Aphrodite looks behind her. Adelliana wanted to ask what's wrong but the situation doesn't seem right, she'll ask her once they returned home.

Aphrodite didn't let Adelliana down until they reached the queen's palace. Once Adelliana's feet land on the ground, she immediately run wild like a dog that stuck inside her home during quarantine.

Aphrodite slowly followed her with a small smile, but once in a while, her purple eyes scanned the whole area.

Meanwhile, Adelliana didn't give a single crap and would sniff any roses or flowers she came across. Aphrodite leads her to the awaiting area.

The tables were set up neatly and beautifully. Snacks and tea sets were all over the table. The crowds turn silent once they saw them.

Eyes were focused on them.

Aphrodite's lips curved into a smile. Adelliana didn't have the same confidence as her mother. She immediately hid behind her and grip her skirt dress.

They walked to the table and someone approached them...to be precise, her mother.

"Grand Duchess Valentine, I never thought you would actually came to my party."

Adelliana lifts her head and take a small peek at the woman who is talking to her mother.

"I am Perseis Walken Peregrine, the 1st queen of Beresford empire. May I know your name, little girl?"

Perseis' red lips curved into a beautiful smile. Aphrodite taps on her shoulder to give her some confidence. Adelliana step forward and greets Perseis with all her best.

"Greeting to the queen of Beresford, may Sol and angels from heaven bless you with joy and health. This humble girl is Adelliana Ivan Valentine, the daughter of Duke and Duchess Valentine."

Adelliana gulped. She didn't dare to raise her head. Perseis widen her eyes. Her slender finger slightly lift Adelliana's chin up.

The forest green eyes met her two glittering deep pink one.

Adelliana stayed in silence. For her her two suddenly lift her chin and stare right into her eyes, it was pretty terrifying.

Perseis get up and smile at Aphrodite.

"Why don't you enjoy the party? Adele, why don't you enjoy yourself? There are many kids around your ages. Make yourself home, if you need anything, tell the maids. They will be at your services. Us adults have something to talk that isn't enjoyable for kids."

"Hey, don't call my daughter 'Adele' as if you're familiar with her! Adele, mommy need to go now. Have fun, come to me if you aren't comfortable with those brats."

"Hurry up!"

"I know!"

Adelliana watched as her mother and the queen went to the tables. One maid came to her and signal her to follow. Adelliana followed the maid without any question.

The maid leads her to another place and chirpy laughters and noise almost made her ran back to Aphrodite in full speed.

Of course, that was a lie. There were only laughter of the children but no crazy screaming or noise. Those children dressed neatly and beautifully, perfect to be called as a noble.

Their laughing stopped once they saw her. Adelliana wasn't scared. She casually approached them and one maid came to pour tea for her.

"Oh my, I have never seen you before. I am the daughter of Marquis Zealand, Gabriel Zealand. May I ask for your name?"

One girl with blonde pigtails gave her a haughty smile. Did she really think she's the god here?

Adelliana was in the mood to mess with some brats. Her hands would itch whenever she saw a type of brat like this Gabriel one.

Adelliana's face was blossmed into a binding smile. Some kids even have to cover their eyes because of the sparkly background.

Ah yes, she has exaggerated again.

"Nice to meet you, miss Gabriel. I'm the daughter of Duke and Duchess Valentine, Adelliana Ivan Valentine. It's really nice to meet you all."

Gabriel's smile dropped immediately. No one didn't even dare to talk to her.

"You mean...the daughter of the demon...?" One boy opened his mouth but his voice was so low.

After that, they introduced themselves one by one with trembling voices. No one talk to her. They left her out and boast about their parents and wealth.

Adelliana found nothing interesting and leave. She doesn't want to associate with these kids from the beginning. Adelliana had to the garden alone and the voices of the children also fade away the further she walked.

She sat down on the grass and watched the beautiful roses and listen to the water fountain.

Suddenly, someone threw a nut at her.

"What the heck?!! Come out if you wanted to fight, goddamn you!!"

Adelliana went out of control. Her peaceful moment suddenly has been destroyed by someone!!

"Gee, you really have such a bad temper..."

A thud sound behind her made Adelliana turned but she was greeted with a boy who is taller for only 3 centimeter. Usually, she doesn't like smell coming out of young boys but this guy' smell hit different.

A faint scent of vanilla and flowers made her nose twitch.

[ sniff sniff!!! He smelled so fucking good!!! Even better than a girl!! Is he gay or fay?!! ]

The boy's face twisted when he saw her thirsty expression. He slightly pushed her away with disgust.

"Ewww..your face looks like one of those pedo on the street.."

"Hey, take that back!!!!"

The boy reach out his hand and dust her hair.

"I threw a nut at you because you have some leaves on your head. Gee...don't scream like a dying frog again."

He sighed. Adelliana's face was flushed in embarrassment. She subconsciously pouted and huff.

The boy hold his laughter. She reminded him alot of his baby sister. When she's angry, she would pouted and let out a hmph sound.

Suddenly, Adelliana turned her face to him. He was so surprised and was about to fall but she grabbed his arm.

"Next time, don't throw a nut at a lady because it's rude. If you do that next time, I'll whack your head for sure."

His baby blue gaze met her pink one. It was only for a moment, but his heart was thumping crazily.

[ W-what is this annoying feeling?!! ]

His head was filled with mess and his face turned red all of a sudden. Adelliana didn't turn blind-eyes towards this. She smirked and knows that this boy is blushing because of her.

"What? Do you need me to call a love doctor? Cause I bet your heart is racing because of my beauty..(͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)"
