Chapter 35
-big 3 year time skip for plot details-
Alex's POV-
Hi, nice to see you again.
You know, I can't really see you, and you can't really see me, and uh, you get what I mean.
Let me just get in the story and stop breaking the wall, which consists of nothing but air molecules.
It's been 3 years! A lot has happened in 525,600 minutes times 3, which is...
1,576,800 minutes.
I got a part-time job in the nearby Starbucks, so I could save some money. John and I might move in together. Plus, more coffee for me! My friends would occasionally on my shifts, mainly John.
Aaron graduated early, as he only took 2 years in college, in hopes to finally get married to Theodosia. She took some online classes instead, and the couple moved in together in a small apartment near the college. Everyone's trying their best to help them get married, soon. Peggy the event planner, as she wished, and Hercules and Eliza helping everyone's suits and dresses, especially Theodosia's.
Sally and Eliza eventually got together, but were taking it slow.
Maria and Peggy finally got together, in a game of truth or dare. They always acted lovey-dovey to each other-
"GET A ROOM!" Hercules groaned as the couple snuggled up to each other.
It was movie night, once again. Everyone was here, except the Burrdosians, as Aaron was working and Theo was having online classes. I was cuddled up beside John.
"WE'RE IN A ROOM!" Peggy deadpanned.
"And plus, I don't think there are any rooms in this life. The fourth wall is practically broken so, it's not a full room." Maria added.
"She makes a point." Thomas said.
Oh, and Thomas and James? They were head over heels for each other. They're still not yet official, unfortunately, but they aren't oblivious of one's affections to each other. We still don't know why they won't get together.
Angelica graduated last year, with Aaron, as she was a senior. She's currently working at a bakery, for some odd reason, and looking for a job. She's still single, after what happened with Paine. Though, she may not admit it, I think she still loves him but still is too scared of what may happen next.
Lafayette and Hercules? Well, they're the same couples, except they're now engaged! I'm so happy for them.
John and I are still the cutest couple. Speaking of which, we've grown a closer bond together, and promised to never leave each other.
Cliché, amirite?
Oh, and we're almost graduating! 4 years in this college and we're finally gonna live our own lives.
This will be fun.
"What do you guys wanna do after college?" Eliza asked out of the blue.
Well, she is blue, so it's both literally and figuratively-
"I'll continue being a tailor and make clothes." Herc smiled.
"I can be a teacher or interpreter." Lafayette shrugged.
"Maybe work in a law firm..." Thomas wondered, James and I nodding in approval. The three of us could work in the law firm Aaron was working at.
"Maybe a programmer? Or a tech teacher, haven't really thought about it." Angelica said.
"I'll either be a marine biologist or a doctor for sea life." John chirped.
"PARTY PLANNER!" Peggy exclaimed.
"Pegs, you studied Performing Arts with me, remember?" Maria chuckled. "I'll either be a singer or choreographer."
"Actress..." Peggy sighed contently, stars at her eyes, I can imagine.
Eliza smiled. "A baker? I'm not sure, but I'll see as time goes by."

"How about this?" John asked, getting a graduation gown from the rack.
"John that's..." Herc cringed. "Blue."
"Well, I like blue!" He pouted.
Laf, Hercules, John and I went to buy some gowns for our upcoming graduation, on Saturday, May 23.
"We're supposed to wear black gowns for the graduation, mon ami." Laf said.
"I know..." John groaned. "How about this?" He got a black one and shoved it to Herc.
He examined it for a while until he finally concluded, "This one suits you, John."
John eagerly smiled and grabbed the coat going to the changing room.
"All of these are too big for me!" I whined.
"Because you're so small." Laf chuckled.
"I could trim the bottom part and make adjustments. I'll give it to you by Monday." Herc suggested.
I sighed, handing it to him. "Thanks, Herc-"
"How does it look?" John appeared in front of us and showed us the gown he was trying on.
"That looks perfect on you, mon ami!" Laf grinned.
"I like it. You should get it." Herc said.
"Alex?" John faced me for an answer.
Was I staring?
I definitely was.
"Damn." I muttered, blushing furiously. The three of them chuckled.
"We'll get it then! Now hurry up, I wanna go back to the dorm." John smiled, running to the cashier to pay.
"You heard him." I giggled, grabbing a gown and following John, the other two behind me.
-time skip because writer's block suckz-
"Aren't you excited?" I squealed. "We're gonna graduate. TOMORROW!"
"Heck yeah, I am!" Peggy yelled.
"Peggy, you're not graduating until next year..." Maria sighed.
"Right." She frowned. "I'm still staying with yooouu~"
Since Peggy was a year younger than most of us, she's still in college and staying with Maria, in an apartment they plan on renting.
"Well, I am still excited!" Eliza smiled.
"I'm ready to get out of this hellhole." John chuckled.
"It's not a hellhole!" I pouted.
"Lucky for you, I don't like classes."
"We're finally live our own lives, and be free!" I yelled.
"I've never seen Alex this excited before." Thomas chuckled.
"Well I should be." I grinned. "We all should be."
"Except you, Peggy." I added, chuckling.
"Right." She grumbled. "Must you remind me?"
"It's my job." I hummed.
"Making lives miserable? Yeah, sure." Thomas rolled his eyes.
"No!" I frowned.
"At least he made mine better." John smiled, pecking my cheek. I blushed.
"Stop being fucking cheesy with each other!" Laf groaned playfully. "It's too cute."
"Hey, you do that as well!"
"Yeah, to beat you." Herc laughed.

