Tower 9: Teleportation, Wind Tower 6, and a Reunion

I am going to have to get used to that title... Okay!

And apparently I already posted every chapter of this.. Okay! Then, I suppose I'll do a late announcement.

"So, how do I teleport?"

"Just imagine the place you want to go. You can choose this from a person, a place, even just a specific object that was there. For example, you could go home literally just by thinking of a book that you have. You can picture the place; you can think of the name; you can teleport any which way you prefer."

"Okay."

Wind Tower 6.. Wind Tower 6.. Wind Tower-

"Tenshi..aniki.."

"?" I opened my eyes. The next wind tower.. I ruffled Kiseki's hair, "Thanks."

I guess teleporting is easier – and quicker – than I thought..

"Okay, let's go in," I walked in.

---

This tower was about lines. Pretty simple.

Control over a demon, a list of the demon NPCs, or a book of your choice.

Okay. Time to get Null back..

I clicked control over a demon and typed in Null's name.

A few seconds passed.

Nothing happened.

"V-Voice? Sh..Shouldn't Null be here? Where's Null?" I asked warily.

I got no response.

Demon's P.O.V.

Finally, my house.

"Alright, Null, let's get in."

"Hai, Master."

We walked in, and I led him to my room. I took off my shirt, but I jerked.

"Null!" I threw my shirt to the side, grabbing his hair.

What the h*ll..? Why is he disappearing?!! Why is my control completely gone?!! Sh*t!

Let's see, what are my options..? I could try to bite him again, but that doesn't guarantee anything, considering he's got a new master.. I could even risk killing him.. I could have sex with him, but I'm barely able to keep him here by yanking his hair. I'd need to keep one hand on him at all times, and that would be hard to strip us with one hand..

There aren't any other options though.. since I don't know where his new master is, and he's obviously stronger than me. I wouldn't be able to kill whoever his new master is.

Hmmn.. Null seems to be teleporting.. but it can't be of his own will. He can't know how anyway.

I glared.

Alright then.. let's meet this new master of his..

I stopped resisting and instead let myself be teleported with Null.

So this is.. what it feels like.. to teleport..

Tenshi's P.O.V.

After a few seconds in which I was starting to get a panic attack, two people appeared in front of me: a demon with no shirt and Null.

The demon glared at me, "So you're the one who was trying to take Null.." he glanced, "and I see you're also the one who separated Null from his brother.. I must say, I didn't think you were dangerous, Tenshi," he chuckled, sending shivers down my spine. "You can't have taken control of Null on your own- you're only human. Was it the voice?"

"Tenshi..aniki.. dan..ger..ous.."

He scoffed, laughing harshly, "You haven't even gotten rid of Kiseki's stutter? What a poor master you are, Tenshi! Weak.. I am a much more fitting master to promising demons like Null and Kiseki."

"Give Null back! He's my boyfriend, not yours!" I cried.

"How about this, Tenshi? We'll make a deal. You and Kiseki become my slaves, just like Null. I'll get rid of Kiseki's annoying stutter, and I'll let you and Null f*ck each other all you like. I won't get in the way of your relationship. Deal? Or no deal?"

"Are you kidding me?!! Just give my boyfriend back!!"

The demon whistled, "Feisty. Is Null really that important to you? You won't let me help Kiseki and everything? What's so bad about being my slave? It's not so bad, is it? I'm not like most masters, you know. I mostly let you guys roam free. If you still insist to take Null from me.." the demon yanked Null to him, and he muttered against Null's neck, never once losing eye contact with me, "Then I'll just have to take Null.. I was just about to when you decided to interfere.."

"DON'T YOU DARE!!" I took out my water sword and slashed at him. His eyes widened, and he jumped out of the way with Null. He glared at me.

"You should be careful with that, you know. Null is a fire demon. You could kill him, and that's not what you want, is it? But I suppose you don't want to take my deal still.." he gripped Null's shirt and ripped it.

"A..ni..ki..!" Kiseki's teeth chattered, and he charged forward.

"Ah yes, Kiseki is certainly a dedicated little demon. Being a child no doubt affects that," the demon jumped out of the way, and his tail headed for Kiseki.

"KISEKI!!" I shrieked, and a blur of dark blue headed past me. I watched in horror as the tail grabbed Midnight.

"Hah? What the h*ll is this?" the demon pulled him towards himself.

"T-Tenshi-kun!" the voice finally spoke, "You have to make that demon let go of Null-kun! As it is, Null-kun doesn't process any master! Null-kun won't move, or speak, or anything! If you just make the demon let go of Null-kun, then you'll have Null-kun on your side!"

The demon threw Midnight to the wall, and I screamed.

