Sora and Soren stood on a grassy area.They were trying to think of which one of their Pokémon should they use for the appeals and battle round,combinations and some strategies.Cyndaquil looked at them with confused expressions.Soren suddenly snapped his fingers.

"We should use Gardevoir and Lance for the appeals,then Rayquaza and Miranda for the battle rounds!"He exclaimed.Sora seemed unsure.

"I don't know.I don't want people to have heart attacks."She murmurred.Soren smiled at her assuringly while Zack grinned.

"Don't worry!Whatever Pokémon you got,you are still the Heart of the Sky!We will always root for you no matter what!"He exclaimed.Sora smiled and nodded.

She sent out Gardevoir and Rayquaza while Soren sent out Lance and Miranda.Zack gasped."Woah!We should call you Dragon Queen or Dragon's Heart."He told them.

"Dragon's Heart."Sora repeated and looked up at the sky with a dreamy expression."I like that."She commented with a smile.She then grinned,determination burning in her eyes.

"Let's start!"She exclaimed.Her Gardevoir and Rayquaza grinned at her.Cyndaquil jumped happily and cheered.

Sora and Soren panted.They both had grins on their faces.They finally thought up of a combination.They smiled and returned their Pokémon.Audrey and Kathryn were done,with the help of their brother of course.

"We finally thought up of a combination!"Kathryn squealed.Sora smiled.

"Of course,with the help of our brother."Audrey grinned sheepishly.

"So,what Pokémon are you using?"Sora asked.

"We're using Eevee and Leafeon for the appeals,then Surskit and Masquerain for the battle rounds!"Audrey told them.

"Alright!We should do our best!"Soren exclaimed.They were suddenly interrupted by a voice.

"Ampharos,use Thunderbolt!"A male voice shouted.They all turned around and saw two trainers having a battle.Sora craned her neck.That voice...It sounds familiar.

One trainer had blond hair.He had eyes the color of the sparkling ocean.He was wearing a cream colored jacket,with a white hood and a pair of blue jeans.His opponent had crimson red hair and emerald eyes.He was wearing a white,sleeveless shirt underneath a black jacket.He wore simple jeans that look a little torn.He was battling with a Hitmonlee.Between the two battling boys was a girl.She had golden hair that reaches down her waist.Her sparkly blue eyes watched the battle intensely.She was wearing a black outfit underneath a white jacket that was designed like what a popstar would wear.She wore a pair of long,fingerless gloves,short black shorts,black thigh-high socks and black boots.

Sora smiled,so did Audrey and Kathryn."Austin,Chase,Riku!"Sora shouted and ran toward them,leaving the twins,Rafe and Soren.Rafe and the twins ran to catch up with them while Soren took care of his stuff.The three turned their heads toward Sora's direction.At first,they were confused,but when Sora came near them,they soon recognised her.

"No way!"Austin gasped.Riku and Chase grinned.

"Yes way!"Riku and Chase answered and ran toward Sora,followed by Austin.Sora was hugged by the three,unable to breath.Soren reached them,and was surprised by the sight before him.

"You're here!You're really here!"Riku squealed,choking Sora.She tried to pull away,but the coordinator won't let go of her.After all,Sora has been gone for a year and was in a coma for five months.

"I'm glad you're safe."Austin smiled warmly.

"Yeah.You changed."Chase commented."You look like an Absol.But it suits you."He grinned.Sora laughed.Suddenly,Chase did something that made Soren and Rafe angry.He kissed Sora's left cheek.She stood there,frozen.She was blushing uncontrollably.Austin sighed.

"Not again."He murmurred with a small smile.Rafe was on the verge of sending out his Blaziken while Soren almost tackled Chase to the ground.Sora glanced at Riku,praying that she won't be mad at her again.Riku just smiled and had a look on her eyes that said 'I'm fine with it.I already had someone else.' and turned toward Austin.Sora sighed with relief.She then saw the anger in Rafe and Soren's faces.

'Don't tell me.'She thought.'Why do many boys like me?It's not like I'm pretty or anything.'She thought and sighed.

"So,I assume you are going to enter the contest,am I right?"Rafe asked,trying to hold in his anger.

"Me and Chase are partners,but Riku still doesn't have one.I was hoping that Sora can be her partner."Austin and Riku looked hopefully at Sora.

