A Week Later...

Sara's pov

I wake up to the sound of retching coming from my on suit bathroom "Ava, babe are you alright?" I ask sleep lacing my voice, when no reply comes I get out of bed and trudge to the door when I get their I see my fiancée with her head resting on the toilet, she is pale and has sweat covering her neck,face and back. I look at her "babe, I'll get you a drink of water and then I think you should take the test its been a week since we used the potion a week ago and your showing all the signs of pregnancy and you've missed your period by almost a week" I say to her rubbing her back feeling her sweat soaked clothes. I get up and go to the kitchen where I see the rest of the legends "Hey Captin, is Ava sick again?" Zari asks I nod my head and go to the cupboard and grab a plastic cup out "yeah, I feel so bad this is the third time this week" I state. I go back to my room and go up to ava, she hasn't moved from her position, " hey babe, do you want me to run you a bath it might help ease some of the back pain" I ask her speaking in a soft voice as to not startle her "yes please" Ava rasps out while taking the cup of water out of my hands and sipped it slowly " should I take the test now before having the bath just so we know?" Ava asks me so quiet I think I'm just hearing things "It's up to you babe, if you do it now I'll be here the whole time" I say as I kneel in front of her, Ava nodded and reached for the draw where we had a few pregnancy tests for this exact reason. Ava uses the stick, following the instructions and then we wait for 3 minuets when we go over to the test that we had purposely place out of our line of sight so we weren't stressing over it for the 3 minuets that we had to wait it didn't work though because Ava was freaking out. I walk over the stick just ahead of Ava and I feel my eyes fill with tears "what does it say?" Ava asks her voice was shaky and she looked pale "Its positive" I mutter as I turn to Ava with the test in my hand to show her "oh my god" Ava whispered out over sobs, I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her onto my lap unconsciously placing my hands on her non-existent baby bump. I'm broken out of my thought when I hear Gideon's voice echoing throughout the walls "I'm sorry to interrupt you Miss Lance, Miss Sharpe but Mr. Palmer has something he would like to say, all of the other legends are in the kitchen"" its okay Gideon, inform them that we will be through in a minuet we just have to get dressed" I say and we get of the bathroom floor and get changed I put some jeans and a plain grey tee-shirt and ava puts a pair of sweatpants on and a hoodie, my hair was left down while Ava's was up in a messy bun. we walk into the kitchen and all the other look at us with a small smile I look at them with a questioning look "what's so important Ray and I swear to god that if its that you've done something stupid again I will kick you of the ship!" I warn "yeah like the other 5 times you've threatened me with that one" he pauses "anyway that's beside the point, what's going on Ava's been sick for the past few days and she's been throwing up at anything" "plus we know she not got the flu or something else like that." Ray rambles on "HE'S TRYING TO ASK YOU IF AVA IS PREGNANT!!" yells Nora. I turn towards Ava and she nods at me as if to say that I can tell them, I turn back towards the team "yeah, Ava's pregnant" I say looking them in the eyes. I feel Ava's hand snaking towards my own and I grasp it feeling the shaking that was happening prior was starting to calm and so did her erratic breathing slowed down to its normal pace "Congrats, you guys are going to be great mums" Nora states coming closer for a hug "how far along are you?" asks Zari "I'm somewhere between a week and almost two but I'm not certain" Ava's states calmly although I feel her body tense next to me, I turn to look at her but I noticed she really pale "not this again" I mutter "someone get a cup of water and some toast or something, she hasn't kept much food down her recently" I say and Nora nods and goes to get a cup of water while Zari makes some toast. I rub her back and make her breath to calm herself down I take her hoodie of leaving her in a tank top "your alright" I whisper in her ear when I hear quiet sobs "stupid baby hormones" she says and laughs a bit while saying it "yeah stupid baby hormones" I say repeating what Ava just said, I didn't notice but during the interaction all of the other legends look at us with a mix of emotions playing over their expressions the girls plus mick had looks of awe on their faces while the others look shocked at how soft I was acting " what, have I never been nice to any of you?" I question looking at their faces "yes, but never this nice. you guys will make the best parents ever" Nate states. I smile while making sure that Ava eats something so that she will have the energy to move around a bit plus it will make her feel better and less light headed "do you guys want to have a movie night?" I ask although I do not turn towards them as to not take my eyes of Ava. after a round of agreement I let them decide what movie we are going to watch, they chose Star wars "honestly this doesn't surprise me with the boys but did you let the girls have any choice" I ask but it was less a question and more a joke if anything so we spent the rest of the night with Ava and I sat the opposite end of the sofa to Ray and Nora then Nate and Zari sit on the two seater as we start the movie I feel Ava's breathing even out and fall asleep with her head resting on my chest I pull a blanket over us and watch the movie with y hands resting on her still flat bump...
