Chapter II
I stared at them, shocked. Suddenly Kamil brightened up and Angel looked at Jus hungrily.
"Food?" He asked again hopefully.
Reliant. Warms up to strangers almost immediately. Kamil, however... Well, he's hungry too. Doesn't show weakness. Friendly, almost too much.
I analyzed them carefully, observing as Jus gave them half a loaf of bread after they promised to sweep the floor for a week. I glanced up at him hungrily and he gave me a chunk of bread. We devoured our meal, not missing a crumb.
"Thanks Jus!" Angel and Kamil called at the same time as they scurried off.
I hurried between the tables, waiting anxiously for Kamil and Angel. I gave several men their lunches before taking a few other people's orders. As I walked back to the kitchen to retrieve them the boys walked in. I smiled.
"Moon!" Kamil called. I turned to them, grinning. They walked quickly towards me and enveloped me in a hug. I kissed each of their cheeks and delivered the next set of meals. After I finished I started serving a few men at the bar while smiling and laughing with Kamil and Angel.

"Can I help you?" I asked politely to a young man a couple years older than me, maybe seventeen. He smiled warmly. Well... That's creepy if anything.
"Yes. Half whiskey half water please." I nodded, poured it in a glass and handed it to him. Wimp. He was obviously from the city, in a suit with a gold watch. Rich wimp. I glanced at our old grandfather clock and smiled. A moment later it struck seven and Jus walked in with Susan, his wife, and a small German Shepard puppy. Where did he come from? I grinned and accepted it from him, cradling the puppy as Susan took my place waitressing and Jus took my place at the counter. The pup looked hungry and tired. I set him on the counter and took off my apron. I grabbed a couple chunks of scrap meat and offered them to the pup. I then picked him up and brought him to my room. Setting him gently on my bed, I changed from my dress to my jeans and button up. Then as he nodded off I ran back down the stairs. I plopped down in an empty seat between Kamil and the new man I'd served earlier. Jus gave me my evening whiskey and I threw it back, smirking as the new guy choked on his diluted whiskey. Tsk, tsk. I turned as the door opened and Darius Hook burst in. I inched slightly towards Kamil. Darius stomped towards the bar and smirked at the man next to me.
"Let's play a game, city slicker. I wager seven koins against this wimp," he said.
"Actually, Darius, how about we go against each other for no koin to show 'im how it's done 'fore ya whoop 'is ass?" I asked. He nodded, but kept his gaze fixed on the man. I sauntered over to the table and Darius followed. We sat across from each other as Jus reluctantly brought the whiskey and shot glasses over. Kamil started pouring as Darius stared at me and I stared back at him. We each downed twenty shots before Jus stopped us.
"Okay, Moon, that's enough, get up," he said. I stood and swayed a little. I gripped Angel's shoulder as the scared city man took my place. I watched Kamil pour the shots and the city slicker only made it through two before he surrendered and gave Darius his seven koins. I smirked.
"Who're ya, anyway?" I asked, still hanging onto Angel for support. The man smiled wryly, standing. When he spoke I froze.
"Roman."