"I'm sorry.But me and Soren were already partners."Sora told them.The three quirked their eyebrows.

"Who's Soren?"Chase asked suspiciously.Soren grinned and approached Sora.

"I'm Soren!Nice to meet you!"He greeted cheerfully.Chase,Austin and Riku's jaws dropped.They looked at Sora,then at Soren,then back to Sora.They shook their heads and blinked a couple of times,as if trying to get rid of the sight.Unfortunately for them,Soren was still there.

"W-what?!"Chase asked.Soren and Sora glanced at each other.Sora flashed a message with her eyes.'There it goes.'Soren nodded,as if he get the message.

"I know.We look the same.Even I am confused at first."Soren told them.The three were still stunned.Sora just sighed.

'Looks like I'm going to explain a lot of things to them.'She thought.

"Welcome to the Vermillion contest!I'm your host,Lilian!Now let's see some enthusiasm!"Lilian shouted.The appeals began.

Sora and Soren waited for their turn.Audrey and Kathryn's turns were up.They did great,and earned a lot of supporters fast.

Next was Austin and Chase's turns with their Jolteon and Ampharos.They also earned a lot of supporters and fangirls.Finally,its Sora and Soren's turns.

"And let's welcome Soren,a coordinator from Nuvema town in Unova Region!"Lilian exclaimed.Many people cheered as they enter the stage."And his partner,Sora Keyheart,the Heart of the Sky!Many of you might be familiar with her,being the only coordinator to own two legendary Pokémon."The crowd screamed as Sora waved.

She never knew she was this famous.

"Alright!"Sora and Soren shouted at the same time."Gardevoir/Lance,showtime!"They shouted.

Gardevoir and Lance emerged out of their Pokèballs.They did a sort of dance position,causing many people to scream.

"Alright,Lance!Signal Beam!"Soren commanded.The horns on Lance's body started to glow light purple.Then,a rainbow colored ball formed in front of the horn on Lance's body.He fired a rainbow colored beam from the ball up in the air.

"Soren and his Gallade start off with a beautiful Signal Beam."Lilian commented.

"Gardevoir,use Magical Leaf,then Psychic!"Sora ordered.

Gardevoir released a storm of glowing neon,green leaves.She then used Psychic and manipulated the storm toward the Signal Beam.It absorbed the Signal Beam,making it glow with rainbow colors.

"Amazing!A beautiful rainbow colored storm is right before us!Soren and Sora are pretty good at teamwork!"Lilian commented excitedly.

"Now,use Psycho Cut!"Soren ordered and glanced at Sora.She nodded and took out her ocarina while Soren took out a flute.

Lance sliced the rainbow leaves.It rained down on him and Gardevoir.Sora and Soren began to play.(A/N:I don't know if this was allowed,let's just say it is allowed here in my book)

Lance took Gardevoir's hand and bowed,causing the audience to stare in awe.Gardevoir placed her other hand on Lance's shoulder while he placed his remaining hand on her waist.They dance and twirled around as Sora played.The rainbow colored leaves rained down on the two psychic types.It was a beautiful sight indeed!The audience screamed.

Sora and Soren stopped playing and smiled.Sora,Soren,Lance and Gardevoir bowed in front of the audience.The crowd were on their feet,screaming out Sora and Soren's names and clapped.

The judges told them their opinions.They received a score of 29.8.An almost perfect score!Sora smiled as she retrieved her Gardevoir.Soren did the same.

A blond haired woman lurked in the shadows,waiting for her soon to be victims to appear.The battle rounds have begun an hour ago,and they were moving on to the final round.

She heard two voices.Two twin boys were talking.

"I can't believe Sora Keyheart is here.And she'll be our next opponent along with Soren!"The first one exclaimed.The woman smirked.

'Bingo!'She thought and sent out a Shuppet."Use Hypnosis on them."She whispered.Soon enough,two drowsy figures stood before her.

"What is it that you need,mistress?"The second one asked.

"I need you,"The woman smiled."To kill Sora when you got her cornered during the battle."She told them and handed eight Pokéballs to the twins.

Sora and Soren found themselves on stage.On the opposite side were two boys who were twins.She sighed.

