Chapter 36
I needed a filler chapter, kay?

Alex's POV-
We threw our caps to the air and cheered.
We've graduated.
I'm finally free after 24 years of living-
I hugged John from the back and squealed. "We did it!"
"YAS QUEEN!" Maria squealed.
We all stared at her. The gang has met up so we wouldn't get lost from each other.
"What? I always wanted to say that..." She chuckled nervously.
"How did it feel?" Eliza asked.
"Embarassing." Maria grumbled.
"Congrats, guys!" Mr. Laurens, who had appeared somehow, shook our hands.
"Thank you, Mr. Laurens-" Sally said.
"Please, it's Henry." He chuckled, before frowning. "No one calls me Henry."
"Hi, Henry." John laughed.
"Not you, son."
"HEY, I'M GETTING PICTURES!" Peggy screeched, as she waved her camera at the air. We nod and got into position.
All of us, who were graduating, stood alongside each other. Peggy snapped 5 pictures before I took my chance.
I kissed John's cheek midshot, leaving him a blushing mess.
"Ha!" I giggled.
"Allleeexxx." He whined.
"Yes?" I asked, fluttering my eyes to add innocence.
"Gosh you're so annoying." He laughed.
"You love me." I cooed.
"Nah." He said, making me frown. "I'm in love with you."
"Well the same for you." I smiled.
"GET A ROOM!"
"WALLS DON'T EXIST IN THIS FANFIC-" We both yell.

Later that night, the whole gang went to have a small after-party.
Did I say small? Well, it wasn't.
It was TheSquad™. There's 13 of us, plus Mr. Schuyler, Dad, James M., Mr. Laurens, Mary, Martha, James Jr., and Henry Jr. Making that 21 of us at the Schuylers Mansion. The Laurens siblings, except John, went upstairs since we were doing 'grown-up' talk.
It's been a while since we've been there, 5 months since the last Christmas.
"We free!" Thomas yelled.
"Damn." I muttered. "Never thought he would say that."
"Apparently, he did." James M. chuckled.
Aaron smiled. "Congrats y'all. I've been waiting for this."
"Oh really?" Maria asked, bewildered.
"You had a lot of things to wait for, Aaron, yet you chose us among that?" Eliza grinned in awe.
"You're so swe-"
"No." Aaron grumbled, leaving us giggling like schoolgirls.
Except most of us are boys, and we're not in school-
"WE'RE OUT OF SCHOOOLLL!" I squealed.
"Shush, son." My dad, who was talking to Mr. Lau- Henry about god knows what, laughed.
"And you only graduate college once." James Jr. chuckled.
"Unless you repeat." Angelica added.
"Well, yeah, but none of us are repeating, right?" Peggy asked.
"No." Eliza said.
"So, what should we do for now?" I asked, slumping down at the sofa.
We sat there in silence, the constant talking of the parents being the only noise heard.
"Let's play truth or dare." Peggy said randomly.
"Really?" Angelica groaned.
"Hey, I wanna feel young."
"Oh shit." I muttered, remembering something.
"Why?" John asked me, worried.
"We forgot to pack our stuff."
"OH SHIT!"

