Skye shook her head. She wanted to tell Chase her true feelings. She walked up to Chase.

"Chase?"

Chase looked up playfully. "What is it, Skye!"

I almost regret doing this... Skye thought. "Look, Chase. I've been wanting to tell you this for a long time."

"What is it?"

"I-I-I- I don't really love you. I've always been hanging on because I didn't want to hurt your feelings."

"It's fine..." Chase said.

He walked away. Skye thought she heard him crying.

We did have a pretty solid friendship for a while... even if it was all based on a lie.