"Too bad the twins,Chase and Austin were soon defeated.I was looking forward to battle them."She told Soren.He nodded.She glanced at the audience and saw her Cyndaquil,Zack,Rafe and Riku.She smiled at them and they smiled back.

They used Gardevoir and Lance in the previous rounds.They were still not sure if they should use Rayquaza and Miranda.Their opponents soon began to taunt them.

"So that is Sora Keyheart?She looked like a loser!Just because she had two legendary Pokémon doesn't mean she is that great!"The first one said out loud for Sora to hear.His partner snickered.She gritted her teeth and squeezed Soren's hand.Soren glanced at her.He blushed a bit when he felt her hand squeeze his.

"Let's now start the final round!The one who emerges victorious will receive the beautiful Vermilion Ribbons!"Lilian shouted and showed them two beautiful ribbons."On my right,Jim and Tim Smith from Fuschia city and on my left were Sora Keyheart and Soren Lockheart.Whew!Kind of confusing!"Lilian exclaimed.She then smiled."Let the battle begin!"

"Pidgeot/Fearow!Time for battle!"Jim and Tim shouted as they sent out their Pokémon.

"Lance/Gardevoir!Spotlight!"The two shouted and sent out their Pokémon.

"Gardevoir,use Shock Wave!"Sora commanded.

"Lance,use Thunderbolt!"Soren ordered.

It scored a direct hit!Pidgeot fell down the ground while Fearow was now unconscious.Three X appeared on the judges screens.

"And Fearow is down for the count!Nothing seems to stop Sora and Soren!Will Jim be able to turn the tides?"Lilian asked.

The twins gritted their teeth.They soon saw a woman with blond hair.She was hanging on a pole above them.She waved at them,meaning they have to get ready.They nodded and took out eight Pokéballs.

They sent out two Tyranitars,two Salamence and four Machamp.Everyone gasped.

"What the?!"Sora exclaimed as a few men in uniform appeared.They were all wearing black uniforms that had large 'R's.

Sora gasped."Rockets!"She shouted toward Rafe and the others direction.They nodded.Rafe sent out his Blaziken,Riku sent out Togekiss and Zack sent out a Metang.People were getting ready to run,but their path was blocked by large Pokémon.There's no way out!

"Long time no see,Keyheart."A female voice said.Sora saw Domino approach her.

"Domino."Sora gritted.Domino laughed playfully.

"So.The dragon twerp is still alive.How fascinating!Now I can kill you again!"Domino pretended to be excited,but Sora could see the desire for veangeance in her eyes.

"What do you want?"Sora asked.She grabbed Lucario's Pokéball,getting ready to send him out.

"It's easy.I want revenge and your Pokémon."Domino giggled and turned toward the Team Rocket grunts."I'll leave them to you.And I don't want any failures!"She told them and threw a smoke bomb.Everyone coughed as Domino made her escape.Sora gritted her teeth.

'Damn!She escaped!'She thought.

"Sora!"She heard Audrey and Kathryn's voice.They were running toward her along with Austin and Chase.They saw the Team Rocket grunts.Austin and Chase soon sent out Dragonite and Charizard.

Rafe,Riku,Austin,Chase,Zack,Soren and the twins were held down by the Machamp.They screamed,squirmed and kicked,trying desperately to free themselves.Their Pokémon weren't able to do anything.The other people were surrounded by the Pokémon.Sora felt her hands go numb.Once again,she is alone.She is left to save her friends on her own again.She glanced at her friends.

Rafe shook his head,as if trying to say 'Don't do this,Sora!'.Sora shook her head,to Rafe's dismay.He can't lose her again.Not now.She heard her Cyndaquil squeak in Riku's arms.She turned at it and smiled again.It calmed down.

"Make one move,and this child will be hit by a Shadow Ball!"A Rocket grunt pointed at a girl.A Houndoom got her cornered.Sora gasped.

"No!"She shouted at them and reached for Rayquaza's Pokéball.The Houndoom got ready to launch a Shadow Ball,causing Sora to freeze.If she makes one move,the girl would get hurt.The girl,who look like she was a few years younger than Sora,began to cry.

"Mommy!Daddy!"She exclaimed.Sora could sense her fear.The fear of never seeing her family again.Sora remembered and understood what she feels.She must save this girl.Her parents were running toward her.

