[Proto Earth]

Located at the bar where Alessandro is currently working part time as a bar keep, Lilia and Shelly were sitting on the counter chair, as Shelly retold what Lilia had told them about Kaido's story. Of course the moment the mystery around Kaido was revealed, both Shelly and Alessandro were shocked to the point that the latter even dropped the tray that he was cleaning.

Luckily for them there were no customers yet in the bar since its business booming time is around at night, after all what Lilia had confessed is something akin to a confidential information.

"Wait! Let me get this clear? That punk Kaido is not a human in this world? How is that possible? Is he a resident inside the dungeon? Cause I can't even make sense of it, much less a thriving species inside the dungeon" Asked by Shelly

"He's not from the dungeon... well technically he did get out of the dungeon when he first came in here, but he is from another world based on what he told me... plushe also admitted that he used the dungeon to get to this place" answered by Lilia

"And you believe that? Are you crazy? How can you say that he's not mental?" Argued by Shelly

"He's not mental, as you can see... he functions properly if his calm" replied by Lilia

"If his calm.... that understatement... no your right, he does seemed crazed about fighting when he's agaisnt strong enemies... we've seen that first hand, in fact the whole city seen it first hand in the unranked dungeon.... but what he claims is still mental"

"I told you he's not"

"Why are you defending him?"

"Because Sys backs up my claim"

"Sys? The system? How can that be?"

"When he told me all of this, I asked the system to do a background check on him, in the end Sys said that he has no record in this world... at that point, I even asked if such a result was an error, however Sys only answered that all people in this world is registered in the system, their existence from birth to death... in that sense if Kaido was actually from this world, he wouldn't be able to escape the systems records, however he was not in this world's residents list... with that Sys gave me a probable answer that he may be a foreigner of this world or from another universe"

"What the!?!?!?! Then how come he can speak our language?"

"Its all due to Sys, with it temporarily integrating with Kaido using split thought, he was able to convert Kaido into a native of this world through covering up his own details  and records"

After hearing that Shelly once more slump down on her seat, as she asked for a grape juice from Alessandro, who seemed intrigue by the reveal.

"Alright! Since you've got everything covered, riddle me this genius! If he's from another world just like you claim, how did he get here?" Asked by Shelly

"Yeah! I'm quite curious about that too" added by Alessandro

"Well I also inquired that to Kaido, all je said was, he was brought into this world by a mere accident when he got sucked in by a crack between space, which caused his uninvited arrival into our world... of course when I heard that, I then also studied and investigated why would he go to our world through the dungeon just like he claims, and the end result I found is truly shocking"

"Well I had my suspicion, just like what the researchers and scientist in our world questions... like is the dungeon really just a dungeon?"

"What do you mean?" Asked by Alessandro

"Well hear me out! Many theorist wonder whether the dungeon we enter are just dungeon itself, caus if it was... it doesn't explain why there was an ecosystem inside the dungeon and at some chances we encounter intelligent lifeforms inside the dungeon.... if it was just simply a dungeon, then giving intelligence to monsters residing within them is kind of a waste of resources"

"She's right, what's use is intelligence if their existence is just a 1 time thing... if I have more resources to spare, I would use it to make traps inside the dungeon" said by Alessandro

"Well we can't actually say we can predict what a dungeon actually do with their own resources, I mean the dungeon doesn't think like a human do" said by Shelly

"Actually there is no need what the dungeon do inside their dungeon, because there is nothing to think about it" answered by Lilia

"Huh? What do you mean?" Asked by Shelly

"I asked this thought with Sys, I asked whether they create the dungeon... all they answered was 'why would we create something that is already made'"

"Huh!!?!?!" Reacted by Shelly as if she heard something unexpected

"Surprising right? It said "something already made" meaning they weren't the one who created the dungeon but rather the one who makes a space for it to manifest"

"Since the system doesn't actually make the dungeons but rather the one who create a space for the player's use, then that means all the places we had entered as a dungeon, isnt really a dungeon but an actual place in another world"

"So the big question here is, how did Kaido get to this world? Well based on my research, the dungeon is connected from one space after another, which brought him into this world... since dungeons are highly connected woth each other through space, the moment kaido was dragged between space, he actually accidentally dropped here due to tear in between space being used... but a sinole tear in space isn't the only thing that made him go to this world"

"The twilight zone!"

The twilight zone, is a zone in which occurs during a specific time of the day. During this time the border between time and space thins in between worlds thins, causing many paranormal events to happen, one of those are the cases of missing people, time traveling, foresight, and many more.

