Scootaloo's POV
On the way to the house, Rainbow and I decided to start singing. Being the little angels that we were, we started singing the most obnoxious songs we could think of and sang them totally off key. It was great, but cut short as we pulled into the driveway of my new home. Peering to the left, I saw the oh so familiar farm of my girlfriend.
"Kid, we can go see them after we get your stuff in." Rainbow said. I jumped out of the car and Soarin popped the hatch. I grabbed my threadbare suitcase and walked in. The two story house had a vanilla scent, making it seem they had just baked cookies.
"Your room is up and to the left," Soarin said. Lifting up my suitcase, I carefully trotted up the stairs. (get it, cause she's from a show about horses? No?) I found the door and walked in, gasping in awe.
The walls were a magenta with a orange bedspread. The carpet was as soft as a cloud. Rainbow came in chuckling.
"I think people who are about to adopt are possessed. They always know what color and type to get everything, don't ya think?" She placed my backpack on the floor and was about to leave when she turned around and said, "Well, come on! We're going to see the Apples."
Snapping out of it, I bounded after her, trying not to land on her foot. Instead of walking down the stairs like normal people, we slid down the banister like they do in movies. After getting our shoes on we walk/limp out to the farm.
AJ's POV (for the first time in forever)
I was deep in planning in my loft in the barn when a hear two voices that I recognized. I trun to the nearest window and confirm my suspicions: it was Scootaloo and.....Rainbow Dash. Was not expecting those two.
"Hey, are any Apples home? We have two people here that need Applessistance." Rainbow called out.
Applebloom came rushing out the barn door and embraced Scootaloo.
"I thought you weren't able to come over till next Sunday. Did something happen?" Applebloom had a look of complete concern on her face while Dash and Scoots exchanged a grim glance.
"Go get AJ. This might take a while." Dash said.
"Ah'm up here. Come on now, get up here." I called. They walked up here in silence and sat down on comfortable spots. Scootaloo kept looking down not making eye contact with any of us.
Taking a shaky breath, Scootaloo started.(I know I already did a chapter on this but I'm gonna repeat it and make it better. We cool? Back to le cries chapie.)
"I don't really live on the other side of town. I live in an orphanage. My parents died eight years ago after being shot. My other family turned me to the orphanage and I haven't heard from them since. About a year ago, they started beating me. That's why I would show up with bruises and sometimes bandages." Blinking back tears, she continued.
"Today, I was late getting all the girls their Starbucks, so Miss Lisa started to beat me. I had promised to get it there by one o'clock, so then I could come over here, but got there at one fifty, thus prompting my punishment. That's when Rainbow showed up. She and her uncle got her off of me and I ran upstairs, not wanting to be seen by my role model."
Dash had a look of shock on her face and stuttered out, "I-I'm your role model?"
Scootaloo finally looked up, a small grin and blush on her face.
"Yeah. Ever since the Mr. Dumbbell incident. If you could come out laughing and joking after that, I could deal with the orphanage jerks." Scootaloo confessed
There was a moment of silence.
"Since Dash and Soarin were there to adopt, they somehow decided to pick me. But, on a hypothetical note, let's say Dash had an older sister and said sister got married to Big Macintosh. Would Applebloom and I still be able to get married, since I'm not blood related?"
Before I had time to answer the question, Dash responded.
"Uh, yeah technically. It might be a bit weird but it's legal and acceptable."
I knew exactly what Scootaloo was thinking: My crush on Dash. I bet the rest of the seven of us older girls are shipping me and Dash hardcore. Sadly, I can't blame them. I really would like to date Dash. Hopefully Applebloom's idea will work....
