Years later Mokuro was 7 and spends most of his time with books. He had a few bandages since he had bruises around his arms and legs. He got them from other monsters but never told his parents. The reason because he was bullied was because he was half human and monster. He usually didn't make friends easily since he wasn't completely a monster. He only had one friend who was his cousin and she was just like him half human and monster. They could only turn into monsters at night. Mokuro was with his mother Mei reading a book. He loved books especially reading with her mother. He was sitting on her lap as the two of them spend time together reading. Mokuro still had something in mind...why did they keep him? Shouldn't they just left him when his real mother died? Mokuro sighed sadly and Mei noticed his saddness
"What's wrong?" Mei asked as she closed her book
"H-huh? Oh it's nothing hehe" Mokuro said smiling nervously
"Don't lie to me...I know something is wrong" Mei said
"W-well...um it's noth-" Suddenly they heard howls
"Mama is back!" Mokuro said as he jumped from Mei's lap
"Come mommy! Let's see mama!" Mokuro said. Mei just sighed and stood up walking up to the front door. Yuzu then ran back to her place where her wife and son we're waiting
"Mama!" Mokuro said as he jumped into his mother's arms
"Hey Mokuro. How's my boy?" Yuzu asked
"I'm doing great!" Mokuro said with a smile. Yuzu carried Mokuro and walked up to Me I and gave where a soft kiss.
"So how was your hunt?" Mei asked
"It was easy well Matsuri got injured by the hunters" Yuzu said
"Human hunters?" Mokuro asked
"Yes" Yuzu said
"Is Auntie gonna be okay?" Mokuro asked
"Yeah it's not a major injury just a small one" Yuzu said. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Mokuro got up and opened the door
"Yuzucchi! Have you seen Hasura!" Harumin said
"Huh? No I haven't seen Hasura. Mei have you seen her?" Yuzu asked
"No" Mei replied
"Well where was the last time you saw her?" Yuzu asked
"She was outside but suddenly ran away" Matsuri said
"Why would she run away?" Yuzu asked. Mokuro's eyes widen and ran outside
"Mokuro where are you going?!" Yuzu exclaimed. Mokuro just ignored her mother and ran to the forest
Hasura...please be okay
Mokuro then found the place where they were usually bullied and growled.
"Leave my cousin alone!" Mokuro shouted and shoved the vampire girl who was hurting Hasura. Hasura was just 6 and she was small and weak
"M-mokuro..." Hasura sobbed as she was bleeding from her arms and legs
"Stupid humans!" The girl said and suddenly Mokuro got hit by her brother
"You two don't belong here. Go back where you came from you assholes" The vampire boy said.
"L-leave us al-alone..." Mokuro groaned in pain and stood up weakly
"Or what? You gonna do something about it" The boy said and kicked his side. Mokuro fell and clenched his side tightly and sobbed
"Crybaby..." The girl said and grabbed Hasura by her hair
"You know what to do...just say that we saved you two from humans" The girl said.
"H-hasura...call your mother..." Mokuro said. Hasura clenched her fists tightly and whimpered
"Are you gonna listen to him? You gonna call mommy for help...you do know what happens if you do" The girl said as she placed her hand on Hasura's throat
"Mokuro!"
"Hasura!"
They heard their parents cry out
"Shit we need to leave sis" The boy said but Mokuro tackled him
"Leave my cousin alone!" Mokuro growled and punched the boy several times.
"Mama!" Hasura cried out then the girl punched her in the gut making her cough blood out.
"Get your hands off my son!" A vampire said grabbing Mokuro
"Hey! Let me go! He was hurting my cousin" Mokuro said
"Shut up you little bastard!" The vampire said
"What's going on here!?" Yuzu exclaimed
"Hasura!" Harumin and Matsuri exclaimed and ran up to their injured daughter
"Mokuro explain what happened?" Mei asked. Mokuro just looked up at his mother and sighed.

After the situation Mei was talking to the parent who hurt her son and Hasura
"Our kids didn't do anything to them!" The vampire exclaimed
"Your kids are not welcomed here. They should treat everyone with respect" Mei said
"But they didn't do anything! I bet those humans are just lying!" The vampire said
"Don't call them humans...." Mei said glaring at the vampire
"It's not our fault. Those kids didn't say anything in the first place" The vampire said
"That's because your kids threaten them" Mei replied
"He's not even your so-"
"That's it! Out! Your kids will not attend the Vampire Academy! They are expelled!" Mei said sternly. She hated it when some monsters said that Mokuro wasn't her son
"No please! You can't do this to them!" The vampire said
"She said leave" Yuzu said and guided the vampire and her kids out the door. The kids turned around to glare at the half monsters. Hasura just looked away while Mokuro glared at them back. Yuzu sighed and shut the door then walked back to the kids who were sitting in the couch.
"When did this started?" Yuzu asked
"W-well we wanted to play with other kids but...uh..." Mokuro paused and turned over to Hasura
"We saw them bully other kids and we tried to stop them but...we were replaced by them
So we were their punching toys..." Hasura explained
"I wish you just told us sooner so you two wouldn't be suffering..." Yuzu said
"Why..." Hasura mumbled while looking down
"Huh? What is it Hasura?" Harumin asked
"Why...did you take us in? I mean...we're not your kids or anything..." Hasura said. Harumin teared up and wrapped her arms around Hasura and hugged her carefully since she had bandages
"Please don't say that...you are our daughter and belong here with us" Harumin said as tears rolled down her cheeks. Matsuri walked up to them and Harumin pulled her into the family hug. Hasura's eyes widen and she could feel her parents warmth and...love. She teared up and hugged her parents back. Mokuro walked up to Mei and Yuzu with his head down. Suddenly he felt warmth from both his parents. Mokuro smiled and closed his eyes hugging his parents back. He had heard stories about his real father who used to hurt the poor monsters. He was glad he had a family that loved him and cared about him.
"Hey I'll prepare dinner for all of us" Yuzu said
"Hey Yuzucchi I'll help you prepare dinner" Harumin said. Mokuro and Hasura both looked at each other and smiled.
"Hehe...we are very lucky to have monster parents" Mokuro said
"Yeah...it's nice to know that someone finally cares about you" Hasura said. As the sun was setting the kids looked out the window as their ears, tail, fangs, and wings appeared.
"Kids go wash your hands. Dinner is ready" Yuzu said
"Yes mama"
"Okay auntie"
The kids ran to the bathroom washing their hands and arrived at the table.

After their family dinner Mokuro finished brushing his teeth. He looked at his bandages and sighed. After that he walked to his room but then looked at his parents room. He usually slept alone but he slowly walked to his parents room and knocked on the door gently
"You can come in" Yuzu said. Mokuro opened the door and walked inside with his ears pinned down and his tail wagging slowly
"I-is it okay if I sleep with you two?" Mokuro asked whimpering softly
"Of course you can" Mei said. Mokuro's face lit up and he jumped in bed with his parents. Yuzu chuckled and turned off the lights then walked to bed. Mokuro laid down between his parents and snuggled in bed
"Goodnight Mokuro" Yuzu and Mei said kissing his forehead. Mokuro smiled and kissed his parent's forehead
"Night mama. Night mommy" Mokuro said as he let sleep take over him while Yuzu and Mei had their arms wrapped around him letting sleep take over them as well. The wonderful family knew they would have an amazing future together loving each other and taking care of each other as a family.
