Chapter 34

I may remind you, James did die, so this is fIctioNal.

~~~~~
Third Person's POV coz why not-
Now please read the story the author is currently writing at each second, and getting longer constantly.
"James?!" Alex exclaimed, surprised.
"Alex..." James smiled, on the verge of tears.
The two long-lost brothers embrace each other tightly for around a minute.
John softly cooed. "Aww."
Alex let go and cried. "YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD!"
"And I-I'm not." James said.
"I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD! WHY DIDN'T ANYBODY TELL ME? JAMES, HOW COME YOU DIDN'T FIND ME?" Alex  shrieked, extremely hurt.
James sighed, running his hands through his red hair. "Someone donated blood for me to survive. Some person found me after the hurricane then rushed me to the nearest hospital.
"Except there weren't any hospitals." He continued. "They had to take me to the nearest island where the hurricane didn't do much damage."
"Where?" Alex asked, less hurt now.
"Jamaica."
"But that's so far away!" Alex said.
"It was the one that wasn't damaged at all, and had a hospital. Since I lost blood at the travel, I was under a coma.
" So I recovered for about a month, until they were kind enough to make a donation for me so I could go to America.
"I went to New Jersey, where I would study for Medical at Princeton. After 2 years, I graduated early."
"Sounds like what Alex would do." John chuckled.
"Yeah." James laughed. "Still writing, little bro?"
Alex sighed. "Y-Yeah..."
After a few moments of awkward silence, Alex finally spoke up.
"I'm glad you're alive." Alex mumbled, smiling.
"I am too, Alex." He smiled. "I honestly thought you were dead too. I thought I was the only family member alive."
"Dad's alive." Alex blurted out.
"What?!" James exclaimed.
"Yeah...."
"Why would you call a man like that 'Dad'?" James narrowed his eyes.
"He had his reasons!" Alex sighed.
"Why then?"
Taking out his phone, Alex said. "I think it's best if he says it. Just here what he has to say."
James sighed. "Fine." He took out his phone and gave it to Alex. Alex entered both his dad's number and his number.
"Here." Alex chirped.
Suddenly, the author announced something.
The three boys looked at each other, curious at the notification coming from all their phones at one.
James hesitantly opened his phone again, just after he closed it, and looked at the announcement.
Warning: James Hamilton Jr. is being planned to being murdered figuratively unless literally for playing a horrible joke that John Laurens was dead.
The troop is being lead by ThisBoiCanGacha and other members, TauruSauru, rainbow_behind_cloud, random9erson and Hamilton_fanxoxo. Stay safe James.
PS: I know y'all are reading this, and I said y'all gonna regret it.
Please don't kill him.
James chuckled softly and stuffed it back in the pocket of his white coat.
"The author said that people are gonna 'kill me'." James laughed, the couple joining in.
Another ding interrupted their laughing session.
This time, Alex opened it.
Oh and, I think they're going to kill me as well. Let's go, James.
Alex read the text, giggling afterwards.
"You shouldn't have said that." Alex laughed.
"Hey, I don't have control over the story. The author does!" James protested, pointing at the author who was rapidly texting the story right now, trying to make this story hilarious and currently breaking the wall.
"Let's go." She says, grabbing him by the arm and hiding him somewhere unknown so the troop will not kill him.
John shrugs. "That's how the story goes."
~~×~~
Angelica sighed before reluctantly knocking at her boyfriend's dorm.
After a few moments of shuffling, the door opened, revealing a hung-over Thomas Paine.
"Angelica!" He smiled.
"Hi, Thomas." She faked smile, entering the dorm.
The living room was messy with papers all over the place.
Paine apologized. "Sorry about the mess. Me and dorm mate, Conway, have a hang-over going on right now."
"It's alright." Angelica replied, sitting down at the couch where it wasn't filed with stacks of papers.
"So, why are you here?" Paine asked, offering a can of Coke to Angelica.
Angelica declined. "No thanks. Anyway, I came here to ask, where were you last night?"
"Oh." Paine said, thinking about last night. "My friends and I went to the bar and the rest was a blur."
Angelica huffed. "How did you get back here if you were drunk, then?"
"I..." He paused. "Well, we went there by my car. I don't know if we walked or I drived back."
"Well, then." Angelica said, going to detective-mode. "Let's check the parking lot."
~~time skip~~
The couple walk down the stairs, as Paine's dorm is at the first floor, and walk out the building.
Angelica's fast walking pace to the parking lot worried Paine, who was helplessly trying to catch up with a normal pace.
"Angie, why are you so worried about my car?" Thomas asked, as he finally jogged up to his girlfriend.
"Because." Angelica said flatly.
The car's windshield was finally spotted. Angelica raced to the car, pulling Thomas along with her.
The view that they say never got out of Angelica's mind.
Part of the car's tire and front was splattered with dry blood.
"W-what is this?" Paine stammered, not remembering anything from the night before.
"I trusted you." Angelica sobbed, her hands into fist.
"And you still do, right...?"
"Thomas, one of my best friends are in the hospital because of you. Your drunk self." She spat.
"Angelica..."
"Congratulations." She hissed. "You've invented a new kind of stupid."
"A 'damage you can never undo' kind of stupid." She continued, her voice breaking. "An 'open all the cages in the zoo' kind of stupid."
"'Truly you didn't think this through?' kind of stupid."
"I-" Thomas said.
"We're done." She cried. "That was my best friend, Thomas. You truly are a pain, Paine."
Angelica stomped off, crying, leaving Thomas at the parking lot, crying and questioning his life choices.