"Tenshi-kun! You need to calm down! You guys need to try and distract the demon, and while he's distracted, grab Null-kun! Okay? That's the only way you're going to get out of this mess!"

"A..ni..ki.. A..ni..ki.."

"Listen to me, Tenshi-kun. Kiseki is somehow defying some of your orders, so it's best if you're the one distracting, okay? Distract the demon, and Kiseki'll grab Null. Okay?"

I gripped my water sword with tears in my eyes and charged forward.

"U-Uh, Tenshi-kun, I hope that's how you're distracting!!"

I felt pain, and I blacked out.

-----------------------

Sigh..

This is the second time I blacked out from a demon fight..

"Tenshi-aniki."

Stare..

"Wah!" I shot up, nearly bonking Kiseki on the head. "N-Null! Where's Null?! Kiseki?! Midnight?!!" I hastily looked around. Kiseki was sitting beside me with Midnight in his arms, and Null was on the ground a little ways away, unconscious.

Kiseki looked perfectly fine, although he did have a bruise on his cheek and a few scratches on his arms. Midnight was injured, but he was alive. As for Null..

I crawled over to Null, checking his pulse. I puffed a breath of relief.

"Oh thank God.. Null.." I looked over at Kiseki and checked his injuries. "We should go home and get some band-aids.." I murmured.

Also, let Null rest..

And us..

It's been a really long time.. since I've just let myself sleep..

Blink.

Wait.. speaking of which..

"Kiseki, how long have I been out?" I inquired.

"A day or so."

-u-'

"Daiyone..? I have been trying to stay awake for a while.."

I've only slept twice since we got in this crazy game..

I brushed a few strands of Null's hair out of his face and kissed his forehead.

Ah, Null, you have no idea.. how much I've missed you..

"I'm totally sleep-deprived.. Kiseki, are you alright?"

"Demons don't have to sleep unless injured," he replied.

"Well aren't you a smarty-pants," I droned back. I stretched and stood up. "Alright then. Let's go back home. I need to pick up my Bible anyway. And some water, I am so sick of going into random houses and raiding their fridges and pantries."

"I've already told you, it's just in the game!! It doesn't affect anyone except you when you raid it!"

"And you!! What was that, huh?!! You totally stopped speaking!! It could've helped to know why Null hadn't arrived, and that he haDN'T BEEN RAPED, DANG IT!!"

"It wouldn't have been rape! And I would've told you, it's just that I was shocked! That demon had defied the rules of the game! It's not every day your own NPC defies the rules! I mean, clearly there's.. well, clearly my rules don't.. agh!! Never mind, that's not the point!"

"So? Why didn't Null arrive immediately, and why did the demon arrive with him?"

"Because he was defying Null's teleportation. As you saw, the demon was grabbing Null's hair, and he was trying with all his might to keep Null where he was. Then he let both of them be taken. You see, how teleportation normally works is, anyone touching the person teleporting will be transported with them. Since you didn't know the rules of teleportation and everything, I decided to just let it slide that you weren't teleporting Kiseki and Midnight, and I teleported them on their own."

o-o

"What? You mean I would've left them behind?"

"Well, I'm sure you would've screamed at me about why they weren't with you and how the teleportation had malfunctioned and everything before going back, but yeah."

"Oh my goodness!! I'm so sorry, Kiseki!! Midnight!!"

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Anyway, that's the smallest explanation. Oi, you, Kiseki-chan, how do you keep defying my rules?"

"Huh?"

"..."

"As if it wasn't strange enough that you were able to defy Tenshi-kun's control.. you, a little demon, not only got rid of your stutter on your own, but you have showed on two different occasions that you have complete control over your powers. Additionally, you, a little demon.. gained control of a very powerful demon."

"What?"

"Sorry for earlier."

"EEK!! THE DEMON!!"

"Calm down, Tenshi-kun, he's in Kiseki-chan's control."

"What?"

"... When you lost consciousness, Tenshi-kun, Kiseki-chan pulled Null out of the demon's grasp and bit the demon.. He tore a whole chunk out of the demon's shoulder, although as you can see, it's already healed. That's how the demon initially got control over Null-kun, although it was just a small nibble."

"Wha..t?"

"Stop asking what already. I want to know how. Well, Kiseki-chan?"

"... I don't know. I just bit him because he'd bitten Aniki.." Kiseki mumbled.

"Payback then? It seems you use your powers without knowing. It seems you looked into either Null-kun or the demon's memories without meaning to. I swear, what is up with you three? A human who can defy becoming a demon, a newborn demon that easily became an amateur expert on his own, and an idiot who isn't nearly as awesome as his boyfriend and little brother."

"Hey! Null's not an idiot!"

"Tenshi-kun. The demon was able to get close, nibble into his neck, and immediately gain control over Null-kun. Null-kun may have some promise, and he may have rejected a demon to teach him, but seriously? It might just be his newborn status, but he is seriously weak."