"Cindy!"The mother exclaimed.Sora felt her heart sink.She had the same name as her mother.They were stopped by a Machamp.The Rocket grunts grew angry,causing fear to strike the people's hearts.They disobeyed them,and now they are going to pay dearly for that.

"Houndoom,use Shadow Ball!"The Rocket grunt ordered,causing the parents to scream at them to stop.Sora ran toward the girl.She felt time slow down.Her heart pounded furiously and she felt herself sweat heavily.Fear.This is what everyone is feeling right now.

"No!!!"She screamed.She reached the child and pulled her in a tight embrace to shield her from the attack.The girl gasped.Sora felt the Shadow Ball hit her from behind,causing her to grunt.

"Why you!Shadow Ball again and again!"The Rocket grunt ordered.

Sora felt more Shadow Balls hit her.She could feel her back bleed,but somehow,she could no longer feel pain.

"Sora!"Riku screamed as she tried to free herself from the Machamp.Sora whispered to the girl.

"You okay,kiddo?"She asked weakly.The girl nodded shakily.Another Shadow Ball hit her,causing the girl to grow more afraid.

"B-but what about you?"She asked shakily.Sora smiled at her assuringly.

"I'm fine."She told her and sent out her Lucario.He was shocked when he saw Sora's condition."Lucario,protect this little girl."Sora ordered.Lucario nodded,knowing that this is important and stood in front of the girl.

Sora turned around and was hit again by another Shadow Ball,this time in the face.The force of the attack pushed her a few inches from the place she originally stood from,but she just smirked.She was no longer feeling pain.

"W-what?!Impossible!Houndoom,use Swift!"The Rocket grunt ordered.Sora smirked as she was hit by the stars,but she still didn't feel any pain.For her,it was as if she was tickled lightly.Everyone gasped.

"Sora!"Rafe screamed out.He can no longer take it,watching his friend get hurt.She just smiled at him assuringly.This time,he didn't see pain in her eyes.His eyes widened with shock.

"Is that all you got?"Sora asked with a taunting tone in her voice.The grunts were shocked.

"T-Tyranitar,use Thunderbolt!"One grunt ordered.

A Tyranitar sent a powerful bolt of thunder toward Sora.It scored a direct hit,but she jut stood there,unharmed and smirking.The attack stopped because it shocked the Tyranitar.

Sora grinned mischievously and cracked her knuckles in a menacing way."Great."She told them sarcastically."Now it's my turn.I'm going to take ya on with my own hands!"She told them.They can see the mischief dancing in her eyes.The grunts began to laugh as one of the Machamp got ready to attack.

"What?!You against a Machamp?!You're damn crazy!"One shouted.Chase,Austin,Riku,Rafe and the twins just smirked.

"How about a bet?If she took down that Machamp under a minute,let us all go.But if she was defeated,do whatever you want with us."Chase told them,causing them to laugh harder.Soren and Zack was shocked.

"Are you guys crazy?!"They asked frantically.Austin just smiled.

"Please!I don't want her to get hurt!"Soren pleaded.

"Just watch."Riku told them with an assuring smile.

One grunt laughed,"Hehehe.This is easier than I-"He was suddenly interrupted by a loud thud.They saw an unconcious Machamp that looks as if it took a hard beating.Soon,another Machamp fell down,then another,and another.Soon,all of the Machamp left were on their knees,begging Sora for mercy.

Everyone stared in utter disbelief as Sora wiped off some sweat from her forehead.She turned toward the grunts."Alright.That's just the first round.Would you like to advance to round two?"She asked.

"Hmph!You just got lucky."One grunt told her grumpily.Sora grinned.

"I take that as a 'yes'."Sora said and took out all of her Pokéballs."Come on out,guys!Let's kick some Rocket butt!"She exclaimed.

All of her Pokémon got ready to fight.Sora still kept Rayquaza for the 'grand finale'.

"Latios,use Luster Purge!Latias,use Mist Ball!"She ordered.The attack brought down a Tyranitar.

"Flareon,Fire Blast!Vaporeon,Hydro Pump!And Gardevoir,Magical Leaf-Psychic combination!"Sora ordered.Soon,two Tyranitar were down.

"Hyper Beam!"One grunt ordered.The remaining Pokémon used Hyper Beam.It knocked out Flareon,Vaporeon,Gardevoir and Lucario.But they stood up,still not willing to give up.