Naturally the twilight zone effect only happens when the sun was at the highest point of sunset which divided both night and day. However with the existence of the dungeons, this twilight effect that only happens during the highest point of sunset, become non exclusive and now can be done inside the dungeon as long as it still is active.

"I always knew that dungeons are like space that separates two worlds or alike, I just never expected it to be able to invite foreign entity through it... but if Kaido a human can pass through it, wouldn't the other creature also be able to pass through it through that exploit?" Asked by Lilia

"What are you talking about? Who are you describing?" Asked by Shelly

"You know.... outergods, great old ones, and etc." Answered by Lilia

"Huh? Those bunch of fictional beings? They are not real Lilia, grow up"

"Well having a dungeon is already a fictional experience, at this point there is literally no limit to what fiction can do" said by Alessandro

"Why are you supporting her? Whose side are you on?" Pointed out by Shelly as she glared at Alessandro

"I'm being neutral, plus that's just my thoughts" replied by Alessandro

Hearing his words, Shelly sigh for a bit, as she turned towards Lilia and said.

"Let's put that aside..."

While the talk between Lilia and her fired were going on. This time Kaido didn't brought them to a beautiful tourist attract which was breathtaking. At this moment he is currently on a lake where fishing was allowed. Since fishing was allowed, Kaido made everyone join in the fun while gaining time to further discuss stuff in between.

Fishing is the activity of trying to catch fish. Fish are often caught as wildlife from the natural environment (fresh water or marine), but may also be caught from stocked bodies of water such as ponds, canals, park wetlands and reservoirs. Fishing techniques include hand-gathering, spearing, netting, angling, shooting and trapping, as well as more destructive and often illegal techniques such as electrocution, blasting and poisoning.

What's more, through fishing, one would be able to learn the technique patience.

Time passed about 2 hours has passed by, as all of them were trying to fish on the lake. In comparison to Belial who seemed to have maxed out his luck Stat in fishing, the rest of the guys couldn't help but look at belial with jealousy

In that moment using the chance to actually talk with one another, Aileen snudge closer to Kaido as she starts of conversation.

"So you said that those mercenary guys is hunting you down? When do you expect them to arrive?"

"Honestly? I don't... expect them, however I am staying in my toes"

"Thats a good mindset"

The conversation between Kaido and Aileen became quite fruitful. In fact they talked about the some minor details would of late. Unfortunately small talks to end as as such

The Ai of the system is blasted to have quite a performance, causing  a huge audience to come with him. During their talk, Kaido felt that he had talked with the ai alone that he had forgotten about the time as of yet. With such a person.

"You know, Ai is kinda scary right? I mean we already heard of ita potential as is, but we are also clearly Aware of the possibility to resurgence from the ai"

"You watch too much television Kaido, That may be a possibility, may happen too"

"Yeah...."

"Anyway Kaido! How confident are you in taking down the enemy?"

"Confident? About 50-50 I guess"

"50-50? Why not a full 100 %?"

"Well we can't be too sure Aileen, I mean there are a lot of variables in a fight, due to these variables, the victory of a fight may be unclear"

Fights often involve individuals who are not trained in combat sports or self-defense. Without proper training, participants are more likely to throw wild, uncontrolled punches and kicks, increasing the risk of serious injury. Broken bones, concussions, internal injuries, and even death can result from street fights. Fights lack any form of regulation or supervision. There are no rules, referees, or medical personnel present to ensure the safety of the participants. This can result in fights spiraling out of control, with no one to intervene and prevent serious harm.

Fights are dangerous due to the high risk of serious injury, the potential presence of weapons, the lack of regulation, legal consequences, and the psychological impact they can have on those involved.

"I see variables, does us getting involved a variable too?"

"Maybe... you never truly know right?"

"Yeah!"

As Aileen and Kaido talked about this thing, Belial on the other hand seemed to be troubled, as he was struggling on his line as he tried his hardest to pull it to shore. Seemingly his luck for fishing was an all time high, Belial is the only person who cam catch a lot of fish without even trying, simply luck.

Unknown to Kaido, luck is also a type of variable that can be used to change the tide of a fight.

However the longer Kaidk see Belial struggle on his line, the more he gets worried, as he can clearly see Belial's line getting fully bent, as the thing that gets caught in Belials line seemed to not want to even give up on being caught, it was fighting back.

Upon noticing that, Kaido used his pyschic barrier unto the fishing line and pole, as he helped Belial prevent his pole to be fully broken due to its force. On the other hand, Aileen also felt troubled as she went over to Belials side and begun pulling together with him.

