A Casual Visit

You sat up in your bed and rubbed your eyes. It was Sunday, and you could relax today instead of worrying over school and homework. You got up, and as soon as you did, Gen walked into the room.

   " Good morning Gen. "

" Good morning my lady. You've gotten up before I could even come and get you. "

" The early bird catches the worm. I don't have anything on my schedule right? "

" That's right. The chiefs in the kitchen have already prepared your breakfast as well. "

" Alright, let them know I'll be down in a minute. "

   " I will. "

Gen left the room, closing the door behind her. I walked over to my closet and started picking out comfy and casual clothes I could put on for the day. I took a shower and changed into clothes, and dried my hair. When I left the room, the sun was shining through the windows, and the hallway I walked down looked nice for once instead of gloomy.

' I guess I woke up on the right side of the bed this morning. '

I made my way downstairs and into the dining room, seeing the windows open and welcoming the light inside. It looked like a beautiful day outside, and it seemed like it was going to be a good day. Gen brought me my food and smiled at me.

" The workers will be arriving soon to join you. I'll be sitting here, next to you. "

   " Thanks, Gen. "

As she left, I noticed a few of the workers coming out and sitting at the table with me. I smiled at seeing them. Usually, they would join me for meals on weekends since I have no one else to enjoy the morning with. They all sat down, and true to her word Gen sat right beside me as we all chatted and laughed with each other. I didn't feel alone this morning. After everyone was finished, a few asked to be dismissed for a few days to see their families, and I told them they could go. It was only me in this big house, so a lot of the maids, butlers, and staff would sit around and do what they wished.

   ' I think I'll go take a walk. It's a beautiful morning. '

I stood from the table and walked to the front door, and I walked outside. The wind was cool as it pushed against me, and the smile on my face became one of calmness. I put my hands in my pockets and started taking a walk on the sidewalk around the neighborhood. The morning was nice, and I couldn't complain about anything in the world right now.

' This is such a nice morning. I wish it could just stay like this forever. '

But sadly, the wish didn't come true.

( Time Skip )

You sat in the library reading a book as the TV played in front of you. You didn't really care about what was on; you just wanted some type of noise to fill the air. It was peaceful.

" My lady. You have some guests downstairs waiting for you. "

   ' Guests? '

You set your book down and walked out of the library. Gen sat on the couch and watched the TV as you walked to the main room. When you reached the entrance to the manor, you could see the host club standing in the entryway.

" Now listen up, men. Don't you forget! We must be polite! This is a casual visit. Do not judge Y/n's lifestyle. "

   " Right! "

" What are you guys doing here? " I asked them.

They all turned towards me. They didn't say anything until I stepped a bit closer and Tamaki jumped on me to give me a hug.

" My princess! We just wanted to see where you lived and what it was like! "

Tamaki's hug was tight, but you knew that if you pushed him off, he would start growing mushrooms somewhere in the house. So, you let him cling to you.

   " Why? "

" Can't we visit our little baker? "

   " But, just why? "

" Don't worry, Y/n. They did this to me last week. The only advice I can give you is to just roll with it. " Haruhi said.

" Well, I guess welcome to my home. "

" It's a very nice house Y/n~Chan! " Honey cheered, standing beside Mori, who held no expression.

   " Ours is bigger. "

" Yeah, but we don't have that styled couch over there. " The twins whispered to each other, but not softly enough.

" You idiots, she just welcomed us into her home! Don't start judging her! " Tamaki shouted at them, leaving the hug he had put me in.

Kyoya walked up to me and patted my shoulder. I looked up and nodded at him. When everyone else calmed down, they all wanted a tour of the manor. I decided that I would show them around; it's not like there was anything else to do today but sit in the library and read. I showed them around the house, and Tamaki stayed by my side while the others were behind us. He admired a lot of things I had in the house. He would always compliment something in every room.

   " So, Y/n-"

   " where's your room? "

" Why do you two want to see my room? "

" We're just curious what it will look like. "

" Well, you won't get to see it. I'm not showing that to you due to my privacy. "

   " Awwww. "

" You shady twins leave her alone! "

   " Y/n~Chan is this you? "

I looked back to Honey and saw him pointing at a painting. It was the painting of my mother and father with me in my mother's lap.

   " Yeah, that's when I was younger. "

" Are those your parents? "

" They look so happy. " The twins said, looking up at the painting now.

" Yes, those are my parents. "

I looked at Kyoya and saw his eyes travel to mine. He knew that I wasn't comfortable sharing my story with anyone yet.

" Where are they, princess? I want to meet the people who brought you into this world. " Tamaki asked.

" They're out right now. They are on a trip. "

   " A trip? "

" Yeah. They will be gone for a bit. "

   " So, you're all alone here!? "

   " Yeah, what's wrong with that? "

" You shouldn't be alone! What if something happens to you and you were taken because there was no one around to help? You can't stay here all by yourself! "

" Tamaki, I'll be fine. I'm still alive right now, so I think it's okay. "

   " But-"

   " Just don't worry about it. "

You showed them around the house, and when you decided it was time for them to go, you escorted them out of the house. Everyone waved goodbye to you, but Tamaki stayed behind.

" Princess, are you sure you'll be alright here alone? "

   " I'll be fine Tamaki. "

" You never told me about what you and Kyoya talked about, you know. You said you would tell me later. "

" I will when the time is right. "

Just thinking about your parents and your past brought small tears to your eyes, but you hid them behind a smile.

" I'll see you at school. Bye, Tamaki. "

There it was. He noticed it again. Tamaki stood in front of your closed door, wondering why you showed him fake smiles. Every time you were at the host club, you would smile, and it would be genuine, but when the mention of your parents came up, he noticed that you were giving him smiles that were fake. He could see the hurt behind your eyes.

   ' Something's wrong with her family. Isn't there? '
