didn't hear his footsteps! Was he watching me all that time without me noticing?" 

She asks nervously, "H-How should I finish this demon? You have to tell me!" 

He replied harshly, "You don't have to ask me, you idiot! Have you thought how to do it yourself?"

Nezuko thought, "If the stabbing wouldn't work out, then.. I should crush his head instead!" 

Nezuko grabs a rock nearby as she stares at the demon to examine it. "To make sure I've crush his head completely, I have to smash his head with this rock many times as I possibly could.

But he'll suffer without a doubt. 

Is there anyway I could that with a single blow?"

The man can sense her emotions completely. 

"She's not going to cut it. She is too humble and kind to make any decisions . She's facing a demon for the first time, and still, she shares emphany for the demon itself, despite of how dangerous she was in." He thought,

"Giyu, is this the person you wanted me to trained so badly?" 

The demon said, "I'll kill you, I swear it! I'll devour you if it's the last thing I'll do!" 

Nezuko looked up as she thought, "I waited too long to decide! The sun's coming up now!" 

Right in that moment, the sun ray appears at the demon as it burns the demon to death, as Nezuko looked completely terrified of what happened as she drops the rock in disbelief. 

"He got burned away with that much sunlight?!? It's no wonder how Tanjiro can shrink down to his size." 

Suddenly , she remembers her demon brother immediately. 

"Oh crap. Tanjiro!" She said, as she looks for him as to her relief , he did hide himself just in the nick of time.

"Oh, Tanjiro, what a relief. Oh, wait a second. Where did that man ran off to?" 

The man was praying as Nezuko found him. 

Nezuko thought , "Amazing. He must've buried the people who got killed earlier from that demon. " 

She walks up to the man as she said, "Um.. " 

The man replied, introducing himself, "I'm Sakonji Urokodaki. It comes to my attention that you must be the one that Giyu has sent , aren't you not?"

Nezuko replied as she was amazed that she has found Sakonji Urokodaki so suddenly, "Yes, Giyu did sent me. I'm Nezuko Kamado, sir!"

Sakonji looks at the girl with a serious question, "Nezuko, can I ask you a question? What would you do if your older brother eats a human?"

He walks up to her as she got slapped from him for being stupid.

"You're too slow of making your own decisions! You've failed to kill that demon before daybreak!  

Do you know why you didn't answer my question right away when I asked you? It's because your resolve was too weak at that stake! 

There was two ways you can do if your brother devours a human, Kill your own brother or kill yourself!

That is what happens when you travel with a brother who became a demon! But .. that must not happen no matter what, do you understand?

And it's best to not forget it.

Your brother, taking a life of an innocent , that must not happen, ever!" 

"Yes, I do understand completely what you said, Mr. Sakonji ." 

He said, turning away, "All right, I'm going to test you if you can be able to become a member of the Demon Slayer Crops. 

Carry your brother and follow my lead." 

Nezuko ran as fast she can, as she thought, "Whoa, he's amazing! Is this how far he can go? Tanjiro, I know it's overbearing , but hang in there." 

Nezuko thought back when Tanjiro was trying to fix her haoki, "Tanjiro, you really don't have to try to fix it. I can fix it." 

Tanjiro smiles at his younger sister, "Nezuko, it's all right, besides, you done so much for me, let me do something for a change. Just be patient, ok?"

Nezuko thought, "Tanjiro, you've been with me all this time, even though you became a demon. I swear that I'll do everything in my power to turn you back into a human , so you can keep supporting me." 

They made it to the house as she puts Tanjiro to rest. "Am I able to pass the test?"

"No. The test begins now . We're going to climb up the mountain." 

"You're kidding! But what about Tanjiro? Would he be all right here?" She asks nervously. 

"He'll be fine. I'll take care of him." The master replies . 

The man stops as he said, "From now on, you will have to climb down the mountain back to the house on your own. 

I'll be waiting for you until daybreak." 

"Wait a second!" Nezuko yells but the mist covers her master and was whisked away.

She walks forward, but then steps into a trap! 

"Traps? Oh, I get it. This was the test , isn't? Avoiding all these traps isn't going to be an easy task for sure." She said, looking around.

Nezuko said, "I have to get back to Tanjiro no matter what it takes! Ok, Focus on your breathing. Calm yourself, and sniff out the traps." 

Sakonji was helping covering Tanjiro into bed as he notices Nezuko has successfully make it to the house, but with a slight few injuries . 

"I'm back, Mr. Sakonji. " She said but then she fell to sleep , due from being exhausted from the test. 

The man thought back when he got the letter of Giyu.

"Forgive me , Master Sakonji . I have some urgent errand for you. I'm sending a girl to be under your care . Her family was slaughtered by a demon, and somehow her older brother has been transformed into one.

The girl was incredibly amazing, as she thought out a deceive strategy against me. I want you to train her to become a Demon Slayer. 

I hope that she wouldn't be a burden to you.