"Liza, I need help." I said. I had visited Eliza for some advice. Well, not really visit, since we live in the same penthouse, but I visited her in her
"Why?" She asked.
"You're one of my best friends and I need advice." I sighed.
"Ooh! Are you finally asking John to marry you?" She smirked.
"What?" I blushed. "No, but that would be in the future."
"Aww. We've been waiting for about four years."
"Whatever." I chuckled. "Don't laugh."
"I promise I won't." She said.
I sigh. "I need help with my speech..."
"Your farewell speech?" She raised her eyebrow. I sheepishly nod before she erupted into laughter.
"I fucking just said to not laugh." I grumbled.
"Sorry..." She awkwardly smiled as her laughing fit ended. "But you? Alexander Hamilton? The Alexander Hamilton doesn't know what to say?"
"IMPOSSIBLE!" She shrieked.
"SHHHSHHHSHHHSHH!" I shushed her. "sHhh..."
"Okay, okay." She giggled. "What do you have in mind?"
"Well, I already made my draft..." I mumbled, pulling out one of the notebooks Peggy gave me at my birthday 3 years ago. Turns out, she had a lot more in stock.
Eliza snatched the notebook out of my hand. "How long is it?" Opening the first page.
"Mm..." I thought. "I think I used the whole notebook-"
"Alex, this had 150 pages!" She exclaimed. "I'd be 80 before I finish it!"
"You're joking, you're a bookworm!" I smiled.
"Yeah, I'm just saying, that it's too long." She sighed. "Listen from your heart."
I nodded and bit my lip. "Thanks for the advice, Liz."
"Of course!"
Listen from your heart...

(I'll remind you. I never went to a college graduation so-)
"Okay, everyone wait here." Mr. Washington said, going up to the stage.
This is it.
Graduation.
All of us, who were in the graduating batch, stood in line waiting for our names to be called.
We were lined up by last names, and me and John were only a few people apart.
"Alexander Hamilton. Valedictorian." Mr. Washington smiled proudly at me.
I walked up the stairs and received my diploma, smiling, and shook each of the professor's hands, except Mr. Adams, because reasons.
I walk up to the microphone, and smile at everyone there. My dad, James, Peggy, Mr. Schuyler, Mr- Henry Laurens, Henry Jr., James, Mary, and Martha. Those are only the few I recognized.
There were hundreds of people.
I sighed and began my speech.
"Hello, everyone!" I sheepishly smiled, before a few of my friends gave thumbs up.
I took a deep breath. "I'm Alexander Hamilton, and I could say, going here to King's College is probably the best decision I had made in my entire life.
"I met so many friends that helped me along the way and supported me. I thought my life would forever be shit-"
"LANGUAGE!" Martha shouts from the audience, causing majority of us to chuckle, including me.
"I thought there would be no good in life. But I found it, if you just look close enough. I found friendship, I found trust, I found love." I looked at John who had tears at his eyes and blushing really, really hard.
"Everyone here, helped me, helped us be the people who we are right now, who we are in the future. It has been a great experience, meeting new friends, having opportunities and learning that there's always a good side." I smiled.
"I wouldn't be who I am without all of you." I felt tears in my eyes as I turn to my professors and friends.
"Except Mr. Adams." I added, erupting the crown into another fit of laughter, as Mr. Adams frowned and shot daggers at me.
I chuckled. "All I could say, is
"It's been absolutely great."
