Tamaki jumped out of his limo in front of the pension and opened his trunk. Tamaki had left to get a suitcase and come back, and now he's getting the bag out of the limo. He shut the trunk and waved the driver off. When the limo was out of sight, Tamaki turned towards you with a  bright smile on his face.

   " Thanks for letting me stay with you. "

   " Don't mention it. You worked hard today for those refresher points. Especially for someone who held a hammer for the first time today. "

   " I'm proud of my work. "

   " You should be. I'll show you where the rooms at. Have you already had dinner? "

   " I haven't. I skipped dinner so we could eat together in the dining area. "

   " I'm afraid they're closed, Tamaki. "

   " What!? "

   " Yeah, they closed an hour ago. It is ten o'clock. "

   " Oh..."

   " I have some snacks that we can share up in the room. That'll have to be our dinner, I guess. "

   " Yay! "

I started walking away from the road and towards the pension with Tamaki following behind me. Before I could open the front door, he ran to the door and opened it for me. 

   " Thank you. "

   " You're welcome, princess! "

I walked inside, and Tamaki shut the door behind us as we came in. We went up the stairs, and I walked across the walkway to my room.  When I reached my door, I pulled the key out of my pocket and unlocked the door. I walked inside and then let Tamaki come inside. 

   " You can set your bags down by the bed. I'm going to grab some snacks. "

   " Alrighty then. "

I walked to the nightstand and opened the compartment; the snacks I had were pushed forward as I pulled the drawer open. I grabbed a few things and shut the drawer. I turned towards Tamaki, who was sitting on the bed, and handed him two of the four bags I grabbed. 

   " We can share them. You open those two and I'll open these. We can sit down and talk while we eat, or something. "

   " Sounds nice. Is this what commoners do? "

   " This is what all people do Tamaki, now open the bags. "

He took the bags from me, and I sat down on the bed. The sheets were soft underneath my legs, and I felt comfortable as I leaned against the headboard. I opened the two bags I held and sat them in between Tamaki and myself. Tamaki sat with his legs crossed and facing me. He set the bags in front of me, and I started snacking on them. 

   " So, do you want to talk? Play a word game? "

   " How about we play a talking game? "

   " A talking game? "

    " Yeah, its called truth or truth. "

   " That's basically just asking each other questions. "

   " I know! Wanna play? "

   " Sure. "

   " I'll go first! What is your favorite color? "

   " F/c. Dogs or cats? "

   " Dogs. Nekozawa has kept me from liking cats because of his puppet. "

   " It's not real you know. "

   " But his magic is! Anyway, who's your favorite host? "

   " Umm Haruhi. "

   " What about me!? "

   " Tamaki, you're cool but Haruhi and I are really close. "

   " Then what are we, princess? "

   " Um...good friends? "

   ' Does this mean she doesn't have the same feelings for me? ' Tamaki thought.

   " Anyway, what is your favorite dessert, Tamaki? "

   " Poire belle Hélène. It's a very elegant french dessert. "

   " I'll remember that. "

   " Next question! Do you have someone you like? "

   " What kind of question is that? Why do you want to know? "

   " Answer the question and say the truth, don't beat around the bush. "

   " Yes. "

   " Yes? "

   " Yes, there is someone I like. Can we move on? "

   " Who is it? "

   " It's not your turn Tamaki. "

   " Please tell me who it is! I must know who this man, or woman, is! "

Tamaki wasn't sitting anymore. In fact, he was leaning towards me on his hands. I could see the determination in his purple eyes, and I knew he wouldn't back down from this question without me answering. 

   " A person. "

   " But who? 

   " A guy. "

   " And who is this man? "

   " Why do you want to know? "

   " Because I have to see if he's good enough for you! "

To you, it felt like Tamaki was being bold and very persistent, but Tamaki's heart was beating really fast, and he was trying not to blurt anything embarrassing out. He was really trying to be confident and find out if you held any sort of feelings for him. He knew he had fallen in love with you. He knew ever since he saw you at the cherry blossom trees with Kyoya. His heart was beating fast that day, and it was beating even faster now. He had to know if this person was him or someone else. 

   " Tamaki, you're not my father. You don't need to know. "

Now you were questioning why it was so hard for you to admit you liked him. He was right here in front of you, and it was a good opportunity, so why were you not doing it?

   ' Why can't I just tell him? '

Then, it hit you like a brick wall why you felt uncomfortable telling him. Because there was a small voice in your head telling you that he only acted kind and loving towards you because that's who he was. 

   ' Tamaki is a caring person. He cares about everyone and he was just treating me the same way, right? Screw this, I'm gonna tell him and if I get rejected I can just go get some icecream back home. '

   " I do need to know because I love you! "

   " ... "

   " ... "

   ' He beat me to it. '

It was silent as the air around the room stilled. Tamaki's face was red, and his confidence wore out as his face was now like a tomato, and his eyes were wide. He put his head down and sat back down on the bed. His blonde hair covered his eyes, and a small disappointed smile found his mouth.

   " I-I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that. But you needed to know. I love you, Y/n and I have for a little bit. You just make my heart beat so fast and I feel so calm and relaxed around you. I've never had the perfect family, but you make me feel loved. Whenever I see you upset or in pain it hurts my heart and all I want to do is make you smile that beautiful smile you have. Your eyes brighten so much when you're doing what you love and your smile puts the sun to shame. You care about me and make me smile. Even in my sad moments, you make me smile. I love you, Y/n, very very much. "

Now it was your turn to be embarrassed. Your face turned red, and you couldn't hide the blush that appeared on your cheeks. 

   ' Well, I guess it's my turn. '

   " Tamaki..."

   " Yes, princess? "

   " I like you too, Tamaki. A lot. "

   " Really!? "

   " Yeah, I do. You're always so caring and whenever you see danger you always make sure I'm okay. No matter what the danger is, you make sure I'm okay and safe. You go out of your way to make me smile and laugh. You always have cared about me and whenever Gen was first brought into the hospital you came and visited me and made me smile. You understood my situation and didn't judge me and you're even making sure I'm never alone at home by coming over or calling me a lot. Tamaki, I really like you. "

Tamaki's face was taken over by a smile, and the red in his cheeks died down. 

   " My princess! "

He jumped at you and hugged you close to him. He pulled you down to lay on the bed, and he hugged you to his chest. The smile on his face didn't seem to be leaving anytime soon.

   " You've made me the happiest man in the world, princess! "

   " W-Well, what do we do now? "

   " Oh, that's right. Y/n would you be my girlfriend? "

   " No first date or anything? I'm just your girlfriend? "

   " I'm still going to take you on dates! I'll buy you plenty of gifts, shower you in love-"

   " Slow down! "

   " So? " Tamaki asked with a smile.

   " Yes, Tamaki. I'll be your girlfriend. "

   " Yes! "

He hugged you to him and rested his chin on your head. You smiled and hugged him back, feeling warm in his embrace. The hug was warming and comfortable that it made you tired quickly. 

   " Go, to sleep my princess. I'll be here to protect you. "

   " Becasue you're y prince. "

   " Exactly. "
