1½ years later

The celebrations were in full swing.....
People dancing, smiling faces, everyone busy with all the arrangements....... The house buzzed with people, kids ran around playing....

Two people sat on the stage, their eyes glistening with happiness, their faces brighter than ever before, dreaming of how their 'jaans' would look.......

It was the day they all had been waiting for!!!

After the success of the mission, this was something to be celebrated......

Far away from all this celebration in one of the rooms of the big home, Monami sat on her dressing table getting ready for the function!!! She couldn't help but think how that one mission changed her life forever, no she didn't lose herself that day, infact she felt reborn, renewed, changed, diffrent......

She started looking at life differently and maybe that's why she was so happy today!!!!

A knock on the door broke her trance, she turned and saw Sanju looking as heavenly in her attire....

"Hum andar toh aa sakto hain na Monami", She asked being a little doubtful....

"Tum mere paas, yahan mere kamre mein kabhi bhi aa sakti ho Sanju, Tumhe puchne ki zarurat nahin hain", Monami broke into a heartwarming smile as she invited her in...

Sanju settled herself on Monami's bed and Monami turned her chair towards her.....

"Hum thank you kehna chahto hain Monami, sirf uss din ke liye nahin, har uss baar ke liye jab tune hame himmat di aage badhne ke laane. Aur sabse zyaada dhanyawad toh uss din ke liye aur sorry bhi bol rahi hain, humne tumao laane unn kadvi baaton ko na bole the, hum toh bas Siddharth- ko uss haal mein-", Monami hugged her and shushed her as she broke into tears holding Monami tightly.....

The day was really a nightmare for everyone, with Everyone broken around and crying.....

Flashback
At the Academy

Sanju entered the communication room to see if there was any new message from the team, when she heard the receiver beeping, She ran and picked it up and the message she heard brought horror to her ears..... The receiver fell off her hands to the ground and She fell with a thud to the floor......

Karan who was passing by saw her and immediately rushed to her,
"Sanju hua kya hain, bataa mujhe". Faizi entered the room in search of Karan and immediately picked up the fallen receiver and heard the message..... His ears didn't believe it for a second....... But he was compelled to believe it, afterall it was Koel's voice and she hated to joke about such stuff"........

Sanju was in no sense of answering it was as if her entire world came crashing down to the floor within split seconds, her eyes watered and tears tried to flow out but they didn't, She didn't speak, she looked up at Karan who stared at her in confusion, He knew something was wrong but couldn't quite place what went wrong.

He looked up and saw Faizi, "Faizi! Tu toh bataa de hua kya hain",

"Karan, Sid.... Siddharth has been......",

"Ab bakega bhi ya nahin", Karan shouted.........

"Siddharth has been hit sirji", Karan shifted his gaze to the croaky voice that came from near him. His eyes widened with horror but his mind was devastated to even think what Sanju would be going through, she burat into tears and he hugged her and controlled his emotions.......

Once Sanju was stable Karan, Faizi and she left with the airlift team towards the destination. They airlifted Sid's body and took it to the hospital. City Hospital, Mumbai was the nearest and fastest so they took him there. Sanju didn't leave Sid's side all through the journey, she kept talking to him, "Oye chirkut bohot hogaya ab uth jaa tu warna hum tujhe hamao boxing gloves lekar waise hi peetenge jaise Teri swagat ki thi academy mein pehli baar, uth jaa na. Kahe tu aise boronte harkat karto hain, hamne kaha tho na ki tu khud ka khayal rakhega lekin nahi tu toh apni chirkutayi se baaz na aato hain, uth na kitna bhau khaega tu", the reached the hospital and Sid was immediately dragged into the OT........

Outside the OT
Everyone was broken, Koel kept crying, Faizi grew impatient by the minute, Karan's heart raced on how Baby and Nikhil would react knowing about this, they had become very close to Sid after the academy and now Karan's hands trembled to share the information with them....

Sanju on the other hand was inconsolable, She didn't stop crying and screaming Sid's name, she got up multiple times just to see through the tiny windows on the OT doors.... She didn't stop crying, and wailing. For her Sid had become her whole world and it seemed as if this world was now destroyed...... She didn't drink a sip of water, nor eat anything......