Naturally this wasn't easy at all, as catching a fish needed a controlled strength and not full strength.

"You know, I just noticed... we don't have much peaceful time like this back in your world"

"Peace is a luxury for us, that is the reason why I pulled myself away from anyone I know back in Japan and have my records there sweep clean... I'm just afraid that they might use my parents and my past acquaintance as a hostage... for a vigilante like villain like me, I have a lot of weaknesses"

"You do... in fact you don't even feel like a villain, but more like a hero, after all you don't simply destroy things in random... plus you don't seek world domination nor destruction"

"Why would I do that? I still live on earth, so why would I destroy the place I grew up in?"

"I don't know, but your world is a really fucked up world... its really quite adamant on getting rid of people like you or better yet use you"

"I know right? That's why I hate that world but I also love it at the same time... I don't destroy based on instincts, if I want to ensue destruction, there must be a cause... I'm not a mindless monster, I can think logically fine"

After that Kaido went silent for a bit before he looked at the ground and muttered.

"You know, even if it was my choice to separate myself from them, I really do miss them"

"Thats nostalgia for you"

With that, both Kaido and the rest continued on their activity until the sun was about to set. Once the sky was slowly turning dark, Kaido and the rest packed up their stuff and headed back to the places where they return too.

It didn't take long for them to reach Lilia's house, but just how fast they can go in barefoot, they were able to arrive at the person's house in just a matter of 30 minutes. However just before Kaido could split away from Argos and the others, he then saw Lilia by the door looking grim, as she held on her hand a letter which seemed to contain something that Lilia find disturbing.

Sneakily looking at the content of the letter,  Lilia noticed Kaido's presence as turned to him in a worried look and hesitantly gave him the paper.

Apparently the letter itself contains a message which provokes him from going to the designated location. There was nothing much on the letter, however the sender clearly stated one thing that Kaido can't ignore "Let's end this". With this word, it literally implies that it wanted to end things between him and the mercenary group.

Since the enemy wanted to put a conclusion in this I'll fated relationship between the hunter and the prey, Kaido had no reason to refuse as he also got sick of the enemy. Now as long as he could gather all the members of the group, he would be able to do something against it and somewhat finish this off without expending unnecessary energy.

"Kaido this is..."

"They want to end it"

"Are you planning to accept it?"

"There's no reason to reject it right?"

"It might be a trap"

"I know, but do you really think a trap can hold me down?"

After showed her concern to Kaido, the latter then turn around to face the gate as he plans to regroup with his own group to face the enemy. Upon seeing his intention, Lilia quickly blocked his path as she beguns to question his sanity.

"Where are you going now? Are you crazy? Didn't you hear me? I said it might be a trap, so why are you still heading there... plus why are you going there now in the dusk of the night, we need to talk this through first with the others and come up with a plan"

"You seem to be mistaken about something here Lilia, in my world this is not a letter for a duel, but rather a taunt to invite me in this place right this very night... its my chance to end this once and for all"

"But... this is too dangerous Kaido"

"I know it's dangerous, but have you ever seen me cower? No right? After all I learned to face my fears and problems head on, no one can solve my problem better than me"

As Kaido said that he then brushed past Lilia, as the latter tried to convince him once more.

"Kaido! We're partners right?"

"....."

"Please trust me in this, I'll find a way for us to take down the enemy without unnecessary sacrifice"

"As much as that can comfort me, unfortunately I can't agree... Lilia! I'll be real with you okay? Your weak, you may have the potential and talent to be strongest as you are now, you are weak... look you can't even take care of one esper, how can you expect to stand against a group? You may be my current partner Lilia, but that's it... this is my problem, it's only right that these should be resolved between residents of another world"

At that Kaido walked put of the gate and informed Argos and the rest to get ready to face the enemy. Without much hesitation, the rest naturally followed him as they all disappeared into the darkness. This times its kill or be killed situation, non matter what, they need to kill their pursuers in order for them to return safely without anyone noticing their full capacity for combat.

On the other hand when Lilia saw Kaido off while dragging along his group, She couldn't help but grit her teeth in annoyance, as she picked up her phone while trying to contact someone. At that moment, Lilia couldn't be help but be full fo worry, after all she is afraid that thos will be the last time he saw, Kaido, no matter what he need to survive.

At long last there will be conclusion, flesh vs flesh, strength vs strength, person agaisnt a person. In this case only one of them would be left alive.
