Chapter 17

"Brother?" I ask shocked. Bill never mentioned he had a brother! And a twin brother!!! What else was he keeping from me....

"Yes... I'm Will Cipher... where am I?" The small demon looked up, and I could see his eyes filled with sorrow. "Gravity Falls." I answered. Pyronica turned towards not-Bill, and talked to him reassuring. "Hey Will. I don't know if you remember me, but I'm one of Bill's friends. This is Dipper, Bill's Pinetree. But don't worry, you're not in Reverse Falls anymore. He's not like your Burning Tree."

Pyronica then turned back to me and answered my questions before I could even ask them. "Will got stuck in an alternate dimension, where everything is reverse. You and Mabel there are Gleeful's and are really abusive and evil towards Will here..."

"Who is the opposite of Bill." I finish for her, a look a disgust and sadness on my face.

"Aww, Sapling. I know you're sad you don't get to see your boyfriend, but don't be mad to Will here!"

"Boyfriend?" I sputtered out. "Bill is not my boyfriend.

"Maybe not yet." Pyronica chuckled out.

"Speaking of Bill, where is my brother?" asked Will.

"We have a lot of explaining to do. Here, take this." I offered to Will a potion that I had made earlier. "Don't worry Will. It's not poison. It'll let you stay in this dimension longer." Will was hesitant before, but as soon as Pyronica said that it'll let him stay in this dimension longer he chugged the thing down. Guess he really hates Reverse Falls.

"Now," I said, breaking the summoning circle so he could walk freely, "Let's go inside, shall we?"

"So... my brother is stuck in a statue?" Will asked, staring down at the glass of water in his hands.

"Yes, and it's decaying. Once it's gone, so is he." Will started to nod, "So...why did you try to summon me?" He quarried. A look of annoyance showed on my face. "We didn't. I tried to summon Bill. I thought that if I'd summon him with the power of the wheel, then it'd reverse his statue state."

Will looked up to me and slowly began to speak. "I think I know why it didn't work..." Immediately my interest peaked. "You do? Why?" I demanded impatiently. "Well... you see portals really only go to the Nightmare Realm or another dimension. Since Bill is stuck in the statue, he was unable to answer the summoning. So, it likely summoned the next best thing, a different Cipher...me." Will was quiet by the end of it, and this time it was I who was nodding my head.

"That makes sense Will, but how do we get Bill out of the statue?" Pyronica finally spoke up. Throughout the conversation she has remained quiet, simply listening to me explaining the situation.

"Well Py... I need a minute to think. I do have a backup plan but, it's a little bit difficult."

"What is it?" Will lurched forward, "I want to help you free my brother."

"Well..." I began to rub my neck. It's true that I have a backup plan. I didn't wait 4 years to only come up with a plan A. It's just that, plan B is a little...different. It would require creating a strong potion, which I don't have everything for.

" I think," I continued, "that if we could create a strong enough potion to fix the statue, then it would reverse to it's original state."

"Hence freeing Bill." Pyronica finished. "Exactly." I added. "What do we need to do?" inquired.

"I need to gather a few more ingredients. Also, the amount of magic required in the potion would be extensive. So, I will need both of you to help me with that aspect." I responded, my confidence in the plan returning. "However, as my so called 'family' believe me to be captured, I can't be seen. This means I will have to get the things at night."

"Okay, but it's late Sapling. You should head to sleep." With a small nod to Pyronica, I headed off to my room. I was tired, but I first had to do a few things.

Taking out my 3rd journal, I flipped to the next page and began to write.

I just did my first plan to free Bill. It was the zodiac summoning wheel. Blood from all of the zodiacs were laid on their space. I did it to trick the summoning wheel that the entire wheel was there. My hope was that the strong enough magic of the wheel would reverse the effects it had previously on Bill, freeing him from his statue and bringing him to the summoning. However, much to my disappointment it did not work. Instead, I was greeted by Will Cipher, Bill's brother. Will theorizes that since Bill was trapped, the summoning wheel brough the next Cipher. Now, I have to act on plan B, which is harder. Luckily, I have another Demon at my fingertips to help with it.

Content with the content of the entry, I put away the blue journal back into my desk. Instead of going to sleep however, I took out the ciphered journal.

Bill.

Hey~ Pinetree

Why didn't you tell me you had a brother?

I wrote quickly, angered at the fact he kept this from me.

Wait... how do you know Will?

I tried to free you. I made your wheel, with blood from each zodiac to trick the wheel that they were there. I was hoping that the power of the wheel would reverse what it did before and summon you, however instead I got greeted by Will. Who, by the way, is nothing like you.

That was smart Pinetree. And don't be too rough on Will, okay? I know he seems weak and fragile, but with years of emotional and physical abuse, can you blame him for being like that?

Wow Bill, never thought you'd be the one for sentiment.

I have my moments.

Laughing, I began to relax into the conversation. Eventually, however, the sun was rising and I had to put the journal away.

I have to go Bill, bye.

Bye Pinetree~

I closed the journal and put away it and the pen. Wiping the sleep out of my eyes, I walked into the kitchen where Pyronica was waiting.

"What?" I snapped at her sleepily, making my way over to the fridge.

"What?" She mimicked my words with a hint of disappointment. "What do you mean 'what?' You stayed up all night! Why!"

"Oh, I was chatting with Bill." I answered quickly, not fully realizing what I had said.

"How?" Pyronica launched at me, gripping my shoulders. "Geez, relax." I shrugged her off and made my way to the coffee machine. "I have this magical journal that I can talk to him through." Pouring the coffee, I glanced back at Pyronica. "And no you can't use it." I spoke strictly.

"Sapling, whyyyyyyy?" She asked, flinging herself onto me. "Because, it's his and I's way for private conversation." Pyronica picked herself up off of me, and raised her eyebrows in surprise, a shit-eating smile beginning to form. "Private conversations? Sapling, please do tell!" Regret hit me in the head as I pushed her out of my way. "Stay out of it Py." She rolled her eyes then joined me in the living room.

We both sat down on the couch, me drinking coffee and her ice tea. Will also joined us, drinking hot chocolate.

"So," Py began. "What are we doing today?"

"Well," I answered, "I need to check on Bill's statue. Make sure it isn't dead yet. Then, at night I'll gather the last ingredients. I should have the majority of everything, there's just one thing I need to kill and then I'll have everything." Will's eyes went wide at the word kill. "It might take a day from then to actually create the potion, but then we can free him." I gaze off into the distance, imagining my dream coming true. Bill's human form crosses my mind, and I can't help but smile.

"And then Sapling can make out with his boyfriend!" Pyronica exclaims happily, knocking me out of my day-dreaming.

"Pyronica!" I yell, slapping her with a pillow, "Bill is not my boyfriend!" I swear Will chokes when I said that. After a few minutes, everything calmed down. We were sitting in quiet until Will spoke up.

"I ship it," he whispered into his drink.