Monami didn't react an inch, it was as if she had forgotten how to emote...... Despite training to be a commando, Monami never hid her emotions from her loved ones but today she didn't express a bit.... Seeing Sanju in that state she knew it would be bad for her health, with lots of efforts Monami somehow managed to feed her and put her to sleep. Sanju laid on Koel's shoulders while Koel patted her back and caressed her hair, Monami walked to the cafeteria area to fetch something for the others.......

Karan couldn't bring himself up to inform Sid's Dad, Barkha, and Monami's father, his fingers were trembling and the last time this happened was when he had to tell about Param. Maybe because Sid was now Family......

Monami returned with Sandwiches and Coffees for everyone, she distributed it and gave Karan the last one, No one wanted to believe her when She claimed to have finished eating in the cafeteria while waiting for the parcel orders, but she compelled everyone to believe her, and everyone gave in.

She gave Karan his Sandwich and coffee and wiped his tears of his eyes. Her this act made him realise he was crying. She took his phone called up everyone and informed them quite normally, Avinash and Deepak said they would be arriving immediately, but Monami asked them not to come as it would not be good to crowd the hospital plus Avinash's health was not keeping well coming here would only put him in more tension and they didn't want that.........

When she called Barkha and told her, Barkha said she would pick the kids from school and directly come there but Monami asked her to slow down as it would be difficult for her to travel with the kids, she cut the call and everyone were clearly shocked at her changed behaviour.....

3 hours passed, Sanju got up, but there was no response from the OT, Nurses and ward boys kept walking in and out but all the said was, "Abhi hum kuch bhi nahin keh sakte hain". Sanju looked at Karan, and signed towards Monami, he blinked his eyes and she understood that Monami was still masking her emotions...... Sanju knew she had to do something to Monami or else Monami will die inside....

Sanju walked up to Monami, "Tune hamse vaada kiyo tho Monami, ke tu sab ko sahi salamat wapas ghar laegi, ki thi ya nahin",

Monami looked at Sanju, she stood up and held Sanju's shoulders,"Sanju, Please shanth ho jao, warna tumhari tabiyat kharab ho jaegi".....

Sanju jerked her hands off and shot daggers at her, she pointed finger at her and said, "baat ghumane ki koshish mat karo Monami, tumne kaha tha, vaada liya tha ki tu Siddharth ko aur baaki kisi ko bhi kuch hone na degi, teri aankho ke saamne Chirkut ki yeh haal ho gayi aur tu kuch na kar payi, zindagi mein hamesha usne thare upar bharosa kiyo hain, mujhse pehle tujhpe bharosa kiya hain aur tune uske saath yeh sab hone de diya, Agar aaj chirkut ko kuch bhi hogaya na toh Karan sirji ki lihaaz bhi naa rakhenge hum, hum tujhe zindagi bhar maaf nahin karenge"....

"Sanju yeh tum kya bol rahi ho, Sid ki iss haalat ka Monami kaise zimmedar hogi", Koel blasted back......

"Koel tu hamao beech mein mat aaiyo, aaj koi hamare beech nahin aayega, aur Monami ko dekh ke toh lagto hi nahin hain ki usse Siddharth ke iss halat se kuch bhi matlab ya fark pad rahi hain, hum sab ka yaha tak ki Karan sirji ki halat kharab hain par inn mahodaya se koi pratikriya aa hi na raho hain", Sanju raised her voice and spoke......

"Sanju ab zyada ho raha hain", Karan who was quite till now spoke up.....

