You groaned when you sat up in the bed. The pounding in your head had stopped, but it felt like you had woken up from a very deep slumber. Your stomach ached for food. You rubbed your head and didn't want to open your eyes. A soft hand was placed on your shoulder, and it was then that you decided to open your eyes. When you did, you saw that you were in the nurse's office and the nurse was gone. Beside you, sitting in a chair, was Tamaki Suho.

   " Tamaki? Did I pass out? "

   " Yeah, you did. Kyoya said you were exhausted and stressed. "

   " Well, he got that right. I had to keep running to and from the host club to get outside. Along with classes, it stressed me out. No wonder my head hurt so badly. "

   " He also said that you were deprived of food and water. "

   " Did he? "

You looked to Tamaki, and you noticed there was no joking in his eyes. The scene was serious, and he wasn't smiling. In fact, his smile was gone and replaced with a  frown, and his eyes were stern. His arms were crossed, and he looked at you, waiting for answers.

   " Y/n are you starving yourself? "

   " No. "

   " Are you being starved? "

   " No. "

   " Do you have a good family lif-"

   " Tamaki stop. "

Tamaki stopped talking, but he remained stern.

   " I just missed breakfast because I was going to be late. I missed lunch because I was too busy making food for Renge and the crew. Alright? I'm fine I just need to eat. "

   " You promise? "

You looked up at Tamaki, and he held out his pinky towards you. You just looked at him and back at the pinky. You put your hand over his and lowered it.

   " Tamaki, please you're overreacting-"

   " Good! You're awake! "

The nurse walked in, and she set her clipboard down. She handed you some pills and walked back towards her desk.

   " Take that if you get another bad headache. When Mr. Suho came in here with you in his arms I knew you just needed rest but when I told him to leave he wouldn't leave my office. He took one of the chairs and set it by your bed and stayed there, missing his classes. He wouldn't budge from the chair. "

You looked at Tamaki and saw that he was blushing and back to his goofy self. You turned back to the nurse and thanked her. She gave you both notes and dismissed you from her office. You both stood in the hallway, not sure of what to do. 

   " I think we had some extra food that the crew members didn't eat. It's in the host club room, let's go get something to eat. "

You nodded and followed him. He walked by your side, and his eyes never left you. The talking was saved for when you got food. When you arrived at the doors of the host club, Tamaki opened them for you. 

   " Thank you, Tamaki. "

You entered the host club room and saw many desserts. You ran to the table that was filled with them and grabbed a fork. Tamaki smiled, seeing you enjoy your desserts. He walked further into the room and sat beside you.

   " I never thanked you for getting me to the nurse's office. Thank you, Tamaki. You really didn't have to stay there the whole time though. I'm sure the nurse could have taken care of me. "

   " I know, but it's a prince's duty to make sure his princess is safe and healthy. "

   " Tamaki...I'm not your-"

   " I know. You're not my guest. You've said it before, but the nickname ' princess' has a different meaning when it comes to you. "

   " Why? "

   " Because I'm your prince. You've got the host club behind you as well as myself. Not everyone can have that. "

You just continued eating your desserts and filling up your stomach. You chatted with Tamaki and seemed to have a normal conversation with him. He would say 'princess' here and there, but you left that alone. You just wanted to talk about anything.

   " Y/n, now that I think about it you never pinky promised me. "

   " What? "

He held out his pinky to you and revealed his puppy eyes. You could only giggle and let your pinky wrap around his. He smiled and hugged you in your seats. But you pulled away and started eating another type of dessert that was on the table.

   " Y/n, do you have any siblings? "

   " No, I'm an only child. "

   " So am I! We have that in common! "

   " I would have thought you had a little sister or brother. You seem like you would be good with kids. "

   " I do like children, but sadly no. I was not blessed with a sibling. What about your parents? What do they do? They must have great jobs to get you into this private school. "

You felt a lump in your throat, but you swallowed it and came up with a lie. The fake smile you held for years came to your face, and you were prepared to lie to the prince.

   " My parents are highly skilled dentists and they work in the food chain. "

Tamaki could see it. He had done it millions of times, so it was easy for him to see it on your face. The fake smile. He could see how you lied through your teeth and smiled at him to make him believe you were fine. 

   " I never heard of the famous L/n dentist around here though. "

   " They're in America right now. They do most of their work in the states. I g-gotta go. Class is going to start at any moment now and I want to at least finish my schooling today. "

You grabbed your bag and walked out of the host club room. You walked to your next class, convinced that he believed you. When really, it was the opposite. He confirmed it. You were lying, and he knew because of the small stutter and how you wanted to get to class. His heart cracked knowing you lied to him. Knowing that you didn't tell him what was wrong.
