Chapter 11

A/N: What if I underline musical references I kno?--

John's POV-

Lafayette was taking charge of driving, with Hercules on shotgun. Angelica and Eliza behind them, then us. Peggy and Maria were behind us. And finally, Burr and Theodosia at the very back.

Lafayette asked, "You, how you say? Comfortable, back there?" He grinned mischievously at us. I rolled my eyes as they nodded. I gave him a "What is this? A set-up?" look.

As the radio plays In The Heights, Peggy groaned. "Laf, we know you love foreign languages, BUT, please take pity to those who don't."

"Fine." He grumbled. "What do guys want--"

"MIRANDA!" We all yelled.

Lin-Manuel Miranda played in the background as we sang our parts, with Burr starting.

"How come I don't get a part in the WHOLE musical?" Theodosia pouted.

"And I only have, like, one song! The Cephas Jones Sisters!" Peggy complained.

"Soon. Once your voice matures." Angelica winked. They both groaned.

"Shush, it's my turn!" I said and continued with singing.

Alex's POV-

John started singing. He actually has a pretty nice voice. I think I was the only one paying attention-

"Nice, John! You should join drama club!" Eliza chirped. We've been on the road for like- 2 minutes and we're already stuck in traffic.

I renounce that.

"Sure, but, I'd rather only share with my friends." He grinned goofily.

"Wow. I didn't know you could sing, John." I said. "It feels like I don't know you."

"I don't think I know what you mean." John arched his right eyebrow.

"Well. It seems like there's something I don't know. Like- we've been hanging out, guys, for months and I don't know anything-"

(A/N: I noticed this)

"Yes, yes. We get that, Alex." Peggy said. "Anyone up for a little Truth or Truth?" She smirked.

"Sure!" We all said.

"I'll start." Eliza offered. "John. This makes me extremely curious."

"w-what?" John nervously stammered.

"Is your father homophobic?"

Silence reigned.

"Y-yes. I'm afraid he would disown me if I told him..." John teared up.

"Sorry, John. Curiosity got me. But why didn't you tell us?" Eliza apologized.

"Nothing, really. It's just-"

"A really sensitive topic." Eliza apologized. "Let's get over this, alright?"

John nodded. "Uhh...Peggy!" His mood lifted. You could clearly see that because-

"WhO'S yOUr CrUsh?" He teased.

"No one!" She quickly said.

"Let's see your pulse!" Angelica brought out from her purse what seemed like a pulse checker, also known as lie detector.

"You literally bring that everywhere?" Aaron sighed.

"YeP!" She responds getting closed to Peggy as she desperately squirms.

"I"LL GIVE YOU BOTH HUNDRED BUCKS IF I FORFEIT THIS QUESTION!" She brings out her wallet and tossed dollar bills to both of them.

"OOH! MONEY!" Angelica squealed.

"It's not like you don't have them, idiot. We're sisters." Peggy rolled her eyes with a relieved sigh.

"Yeah, yeah. Carry on!"

"Alright. Alex!"

I hummed a response.

"Uh... when's your birthday? Haha, you haven't told us yet."

"Oh. January the 11th." Before they could squeal, I interrupted them, "Yeah. Like Miranda."

"Cool!" She says.

"Okay. Well uh, Laf!"

"Oui?" He asks.

"Are you and Herc?-"

"We admit. Okay?" He lifted his hands in mock surrender.

"GET YOUR HANDS ON THE FUCKING WHEEL-" Peggy screamed. Laf placed it back down.

"Language!" We all shouted.

"Well it's not like we don't swear- oh look. We're here!"

I took a peek at the window. All I see is a square green bush and a white wall-

"Oh my gawd..." I look up and see a mansion that had 3 floors and must had 50 rooms.
