By the time Ash got Eiji to his safe house, Eiji took off his coat as he hanged it up as he looks at Ash.

"So, did I miss anything special?"

"Eh, I have a family now."

"YOU WHAT?!"

Eiji turns around quickly as he looks at Ash as Ash was trying to stifle his laughter. But then he broke out into laughter. Eiji pouts as he gently nudges his shoulder.

"I thought you were serious!"

"The fact that you thought I was is something else Eiji! You know my line of work, you know what I do, as if I can afford a wife and a kid."

Eiji sighs as he looks at Ash.

"Yeah..Well.. everyone is alive I assume?"

"Yeah because I'm that great of a leader. Now. What about you Eiji?"

"Me? Ah well..after everything that occurred here, I actually graduated and since the study abroad here was kind of..well..interesting to say the least, they did offer me a contract when I finished college, since they know that I already know you and well, I'll get paid for being in your mess."

Eiji starts to laugh as he chuckles, looking at Eiji.

"I mean I can pay you double of whatever the police is paying you."

"Ash, no. I'm fine with what I have. Besides, being around you is good enough for me."

Ash nods his head as he points to the small kitchen that he has.

"You can be a mini chef in there if you like. I'll..take a nap."

Eiji smiles as he nods his head as he walks to the kitchen as Ash gets up, walking to his room as he flops over onto the bed as he covers his face, many thoughts running through his head. Why not stay in Japan where it's safe for him? Why come back to him? Does he need something from him? No, they're friends, he never once asked for anything in return. So..Why did he find him after all this time? He grabbed at his pillow as he held onto it, as he buries his face into it, as he slowly fell asleep, still having those thoughts running through his head.

~Time skip to 30 minutes later~

He snorts a bit, as he felt somebody shake him a bit. He peeks up his head, ready to murder whoever thought it was a bright idea to wake him up. But his look soften once he saw it was Eiji with his soft smile as he whispers to him,

"Food is ready, come on."

Ash yawns as he nods his head, falling back to sleep as Eiji blinks, sitting down on his bed as he shakes him once more. Ash yawns as he grabs at his arm, pulling him down with him, holding onto him as he was on the verge of sleeping once more as Eiji blinks. He sighs as he pets him gently. Ash held his breath as he then slowly released it, only knowing that it was just Eiji, nobody else. He sighs as he held onto Eiji tighter as Eiji stayed awake, looking around for any potential threats as Ash would. Ash mumbles,

"What did you make?"

"Can't say until you get up."

"Why are you like this Eiji..?"

"Because you need to eat, you look a bit thinner then the last time I saw you."

"Because there's no time for that."

"Yes there is. Now go eat."

"...Carry me there."

"...Why?"

"Lazy."

Eiji sighs as he gets up as he picks up Ash, as he does feel a bit lighter then before, as he then walked to the living room where the food was set out as he puts him on the couch. Ash opened up one eye as he looks at it, quickly gathering everything in the room with his one eye open as he then focused once more on the food as he started to eat it. Eiji sits down next to him as he smiles.

"I'll keep an eye on everything here Ash. You just focus on eating."

Ash nods his head as he continues as Eiji was keeping an eye out on everything. Of course Kong and Bones were there but they were silent as they just looked at each other, nodding their head to each other, having one thought in mind.

"Who's proposing to who?"
