41: MAKE A SQUARE MAKE IT ROUND
"IS THAT A WAILORD!?" Gale slid across the floor on his knees, reaching for the whale-like Pokemon. He just saw some of his classmates hanging by the corner in the room they rented for their Christmas Party. The corner was dubbed, "Petmalounge". It had those kiddie puzzle mats, two dog stuffed toys, one cat stuffed toy, and two watermelon costumes.
"Yep." Kotka said as she cuddled the Pokemon.
"His name is Squishy." Sir Neil laughed.
"But a real life Wailord could just Hydro Pump the school and— BAM!" Denise said. "No school!"
"It could just appear from the middle and crush everything." Lucas added.
"Wait, that's yours, Sir?" Gale asked.
"Yep."
"Oh my god..." Andy clutched his head. "I just remembered something..."
"What?" Lucas asked.
"A Wailord and Skitty can breed together..." Andy said.
"Let's..." Kotka sighed. "Not think about that..."
"sKITTY!" Denise grabbed the Pusheen Cat stuffed toy.
"ooOoOoHHhh!" John giggled.
"NO!" Kotka clutched the Wailord closer.
Denise snatched the Pokémon, and John started to rub the Pusheen Cat against it.
"Lucas," Andy whispered to him, terrified. "Dispose of all your games right now."
"Uh... no." Lucas shook his head, but he got up to keep the case where he kept the game cards.
"ALL HAIL THE WATERMELON LORD!" JC announced.
"I am the Watermelon Lord!" James announced as he wore a watermelon headdress and two green blankets from the lounge corner.
"What happened to the war?" Brooke asked.
"We both got too lazy to do anything, so we made a truce." JC shrugged.
"Gale!" Cheese Roll called him.
"What?" He looked behind him.
"Get ready. You're the emcee." She said.
"Oh, yeah!" Gale took his phone out of his pocket, scrolling for the script. "When do we start?"
"Few minutes."
"Okay."

"Alright, guys!" Gale greeted his classmates as they sat before him. Although, Denise was now wearing the Watermelon Lord costume, and Andy was hugging the Wailord, looking peaceful for once. "Welcome to Memes' first Christmas Party! We'll start with Hansel's opening remarks—"
"HAPPY CHRISTMAS! MERRY NEW YEAR!" Hansel stood up and cheered, intentionally switching the two greetings up.
"Yeah, so we'll start with the fun part—" Gale paused. "Wait, no... The fun part's the food."
The class laughed.
"We'll start with the games!" Gale said. "We'll play Musical Chairs, first! The game where you just walk around a circle of chairs, and when the music stops, you have to sit in one. The number of players and chairs slowly go down until three are left."
• • • • •
"Ah!" The music stopped, and Jay tripped right before he could sit down, allowing Gavin to take his place.
"Are you okay!?" The latter looked at the former.
Jay took a while to reply. "...Yeah."
Gavin looked relieved.
"I think we can declare the three winners!" Gale announced, and he pointed at each of them. "Gavin, Kotka, and RD!"
Sir Neil created the Memes Christmas Party Games Hall of Fame and drew a chair surrounded by small music notes. Underneath that, he placed the names of the winners.
"Uh, so..." Gale said once the winners got their prizes and some returned the chairs. "The second game is Paper Dance!"
"What even is that?" Carl asked.
"Each pair will have to dance in any way while the music is playing." Sir Neil explained, as it was his idea. "Once the music stops, they will have to both get on the piece of paper given to them. The paper gets smaller for each round."
"Not everyone has to join, though." Leanne added, holding up a limited amount of papers.
"If none of you volunteer we're using a random number generator!" Hansel waved her phone.
"Hey, Jay!" Gavin called him. "Let's be partners!"
"Why would you want to play that game?" Jay exclaimed.
"I just want to win every single one." He answered. "You're small enough for us to fit... And you're going to win with me, too."
"Hmph..." Jay frowned a bit. "Fine..."

