-Part 8-

I woke up this morning sprawled out across my bed.
I didn't want to think about what happened last night. My 'Father' has never beat me that hard. He had never thrown me into a basement I didn't even know we had.
Amy you have to move on. I told myself. The past is the past.

Today is.. what even is the day? I didn't care. I needed to go to school and get away from this house. Get away from those evil memories.
It was 8:12am. School starts at 9:00am. I had a bit to get ready. I chucked on a different hoodie, since my other one was bloodstained. Grabbed my bag, packed lunch and left. My parents had already left for work, thankfully. I didn't know what I was going to tell them when I got home. I needed to tell someone. All my friends know I'm abused at home. And being the most amazing people they are, they are the people who bought me a phone, so we could keep in contact.
We have a group chat between all of us, so I like to talk to them a lot. Except my parents don't know I have it, so if they ever do... I'm done for.
A Red sedan (Vroom vrooooom) drove past on the road beside me, and inside, was a little blonde head. It was Meghan.
I smiled at the thought of her. She is always so happy, like she doesn't have a issue in the world. She probably doesn't. She's perfect.

Ugh, stop thinking that way.. she would never like a coward like you.
Why would anyone like you? Your a stupid girl who doesn't deserve anyone.
Especially not a girl. Everyone at school is straight. You would get bullied being gay.

And the thoughts rolled in. Tears welled up in my eyes, as I walked a little slower, processing this all. By the time I had finally got to school, I had bawled, and got myself cleaned up, because I didn't want anyone to ask me why I was crying. That was the last thing I needed.

Meghan's POV:

I saw Amy walk in though the doors, and despite the guilt I was feeling, a smile sprawled out across my face.
I was always happy when I saw her.
Why am I guilty? I had a fight with one of my friends I was on exchange with a bit before school. But that didn't matter.
"Hey Amy!" I yelled out to her. "Hi, Meg." She replied glumly.
"Is something wrong?" I asked. "No, Meghan, it's nothing of your concern." She sighed, putting her bag in her locker, and getting out her books for her first subject. "Alright, but remember, you can always come to talk to me, if you need anything." I informed. "Sure."
"Also.. I need to tell you guys something at lunch." I said, my smile fading away. I turned and walked away before she could say anything.

I'm only an exchange student from London, England. I was meant to stay in America for a month, but due to some changes, I can only stay for another week. And I've only been here for one week already.
That means I need to either confess to Amy, or keep it a secret forever.
