In Celebration of my 800+ followers, I decided to write hopefully a nice chapter!! :D Yey!! 800 followers! Thank you guys!! You are awesome!! Enjoy!

"You're gonna love it there in Greenwood." Arwen said as she grabbed her sister's hand as Vanya and the rest of Greenwood's kin was about to go back to the halls of Thranduil. "But I love it here in Imladris." Vanya said as she sat on her horse. Her lavender gown and dark blue cloak draped over her white horse. "My sweet daughter, it is time for you to see the world beyond Imladris." their father encouraged. Vanya spent all night yelling at the stone that contained the prophecy.

"Lord Elrond, thank you for the invite and for the welcoming." Thranduil said as he sat magnificently on his elk. "May you travel safely, you are always welcome in Imladris." Lord Elrond said as both of them touched their forehead in respect. The company of Thranduil started their journey. Vanya traveled beside Legolas while Thranduil was riding in front of them, all of them surrounded by warriors. Legolas then touched Vanya's shoulder and this startled Vanya. "I know this may be awkward but we will take it slow... and if things don't work out then we don't have to love each other... We could be good friends married to each other even though it sounds pretty absurd." Legolas said.

Vanya chuckled at his silliness but couldn't agree less. "Yes, I would love that absurd idea of yours. We shall take it slow... who knows we might fall in love." And after Vanya said that her eyes darted to Thranduil who was already looking at her but once he caught her gaze he looked away. Vanya smirked that their words affected him. Vanya didn't know why she liked messing with Thranduil, she didn't love him. It was just an attraction, and that's all.

"I heard your home is beautiful, as what my younger sister tells me." Vanya said as she looked into Legolas' eyes. He does has his father's eyes and his hair. "I won't say I quite agree with you... because what she says is an understatement." this made Vanya laugh. "My home is amazing!" Legolas says as if he was trying to sell his home. Vanya laughed even more but this time she made physical contact with Legolas by touching his shoulder. Thranduil then snapped at them "Hush! You'll attract orcs! Immature elflings." Both Vanya and Legolas closed their mouths but both wanted to burst out laughing. "You should be careful in the day light.. this one is grumpy." Legolas whispered as he pointed towards Thranduil which made her silently giggle. Thranduil heard it and sighed.

It was gonna be a long journey.

Finally after three days due to Vanya complaining all the time since she was never used to traveling they finally made it to Thranduil's Kingdom. "Well that was a scary forest." Vanya commented which made Thranduil roll his eyes. "It has its days but... if you climb one of the tallest trees... at the very top you can see a view worth a million gems. Orange and red leaves with the wind caressing your face with the smell of fresh water and oak. It is quite peaceful. It even has the view of the lonely mountain." Legolas tried to explain to Vanya, and Vanya even in words she could imagine the view, and the picture in her head still took her breath away.

"Sounds amazing, what in Valar's name made you climb up there?" Vanya asked curiously, Legolas grinned and said "It was my father," this made Vanya's smiled vanish. "It is how he got my name. He told me every night when his father would scold him he would climb the trees because he knew that even in the most darkest places there will always be a place where beauty lies. He climbed the trees and he would stay up there till night fall. He then saw one leaf colored green among all the red and oranges... still that one green leaf was the most beautiful leaf he has ever seen. It stood out from the rest and no matter how the wind howled still the leaf stood strong on its twig." the story was more beautiful than the image in her head. Thranduil turned his elk to face Vanya and Legolas.

"Indeed, but next time I expect you to keep your mouth shut Legolas. That story isn't yours to tell... We are here." Thranduil said sternly as he looked unhappy at me and Legolas. As Vanya's eyes laid on the two pillars and a large door her jaw dropped. She has seen the beauty of Rivendell too much that she never thought of this kind of beauty. "Vanya of Rivendell I welcome you to our home." Thranduil said without making eye contact as the doors opened for them to enter.

They all dismounted their horses what Vanya didn't expect was the long drops that they had inside. Thranduil noticed Vanya looking what's below the bridge and before he could even act upon it he saw Legolas slipped his hand in Vanyas'. Thranduil shouldn't be jealous but in some way he is. If the first time he met Vanya, he was willing to put asides his titles then who knows what her stay will do to him. Vanya noticed the warmth in her hand but it wasn't the warmth her heart was yearning for. "Come on, I can't wait to show you the places." Legolas said excitedly as Legolas bolted dragging Vanya along with him. "Legolas! Not too long! We have a feast tonight. Don't forget to show Vanya her chambers." Thranduil shouted as he watched Vanya and Legolas run off.

***

Legolas showed Vanya every room, every statue, every painting in the kingdom. Not to mention the jolly cooks that made them dance in the kitchen. Her chambers was beautiful, everything made in oak and marble. Her wooden bed with pillars that reached the ceiling and the curtains that hung above made it look fit for any Queen. Lastly Legolas showed her the gardens.