"Karan bol ne do usse" Monami said, "Sach hi toh keh rahi hain wo, aaj tak jab bhi mujhe Sid ki zarurat padi hain, wo tha, meri zindagi ke saare difficult phases mein, usne ek saccha dost hone ka farz nibhayi hain aur maine maine aaj jab mauth meri muh khadi thi toh ussne aake meri jagah leli aur mein dekhte reh gayi" Tears slowly started rolling down her eyes, Sanju smiled as Monami was finally reacting, "Ek baar bhi aisa nahin gaya ki Mujhe taklif hui ho aur wo mere saath na roya ho, Mujhe khushi hui ho aur wo mere saath khush na hua ho, Chot lagti mujhe, aansu uske nikal jaate, ek bhai se bhi zyaada Sid ne meri taraf apna farz nibhaya hain, maine SAF join kiya toh wo mere saath aaya, koi problem hui toh wo mera solution bana aur saare training aur missions ke wakt mujhe support kiya, aur maine usse aise hi chhod diya marne chhod diya maine usse".

Monami had started crying a lot now, Sanju had the urge to hug her tightly and tell her it's not her it's not her fault but she knew Monami had to let it out......

Karan desperately wanted to tell Monami that it happens and it's not her fault but he stopped himself with all his might....

Koel couldn't see it anymore, she got up to go and console Monami but Faizi held her back and said, "Yeh zarurat hain Koel, usse apni bhadaas nikalne do please", Koel nodded reluctantly and sat down on back on her seat....

"Sid bachpan se mere saath raha hain aur jab usse meri zarurat Hui toh main piche hat gayi, bohot buri hu main, aaj uss Bilal ne mere aankhon ke saamne mere Sid, mere bro, mere best friend ko chot pohonchayi aur main kuch nahin kar payi, I stood there helpless and saw the place blasting",

Monami started slapping her face, "Main bohot buri hoon main, bohot buri hu, ek baar bhi maine Sid ko bachane ki koshish nahin ki, infact maine kuch nahin kiya main bas waha khadi thi ek stupid ki tarah".

Sanju engulfed Monami into a tight hug, Monami continued to cry, while repeating, "Main bohot buri hu" continuously, Sanju patted her back, "Chup! Chup reh tu, Kuch na kiyo hain tune. Hame toh bas dar lagne laga tha ki tu kuch bhi na bol rahi thi, Isiliye hamne tereko bhadkaya, tu aise tut jayegi toh Siddharth ko kon sambhalega, main agar uski zindagi hu toh tu uski dhadkan hain, tu hain toh Siddharth, Sid rehta hain, vaada kar ru abse zindagi mein kabhi bhi aise na bolegi, aur hum maafi chahto hain ki hamne tujhse yeh sab kaha, hamara koi iraada na tha tujhe bura mehsoos karwane ki, han toh bas chahte the ki tu kuch toh bole, hame bas dar lag raha tha aur hame aur kuch na sujha isiliye hamne--"

"I'm sorry Sanju maine apna promise toda, I'm sorry",

"Nahin Monami, ab hame Siddharth ke liye khush rehna hain aur rone se kuch nahin hoga, Hame Siddharth ke liye Majboot rehna hoga"

"Haan, Sanju agar wo ziddi hain toh hum bhi unke best friend aur girlfriend hain itni asaani se nahin chodenge usse", Sanju chuckled hearing Monami's words, Sanju wiped Monami's tears and She wiped Sanju's tears, everyone else adored their bond and then they all joined in for a group hug......

6 hours had passed since Sid was taken to the OT, and finally a doctor came out of the OT, "Operation Successful tha lekin patient ko hosh aane mein abhi thoda wakt lagega, unke peeth ki chot kaafi gehri thi, but luckily, unke brain ya nerves par iska koi asar nahi pada, hosh aane ke baad hum unhe observation mein rakhenge 2 hafton ke liye phir your free to take him home....".

Everyone heaved a sigh of relief, Barkha arrived with the kids and came to know that everything was under control now. Everyone came to know Monami had not eaten and was just joking so Nikhil and Baby took it as their responsibility to feed her, they made her and Sanju sit down, wiped their tears and Nikhil fed them the sandwich while Baby explained to them that not eating will not help in anyway, infact it would make Sid bro sad!!!!

They really were way ahead of their age's!!!!!

That night all of them stayed there and waited for Sid to wake up....... The Next morning Sid woke up and since he was stable, he was shifted to the ward..... Everyone was excited to meet him but they decided to let Sanju see him first....