"Are you done yet, Lexi?" John poked his head inside our room.
All of us had suddenly ran back to the campus. Yes, we were aware that it was 10 miles away, and hopped on a bus, in which everyone in there gave us weird looks, as we haven't changed out of our gowns.
What a long sentence.
"Almost." I smiled, looking up from the box I was packing on.
"Okay. We'll stay with the Schuylers until we can finally move out." He returned the smile and walked back where everyone else was, packing their most beloved possessions.
And Peggy packing her food...
I smiled at the thought of me and John moving in together.
"HURRY YOUR ASSES UP!" Peggy screamed somewhere outside my room.
"Language!" James squeaked.
I chuckled softly and brought the rest of my bags out.
"You ready?" John asked me as I entered the main room.
"For what?"
"Being free."
"Pfft-" I laughed. "I've been waiting for this for ages."
"Alexander Hamilton? Waiting? I'D NEVER BELIEVE IT!" Thomas exclaimed. "WAIT TILL I TELL AARON THIS!"
"NO NO NO NO-"
- time skip because I control over the story-
The author does not control over the story.
Okay, maybe partially.
Tis my life.
You can't control it--
Anyway, we've arrived back at the Schuyler Mansion, our displacement being 10 miles-
Stop being so nerdy, author.
(Geez, I miss math, okay?)
Anyway, enough of that. As I was saying -- or rather doing -- we arrived back at the Schuyler Mansion.
"Ah, you guys our back." Mr. Schuyler smiled at us. We were all carrying our bags and boxes, our backs already aching.
"Pa, can they stay with us until they rent an apartment?" Eliza asked.
"Of course! Come on in, and - oh, do you guys need help?"
"We're fine." Sally grunted.
"Totally." Maria rolled her eyes.
"We're not." I whispered to Mr. Schuyler, who chuckled after.
Mr. Laurens and my dad appeared by his side. "You guys do need help."
"We'll be fine, Henry." I smiled.
"Finally, someone oughta called me that." He rolled his eyes. "I'll get the children to help y'all."
Dad went to help me, as I was too smol, and the other two parents went to fetch the siblings and James, my brother, so they could help us, which we rejected but they insisted anyway.
"So, how are you and Dad?" I asked James, who was carrying my boxes up the stairs with me.
"Eh. We're fine. We have stable jobs and pretty good income." He said witb a smile. "How are you and John?"
I blushed. "We're good. He's so sweet and caring and--"
"When's the wedding?" He smirked, making my face redder than Maria's dress.
"I-
Uh-
We-"
"Just make me the best man!" He begged. "I'm your brother!"
"Of course." I chuckled.
"As long Laf or Hercules won't kill me, you'll be." I added quickly.
"Good." He grinned. "Me and Dad better go back to the apartment. It's almost dark."
I nodded and hugged my brother before he went downstairs, wavinf goodbye.
I kicked all the boxes all the way to me and John's shared guest room, as I was too lazy to carry them, and opened the door.
"Hey, Alex!" John, who was drawing on the bed already, smiled. "Ya need help?"
I blushed and nodded meekly.
"Aw, why you blushin'?" He cooed tickling my cheek as we unpacked my stuff.
"N-Nothing." I stammered, my face getting hotter.
"Whhyy?" He giggled.
"Fine." I crossed my arms playfully. "Why must you use your Southern accent?" I mumbled.
"Aww." He chuckled.
"Your cute stupid cute Southern accent." I blushed.
"Aww you think it's cute?" He asked, his Southern accent getting stronger.
Why does it have to be so hot?
I meekly nodded as my face was burning. I covered my face and slightly laughed at my embarassment.
Knock knock knock!
"Jack?" Mr. Laurens poked his head at the door. "I hope you're not flustering Alexander." He chuckled.
"Maybe." John giggled, as I finally showed my red face.
"Well, we're about to go back." He sadly smiled. "Well, I was thinking if you'd like to spend a week in South Carolina, as a summer vacation? Alexander, please come as well."
"Of course, Dad! It's been a while." John said and turned to face me. "You up for it?"
"Sure." I grinned. "Thank you, Mr- Henry."
With one last nod, Mr. Laurens closed the door leaving me and John in the room, the lamp and the full moon being the only light source illuminating the dark room.
"I'm sleepy." I yawned. Too tired to change out of my clothes, I collapsed on the bed.
"Well, that's a first." John chuckled, slipping beside me.
And he just had to be the big spoon.
"Why do you have to be the big spoon?" I whined, burying my face into his chest.
"Because you're smol, Alex." He chuckled, stroking my hair.
"I wanna be the big spoon!"
"Well, that would be weird, since I'm taller than you."
"I don't fucking care." I giggled.
"Once you're taller." He laughed.
"When?"
"Mm..." He paused, before cackling. "NEVER!"
I childishly pouted. "Fine."
"I love you." He whispered as he drove into sleep.
"I love you too." I smiled.
I'm lucky to have this boy.
Except luck's not always on your side.
