I'm sorry!

"I'm scared."
"It will be alright, Lex."
"John, it's been nearly a year since I fell!"
"Yes, I know.." John sighed. "We've tried and we will keep trying."
"But..I can't remember anything," Alex sobbed.
"I promise, Alexander," He smiled weakly. "you will get your memory back. Not matter what it takes."
"Really?" He sniffed, looking up at John.
"Really."
"Thank you, John. I don't know where I would be without you," He said, smiling.
"Me neither," John chuckled, embracing Alexander.
What John didn't mention was that he himself was also scared.
Occasionally, Alex would wake up in the middle of the night from a nightmare. He would wake up John and usually ask him for company.
But nothing.
Not a single trace of memory slipped it Alex's mind.
John was scared.
It's been so long.
Will Alex ever get his memories back?

"Agh!" Peggy groaned, throwing a ball of yarn to her bedroom wall. "I should've covered criminology! It could be really helpful now."
The girls, Maria, Theodosia, Sally, and the Schuyler sisters were all gathered at Peggy's room, discussing about any possible suspects of the crime.
"Calm down, love," Maria said, standing up from the bed and walking towards her girlfriend. "We'll figure it out eventually."
"How are we supposed to figure it out if all that ever happened to Alex involving his amnesia was the date and place where it happened!"
"He never experience any memory gain, right?" Eliza asked. "He should be getting some now..."
"Stop being so nerdy, Eliza-"
"It's helpful," Sally defended her. "She works as an intern, remember?"
"Okay, okay," Peggy said. "But, still. He hasn't told us anything."
"Maybe he's keeping something.." Angelica muttered.
~~×~~
"Alright, Lex. I'll just be at my job interview then I'm coming straight-"
"You're gay," Alex giggled.
"Not what I meant - but yes, I am," John grinned, fixing his suit. "I'm coming home directly after it. And you're not going outside-"
"I'll be fine, John, I promise nothing's going to happen to me," Alex said, giving him a smile.
John sighed, "Alright. I just want to keep you safe."
"Okay," Alex mumbled. "Just go to your interview, I don't want to keep you late."
"I will. But first, how do I look?" He asked.
"You look pretty decent," Alex admitted.
"Thanks," John grinned. "Now, I'll be off — AND DON'T BURN DOWN THE KITCHEN — and sTay aLive."
"Alright, alright, now go!" Alex said, ushering John out the door.
He sighed, and went towards the kitchen to try to cook ramen.
Halfway through cooking, a loud banging from the front door made Alex startle.
CLANG CLANG CLANG CLANG CLANG
"What the heck?!" Alex exclaimed, running to get the door.
And outside the door, stood Peggy and Maria, Peggy making a ruckus with Eliza's top quality cake pans.
"Ah, it seems my method worked," Peggy chirped, dropping the pans.
"I swear, Eliza would kill you for stealing her pans," Maria chuckled, picking up the pans.
"Hey, Alex. Mind if we come in?"
"Wha— oh, sure!" Alex mumbled, letting them in.
Peggy and Maria skipped into the apartment— at least, Peggy did— and leaned against the wall.
"So, tell me," Alex started, closing the door. "what brings y'all here— ?"
"Tell me, Alex," Peggy said, stepping close to Alex and examining him. She narrowed her eyes. "remembering...anything?"
"Uh, none," He stammered. "What's going on?"
"What is going on?" She repeated.
"Oh my god, Pegs!" Maria laughed at her girlfriend's behavior.
"What do you mean?" He chuckled nervously.
"Your mind," Peggy said, now pacing around the room. "such mysterious how minds work, right?"
"Um, I guess?"
"Well, yours is quite mysterious. You are supposed to be getting a few flashbacks by now."
"Yeah, I suppose so..."
"Are you keeping something from us?" Peggy asked, getting hold of Alex's collar.
"N-Not that I-I know of?" He smiled nervously.
"ROCHAMBEAU!"
Sally, Eliza, and Angelica kicked in through the door and ran inside.
"WE'RE HERE~" Eliza yelled, in a singsong manner.
"DO NOT LET HIM ESCAPE!" Sally screamed.
"I THOUGHT WE AGREED SAM ADAMS WAS THE CODE WORD?!" Angelica screeched.
Peggy laughed, "Who cares?"
"I DO!"
"oh."
"What the fuck?!" Alex shrieked.
"Language, Alexander," Eliza smiled. "Now, sit, or welcome the worse side of me."
"You have a worse side?"
"That's for another time."
Alex relucantly sat down on the couch, shaking in fear.
"Now," Angelica said. "we listen while Eliza interrogates."
"Why her?" Peggy whined.
"She's a nurse."
"Well, of course."
"Any past events relating to your head, Alexander?" Eliza asked, taking out a pen and a notebook.
"Um, exploring around New York?" He replied.
"Mhm...anythings else?"
"Uhh-"
"i sAid anYthIng eLse?!"
"Nothing, nothing," Alex said loudly.
"Okay, so no memories...pain?"
"I did get a massive migraine about seven months ago.."
"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US?!"
"Because...that's normal?"
"Oh god, Alexander. Tell us when or else you'll meet your death."
"Whoa, there, Liza," Sally chuckled, putting a hand on her shoulder, in attempt to calm down.
"Right, sorry," She smiled. "When?"
"I was with John, on our first 'Exploring New York' trip," Alex said, relieved Eliza was now back to her cinnamon roll self.
"And...?"
"Well, I met Paine at a coffee shop. And we talked a little. Then I got a excruciating migraine-"
"Great, your vocabulary is back." Angelica grinned, while Peggy groaned.
Peggy perked up, "Paine?"
"Yeah, him," He confirmed.
"Paine?!" She screamed, looking at her sisters.
"Yes..."
"PAINE!"
"What does this have to do with Paine?" Angelica asked.
"PAINE!" Maria, Peggy, Eliza, and Sally shouted in unison.
"Paine?"
"PAINE IS A FUCKING PAIN IN THE ASS!" Peggy screamed.
Angelica stayed silent, and felt tears build up in her eyes.
"It cannot be.."
