Chapter Five

After some time, Tord began to feel pain in his arm and half of his face. Paul saw this and ran away. He came back with a bottle and a can of cola."These are pain pills." he said to Tord as he opened the bottle and dropped a pill in the palm of his hand.

"Here, take this. It will deal with the pain in your arm and face." Paul explained. Tord didn't make any fuss about the pill. The pain was awful and something to soothe it was something Tord wanted the most other than getting back home.

Tord quickly took the pill and cola. He took a big gulp of the drink, then took the pill. Paul watched him take the pill, then lit another cigarette. They waited for what seemed to be minutes on the living room.

Tords pain in his arm and face began to reside, but it brought up a question that has been bothering him. What happened to his eye?

He hasn't had a chance to look in a mirror yet but he could guess something bad has happened to half of his face if he can only see through one eye. He dare not ask Paul or Patryck. They would just tell another full blown lie like they did with his arm.

Paul looked over at Tord and smiled. Tord looked back at him with a glare. "Wanna smoke?" Paul asked, completely unaware of the way Tord was giving him a death glare.

Tord continued to glare at the poor Paul."I don't take cigarettes from kidnappers." he growled. Paul stared blankly at Tord, and shrugged."Suit yourself..." he said.

"Alright, I got the address." Patryck's voice booked from the hallway. Soon, Patryck ran out to the living room carrying a small slip of paper."And lucky for me I also got Edd's apartment number." he added in happily as he handed the paper to Paul.

Paul studied it for a second, then a smile began to form on his face as well."Great job Pat!" he said, giving Patryck a pat on the back. Tord gave the two a confused look."Apartment?" he said."I think you got something wrong. You see, I live in a house with Edd, Matt, and Tom. Not an apartment."

Patryck stared at Tord with an annoyed face."Have you heard a thing we have said?" he asked. Tord rolled his eyes."Yes. That big story about a giant robot and Tom shooting me down with a harpoon gun which I'm sure he doesn't even own." Tord said.

Patryck sighed."Pat...I think we might have to show him ourselves." Paul suggested. Patryck gave him a look."Why?" Patryck asked."So he can stop bugging us about the dumb house that blew up!" Paul snapped, which wasn't like his usual dumb self.

Patryck looked wide eyed at his comrade. Paul sighed, took a deep puff of his cigarette, and apologized. Patryck stared at Paul for awhile before speaking."Your right." he said."We should just show him so he can stop bickering. Sorry for questioning you."

Paul smirked."It's alright. You were probably just surprised I came up with a good plan." he said jokingly. Tord watched them laugh at each other's stupidity in boredom.

All he wanted to do was go home and yet these two were delaying his return home by doing stupid stunts. Tord rolled his eyes, which landed on a nearby gun on the floor by the door.

Tord smirked. He was glad that these two have a really good habit of leaving guns around. Tord got up and made a dash for the door. He grabbed the gun as he swung open the door, ready to face the many blood thirsty dogs that awaited him.

Instead of what he thought he'll be seeing, Tord went face to face to a clear open lawn of green grass. Tord looked around for any signs of dogs and he closest he had gotten was a small plushie of a white dog on the far edge of the lawn.

Tord turned around just in time to go toe to toe with his kidnappers. Paul gasped as he looked outside."Oh no! Our dogs have seemingly disappeared!" he yelled. Tord raised a brow. He knows that they were lying so why was he trying to play it along?

Patryck sighed and slapped Paul in the back of the head."Ow!" Paul yelped. Tord glared down at the two."Get in the car and drive me back home now." Tord ordered, cocking the gun.

Paul and Patryck sighed. They moved past Tord and walked up to a red car. They got inside with Paul and Patryck up front and Tord in the back. Together, they drove off to Tords home.

As they neared Tords neighborhood, he began to think how long he's been kidnapped. Surely a long time since his voice sounds different from the last time he remembers.

"Here's your house." Paul's voice made Tord jump out of thought. He looked over at his window and stared in horror at what he was seeing. A giant hole in the ground with bits of debris here and there in piles.

Next to it was a house almost half demolished. Tord stared at the mess, unable to speak. Patryck started the engine up. They began to drive away and towards a apartment building.

"Where am I going to live now?" Tord gasped, still in shock after seeing his home destroyed."Well you can always live with us!" Paul suggested. Patryck pressed hard on the breaks.

"No he cannot live with us!" Patryck growled at Paul. Paul frowned."Why not?" Paul asked, saying what was also on Tords mind."Until we can figure out how to reverse he effects of his machine Tord is just a simple bystander that'll just in the way of our work." Patryck explained.

Paul blinked at Patryck."Oh..." he said."I guess your right...But it feels so wrong to just leave him alone on the street." Tord looked at the two, worry filling his eye.

If what they had said about him destroying the house to be true, then it was a terrible idea to stay out in the open."We aren't leaving him on the street. We need him alive till we fix the problem." Patryck said.

Paul tilted his head."Then what are we going to do with him?" Paul asked. "I would like to know as well." Tord added in. Patryck turned to look at Tord with a smile.

"I have the apartment number of your old friend Edd." Patryck said, waving around the piece of paper from earlier."We're going to drop him a visit."