A statue of the Queen stood in the middle. "She is beautiful." Vanya commented. "Yes she was... my father doesn't speak of it but my mother died in Gundabad." Legolas said which made Vanya gasp. Every Elven folk knew of Gundabad especially Vanya who read about the place in her father's books. "I am sorry Legolas." Vanya said as she took a hold of his arm, a sign of comforting. "There was no body... no memory." Vanya taken back from the sadness that was laced in his voice, she pulled him into a hug, and Thranduil was watching from the window.

Legolas returned the hug and both pulled away. "I bet your father went through a rough time." Vanya said once Thranduil heard that sentence he walked away not wanting to hear anymore. Vanya felt stupid, now she came to realize that Thranduil's words were real. That he only danced with her because she was marrying his son. Thranduil lost the love of his life. Elves can only love once, how stupid she felt that Thranduil could feel something for her. "He did went through a rough time... but my father never truly loved my mother." Vanya took all her thoughts back. She's not stupid. "What? Why?" Vanya asked.

"My father and mother care for each other but they were both in an arranged marriage. For King Oropher wanted the best elleth for my father. My father tried falling in love with my mother but no matter how hard he tried both of them could not feel love towards each other. They stayed as good friends. When my mother died my father lost his wife and a friend." Legolas explained. Vanya didn't know what to feel sad? Happy? Jealous that it wasn't her getting arranged with Thranduil?

Vanya slapped herself for even thinking of that.

"But enough of sadness, it is all in the past. Maybe you want to rest today has been tiring." Legolas suggested. "Yes it is but I enjoyed it... Thank you Legolas." It was a good thing that Vanya remembered where her chambers were. She went there to change into a simple powder blue gown and grabbed her favorite book that she brought along which was hand written by her father 'The tale of Beren and Luthien' then she walked back to the gardens to sit next to the statue of the Queen of Greenwood. "Mae Govannen! (Greetings)I hope you don't mind that I'll sit here and read." Vanya talked to the statue. "It's the tale of Beren and Luthien, I think you have heard of this tale. It is one of my favorites! From the first time I have read this I have always wished that my life would have a love story like theirs.... too late for that." Vanya said as she chuckled to herself.

"As Beren looked into her eyes Within the shadows of her hair, the trembling starlight of the skies he saw there mirrored shimmering. Tinuviel the elven-fair, Immortal maiden elven-wise, about him cast her shadowy hair and arms like silver glimmering." Vanya read out loud until a voice continued the story making her head snapped towards the entrance of the gardens,

"Long was the way that fate them bore, O'er stony mountains cold and grey, through halls of iron and darkling door, and woods of nightshade morrowless. The Sundering Seas between them lay, and yet at last they met once more, and long ago they passed away in the forest singing sorrowless." Thranduil said, 'He memorized it' Vanya said in her head as she quickly stood up. "You've read the story?" Thranduil rolled his eyes and said "Yes, I did. And so did the Queen. You don't have to talk to the statue like a foolish little elleth, her remains isn't here." Vanya scowled at his cold harsh voice. "Just tell me what are you doing here?" Vanya asked as she closed her book. "The feast has started, everyone was looking for you and for some odd reason I knew I would find you here." Thranduil said.

Vanya just walked out of the gardens and ignored the King as she went back to her chambers to put back her precious book. As she walked down to where the feast was being held, today her breath has been taken many times and this had her breath taken once more. The place was filled with golden light and even though there was a bonfire in the middle still the place looked elegant. Ellons dancing in their finest tunics with elleths dancing gracefully in their best silk gowns. There she stood looking simple in her blue gown and brown boots, she felt left out but she didn't know that you would have to look your best in this kind of events. All the elleths stood far away sipping on wine looked at Vanya as if she was foreign to them, which she was.

Thranduil then clapped his hand making everybody quiet as they stood to look at their King sitting in his chair a small replica of his throne in the throne room. "My people of Greenwood, may I introduce you to Vanya of Rivendell, daughter of Lord Elrond and Lady Celebrain.... Future wife of Prince Greenleaf." Thranduil announced. People started cheering, some started clapping while some just started chatting. Vanya felt nervous and embarrassed as she stood alone in the entrance. When all of a sudden Legolas popped out of nowhere and picked up Vanya by her waist. "Vanya!" he cheered. "I was looking for you." as he stood happily in front of her. "Something's got you happy." Vanya said, she could feel Thranduil's glare from across the room.

"Festivals make me happy." Legolas said. "May I have this dance?" he asked, this made Vanya remember the night that Thranduil asked her to dance. This time she looked up into the eyes of his son and not the person she wanted to dance with. "Yes you may." Vanya said as she slipped her hand into his. They started gracing the room with their footsteps while Thranduil watched as they danced. His hand was clenching the side of his chair, he dare not to feel this way. He barely knows the elleth for all he knows she could be psychopath or an elk killer.

All night he watched as his son danced with an elleth that he barely even knows,

And for some odd reason his chest hurt as he watched.