"Grr.. how dare you insult my boyfriend.."

"Yeah, whatever. Why don't you go to the next Tower, huh? You said you'd destroy this game, right?"

"And I haven't changed that goal! But first we need to get my Bible. And some water. And a shirt."

"I don't get why you're so obsessed with God."

"And I don't get why you and everyone else don't believe in God. He's real.."

"Tenshi-kun, you started having a cheerful heart attack at the sight of an angel. That was actually a hologram."

"Oi!"

"Pretty sure you're pushing it."

"There's no such thing as too much belief in the Lord."

"If you say so."

"Hmph! Watch or read Heaven is for Real {which I don't own} if you don't believe me! It's a true story!"

"Huh? Heaven is for Real? What's that?"

"It's a book and movie made in the twenty-first century!"

"THE TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY?!! DUDE, WHY ARE YOU WATCHING SH*T SO OLD?!!"

"Hey, it's not poop!! It's.. really nice.. I used to watch it all the time.. with my.. family.."

"?"

{You know, I just realized something.. Null was supposed to be the main character of this series.. and well, Tenshi-kun kind of took that place..? And the thing is, with the way I'm wanting to go.. Tenshi-kun won't be the MC for long. I wonder if Kiseki-chan'll take Tenshi's place! X'D Lol, then Null being the MC will be put off even longer!}

"Well, whatever. Go to your home if you have to then."

"We will," I grabbed Null's hand and Kiseki's arm. "Kiseki, grab the demon.." I droned unhappily. Kiseki nodded, shifted Midnight to the arm I was grabbing, and grabbed the demon's hand. I imagined our home in my mind, and we were transferred there. "By the way," I inquired as we walked into our house, "How many towers are there anyway?"

"Look on your map if you're curious."

"Oh yea, I suppose so," I dropped my bag on the ground and went to grab Null, but Kiseki was already doing so. "...Geez, you're strong."

"?" he looked up at me.

"That's what I've been saying!" the voice argued.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever, stupid Voice."

"Can you stop calling me that?"

"Well, what am I SUPPOSED to call you?!!"

"Just call me K I guess."

"K?"

"Yeah. Or KT if that's weird."

"Are those your initials?"

"Yeah."

"Okay."

"You two are amusing," the demon crossed his arms.

"Be quiet." {Tenshi}

"Sh*t up." {KT}

"I said don't cuss!" {Tenshi}

"I'll cuss when I want to!" {KT}

"Tenshi-aniki, where should I put Aniki?" {Kiseki}

"Ah, just put him on his bed, Kiseki. In the meantime, I'll start dinner. What do you want?"

"Eggs!" {Kiseki}

"What the h*ll are eggs?" {Demon}

"Tenshi-kun, NPCs don't eat." {KT}

"Okay.. Good information. And I guess I'll make some eggs, to celebrate that we brought Null home," I smiled. "Plus, the last time we ate eggs was before this entire mess."

"What the h*ll are eggs?" {Demon}

"Kiseki, get him to stop cussing." {Tenshi}

Kiseki looked up at the demon, "Don't cuss."

"...Okay." {Demon}

"Great," I walked into our small kitchen and began cooking. Kiseki moved Null to his room. Midnight was sitting beside the door, but he was conscious. After washing my hands, I shut the door with my foot as I dried my hands on a paper towel. "Oh, you," I looked to the demon, "Can you cook?"

"...What."

"Never mind, you probably can't. Um.." I tried to think of something he could do rather than standing around. I didn't trust him with Null or Midnight or Kiseki.

"I will go to my Master," the demon started to walk away, but I stopped him.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Hold on! I don't trust you with Kiseki or Null!"

"...Huh?" he looked at me with a totally unimpressed look.

"Tenshi-kun, he's at the complete mercy of Kiseki-chan. He won't do anything bad."

"... Midnight, can you watch him?" I asked my monster pet, and he rose. He was clearly exhausted though. "Great, if he does anything weird, come to get me, okay?" Midnight followed the demon into the other room. I took a deep breath through my nose. I really just wanted to take care of Null and Midnight and Kiseki, but we ought to eat first. "Hey, how often does Midnight eat anyway?" I got back to cooking, pouring the eggs into the pan.

"You ask that after feeding him every time you and Kiseki ate." I glared at the ceiling. The voice sighed, "Well, technically, they don't really have to eat, but you've made Midnight adapt to eating. You should probably just continue this schedule, just in case he already requires eating."

"Oh.."

"Yeah. In other words, you should've just never given him any food."

"... And why didn't you tell me this earlier?"

"Because you never asked."

I threw the spatula at the ceiling.