"Hmph!Pathetic Pokémon."A grunt told them.Sora bowed,causing the others to stare in confusion.But Rafe,the twins,Zack and Soren smirked.They know what she is up to.

"This is a contest.I was saving this for the finale.Come on out,buddy!"Sora grinned.Rayquaza emerged out of his Pokéball.He let out a deafening roar.

The Team Rocket grunts froze with fear.Everyone cheered.

"Nothing's going to stop her!"Cindy shouted.

"She's gonna kick your butt!"Zack shouted.Sora smiled.She was no longer alone.She closed her eyes.

'I used to be alone.But now,everyone is by my side.Thank you,Arceus,for giving me another chance in life.'She thought.

"Lucario,use Aura Sphere!Flareon,use Fire Spin!Gardevoir,Shock Wave!The rest of you,Ice Beam!"Sora ordered.

All of the attacks took down the Pokémon of Team Rocket,and sent all of them blasting off.Everyone cheered and ran toward Sora.She fet herself being hugged by Cindy.

The screams of the crowd almost made her deaf,but it didn't bother her.She was so used to feeling pain,she no longer feels it.

"Sora."Cindy whispered.Sora bent down so she could hear her better.

"What is it?"Sora asked with a smile as the child grinned.

"You were awesome!I have always been a fan of yours.Oh,tomorrow is my tenth birthday and I'm going to get my first Pokémon.Will you be there to help me catch my first Pokémon?"She asked hopefully.Sora smiled.

"I would love to.I'll help you choose!"She smiled.Cindy smiled back.

"Someday,I will grow up like you!I'll be a coordinator!"Cindy exclaimed.

After receiving the Vermilion ribbon,Sora was on her way to Cindy's house.The twins were in the hospital.They apologised and explained that they have been hypnotized.The wounds on Sora was nursed by her friends.They can't stop scolding her and telling her to never do something stupid again.Sora lightly chuckled.The brown house were Cindy lives in came into view.She smiled and entered it.Her Cyndaquil jumped on her shoulder.

"Sora!"A small voice exclaimed.Sora was hugged by Cindy.

"Cindy!Happy birthday!"Sora exclaimed as she let go.

Cindy had her brown hair down.She wore a pair of black spectacles that showed off her eyes that had the color of the night sky.She only wore a plain white t-shirt and jeans.

"Let's get started!Where will you get your Pokémon?"Sora asked.

"Ummm.Father told me I can catch my own in the forest."Cindy told her.They saw Cindy's parents.

"Sora.Thank you very much for saving our daughter and helping her get her first Pokémon."Her mother smiled at her.

"Yes.Here's the Pokéballs that you're going to use."Her father smiled and handed Cindy a Pokéball.

They quickly left.Cindy couldn't help but feel excited."I can't wait to see what I'm going to catch!"She exclaimed.

Sora handed Cindy a Pokéball."Here.I'll let you borrow my Gardevoir.Her moves are Psychic,Shadow Ball,Hypnosis,Confusion,Shock Wave,Double Team,Teleport and Magical Leaf."Sora told her.Cindy grinned.

"Thanks!"She thanked the coordinator.

They continued toward the forest.They heard a small voice.

"Chi-ko!"A small voice exclaimed.They saw a Chikorita.

"What's a Chikorita doing here?"Sora asked.

"I don't know.But I want it!"Cindy exclaimed excitedly.Sora smiled.

"Send out Gardevoir."Sora instructed her.

"Oh right!"Cindy exclaimed and sent out Sora's Gardevoir."Awesome!Gardevoir,use Magical Leaf!"It scored a direct hit on the Chikorita.

It got up and released Razor Leaves.

"Dodge it!"Cindy ordered.Gardevoir gracefully dodged the attack."Now,use Shadow Ball!"She commanded.

The dark ball knocked the Chikorita down.Sora smiled.Cindy was doing great.

(Sora's POV):

Cindy threw the Pokéball towards the Chikorita.It shook for a while.Finally,it stopped.

She was just like my mother reborn.Her first Pokémon was a Chikorita.I can't help but smile.

"Alright!I caught a Chikorita!"She jumped up and down excitedly.

I felt a tear roll down my eye.All those things that I missed with my family,all my promises with them.I was able to fulfill it in a different way.