"I'm not complaining, but wHY ARE ALL THE PLAYERS BOYS?" Ava asked, looking at all of them.
"Remember when I said Gale had to crossdress to prove his gender..." James answered, even if he was chosen by the random number generator. "We're doing this to prove we're boys. All the girls in Memes are in fact not girls."
"I seriously can't imagine why you're thinking of that..." Andy shook his head. He wasn't part of the game.
"Okay, let's start!" Gale played the music.
"Is that slow music—"
"Wrong song, okay!?" Gale stopped it immediately. "I'm trying to find the one I saved..."
"I'll be the music first!" Hansel skipped to the front of the room.
"I have two hands!" She sang while doing the corresponding actions.
"The left and the right.
Hold them up!
So clean and bright!
Clap them softly.
One, two, three!
Clean little hands are—"
Cheese Roll suddenly stopped Hansel from singing any longer... And it also showed the music stopped.
The paper the pairs stood on was still enough for them not to do anything strange. They were able to just stand compressed together.
"Twinkle twinkle little star!" Hansel stared singing again once the papers were folded in half.

After Hansel sang her fourth song (Mary Had a Little Lamb... The third was the Alphabet...) Gale finally retrieved his playlist. There were three pairs left consisting of Gavin and Jay, JC and Ciel, and James and Carl.
Gale started the music, and the players (awkwardly) danced. He also saw Sir Neil drawing another Memes Christmas Party Games Hall of Fame. There was a disco ball, a paper filled with text letting out a bunch of moves, and a (possible math) test paper shyly moving its arms.
Gale stopped the music the moment Sir finished. JC lifted Ciel up, Gavin dragged Jay close, and James and Carl had to hu— compress against and hold each other with no other intention besides playing the Paper Dance game.
Then James lost his balance. The two toppled over with the former on top of the latter.
It was really amusing for most people, but Lucas and Brooke shielded Diego's and Kara's eyes, respectively.

After everyone settled down and Sir Neil finished writing down the winners (Gavin, Jay, JC, and Ciel), the class officers checked the time and called everyone's attention.
"So do you guys want to eat now, or let's go straight to the two other games?" He said.
The majority voted for the former.

"The best drink!" Denise raised a bottle of orange juice. Everyone just ended up either giving it to him or having theirs stolen. "It causes brain damage! For best results/maximum damage, drink as much as you can with only two hours of sleep, a week of you being awake, several mugs of coffee, eating only bread for a single meal for a whole day, and stressful social and academic lives! Also, play video games that allow you to place mountains of dead bodies in your base!"
"I'm wondering how you're still alive..." Ava sighed.
"I'm wondering, too!" He smiled.
• • • • •
"Alright, let's start the next game." Gale announced. They were done eating, and they had also played Murder Mystery, the one they had during their recollection. Like last time, there were dramatic goodbyes...
"We're gonna play Longest Line." He continued. "The class will be divided in two groups, the Greeks and Romans, and each group will have to make the longest line starting here... Within five minutes... You can use anything!"
"Just keep it PG." Jeff whispered.
"Go!" Gale yelled, and he watched as the two groups scrambled around either placing or gathering objects.
Everyone laid down their IDs first... Then there were phones, hankies, shoes, shoelaces, bags, pens, glasses, Squishy the Wailord (on the Romans' side), and other items.
"TWENTY SECONDS!" Jeff shouted.
Suddenly, Jabari unbuttoned his polo and added it to the Romans' line. He had an undershirt on (like all the boys), but a lot of people had to look away. Jared did the same, but instead of adding it to the line, he used it to cover Jabari.
"That's still PG!" Jeff shrugged, seemingly okay with it.
"Not really..." Lucas shook his head as he covered Diego's eyes.
"Oh— JUST ADD IT TO THE LINE!" Carl took down the polo and added it to the Romans' line (Jared's group) even if he was in the Greek one.
"Time's up!" Jeff said.
"Looks like the Romans won." Sir Neil started to draw another part of the Memes Christmas Party Games Hall of Fame. He was still disturbed, but he knew those two wouldn't do anything else except for that.

After everyone calmed down, it was time to clean up, and that included disposing the trash and moving the chairs back into place.
Once that was done, everyone said their goodbyes. As much as they didn't want to leave, going on their Christmas Break was almost as nice as staying with the class.
"Alright, class." Sir Neil beamed at them. "Congrats on surviving two quarters! You all are halfway through Grade Seven. Hope you all enjoy your Christmas Break!"
He paused.
"And remember..."
Another pause with a sadistic smile.
"Your Math grades will arrive on Christmas Eve!"
