The weekends...

Katelyn's POV

"Come on Travis, get up! We don't want to be late to meet up with Jeffory and Abby." I yelled while playfully hitting Travis with a pillow.

"I need to keep myself protected! Can't you just go by yourself?" Travis whined.

"Travis, are you seriously scared of a little girl?" I smirked as I stopped hitting him.

"Duh!! Especially if its Abby."

I laughed a bit and said, "Travis, you seriously got yourself almost killed before."

"I know but this is different."

"Travis, come on!!"

"Make me!" He challenged me as he turned to tge opposite side. His back was now facing me.

I sighed as I tried to think what can make him get out of bed. An idea then popped up in my head as I smirked. I then whispered to Travis' ear,

"If you won't go to the amusement park with Jeffory, Abby and I......then no kisses for you."

He then faced to me playfully glaring at me,

"You wouldn't dare."

"Try me." I said as I walked to the door still having a smirk on my face.

"Okay okay you win! I'll go to the amusement park with you guys."

I turned around as I saw him sitting up. I walked towards him and gave a quick peck on his lips.

"Great. Be ready in ten minutes."

"Will do, my blueberry." he replied with his cheeky smile.

As I was about to turned the knob on the door, Travis then asked,

"Can I still bring a pillow with me for protection?"

I bursted into laughter and shook my head.

          After Travis FINALLY got himself up and ready, he and I head out with our car and drove off to the amusement park to hanf out with Jeffory and Abby.

Once we finally made it, Travis parked the car and we both got out. We waited for Jeffory and Abby outside the Amusement as we eatched numerous people heading inside.

It wasn't long until Jeffory and Abby arrived. They finally saw us and we  watched them as they waved and walked towards Travis and I.

"Auntie Katelyn!!" Abby yelled as she came runnung towards me.

She hugged my leg and I hugged her back

"Hi there Abby!! Been a while since we've seen each other."

She nodded and smiled at me.

I saw Jeffory and Travis hugging each other and greeted one another as well. I finally greeted and hugged Jeffory as he did the same too.

"Abby, say hi to Travis." Jeffory told his daughter.

Travsi gave Abby a soft smile and all what came from Abby was  a "Hmph" as she turned her head to the opposite direction, crossing her arms.

"Its okay, you don't need to say hi to me. Nice to see you, Abby" Travis said reassuringly.

Abby didn't reply which made both me and Jeffory upset.

I whispered to Jeffory and Travis, "Lets just gibe her some time."

They both nodded in agreement and we all headed inside the amusement park.

          Once we made it inside, the first thing we all noticed was the number of people. The amusement park were filled with kids, adults and many more. There were also a lot of rides and games to try out. Everything that was in this place made Jeffory and Abby excited. Except for Travis and I. This just remind us about Starlight but we tried our best to let that slide.

Jeffory finally bought tickets and we all started our day. We all rode differnet rides, tried out a few games which mostly we didn't really won a lot, and ate some food.

Our main goal for this is to get Abby and Travis to interact with each other and become friends. So far.... things aren't going as we thought it would be planned.

For example: When we were thinking of riding on a roller coaster, we insisted that abby and Travis should sit together. Although after so many attempts to convince Abby that she should sit with Travis, she still has her way to get out of the situation. In conclusion, she really hates Travis.

Whenever Travis tries to talk to Abby, she just kicks him in tye leg amd runs off to either me or Jeffory.

We were continuing to walk around a bit and find other things to do. Jeffory and Abby were just infront of me and Travis.

Travis hung his head down as he was disappointed to the fact that possibly he might never be friends with Abby.

"Hey Trav, you okay?" I whispered.

"Yeah, its just... I don't know if Abby and I are ever gonna be on good terms soon."

"Of course you will. We just need to try out a different approach. You trying to talk to her is good enough, but still ends badly with a  kick on the leg."

"Gee, thanks" He said sarcastically.

I giggled and held his hand as I intertwined my fingers with his. He loomed at me and I smiled, he smiled back kissed my forehead.

"A UNICORN!!!!!"

We both heard Abby squealing and saw that Jeffory and Abby were standing in front of a game booth.

Travis and I let go of our hands and walked as fast as we could to catch up with them.

"DADDY DADDY DADDY!! Can we get that unicorn plush?? Please????" Abby begged his dad as she poinyed out the unicorn plush hanging  from the wall of the booth.

We noticed that the game booth had three archery targets. The outer circle was blue, the inner circle was a yellow and the very center was red.

I had a feeling that we're going to have to shoot those three targets to get a prize.

"Wanna win a prize? All you gotta do is shoot those three targets with a bow and arrow but blindfolded!" The game person said. (I honestly don't know what they're called so deal with it XD)

Called it! Except the part that we needed to be blindfolded.

"Can you and Auntie Katelyn play for the unicorn???" Abby asked with puppy eyes.

"Sure, why not?" I answered as Jeffory smiled at me and I smiled back.

Travis'POV

          Too bad Abby didn't want me to play for her. I mean, I actually want to try this game honestly. Oh well, maybe next time.

Katelyn, Abby and I watched as Jeffory tries it out first. He placed the blindfold over him and the game person gave him the bow and the three arrows.

Jeffory got himself ready he tries to shoot the first target. We cheered for him as he smiled. He made his aim and the arrow landed on the yellow. His second arrow then landed on the blue. Once he made his aim on the third target, his last arrow landed the yellow again but much closer to the red this time.

Jeffory removed his blindfold and was quite disappointed to his results.

"Oof, close, but not close enough." The game person said.

It was Katelyn's turn. Jeffroy gave her the bow and the blindfold as the game person gave her the three arrows. The three of us cheered for Katelyn as tried to get herself ready. She put on the blindfold and started to hold up the bow with the arrow in it.

She made her aim and the arrow landed on a blue. Her second target had an arrow but it landed on a yellow. It seemed like she might have a chance to win this. She the made her last aim on the third target but instead of the arrow landing the target, it accidentally landed on a stuff toy. Thankfully, it wasn't on the unicorn.

Katelyn took out her blindfold while curiously asking us,

"Did I get them all-" she was then cut off by the sight of her results. Especially at her last target.

"Wow you really stabbed that plush right in the heart." I joked. I'm surprised how I made Jeffory, Katelyn and the game person laugh at my joke. Sadly, Abby rolled her eyes at me but thats okay.

"Sorry about that, sir." Katelyn apologized while scratching the back of her head.

"Its alright. I got another one right here to replace it." He said as he took out the arrow off of the plush and took it out as he replaced the old plush with a new one.

"You sure you don't want us to pay for it?" Katelyn asked worriedly.

"Its fine. Most kids around tweens often do that but I never seen an adult like you shoot an arrow at a plush." He snickered.

Katelyn let out a nervous laugh while Jeffory and just bursted into laughter.

"Welp, seems like you two had your chances and haven't even made one shot. I'm sorry to say but you can't have that unicprn plush." The game person said.

Abby was disappointed to the fact that she'll never get that unicorn plush.

"I'm so sorry Abby. Auntie Katelyn and I tried our best but I guess it didn't went well as we hoped." Jeffory told her daughter.

Abby sighed and said, "Its okay" even though it didn't seem like she was okay with it.

          Jeffory, Katelyn and Abby started walking to another game booth while I still stayed. *gasps* Maybe if I can be able to get that unicorn plush for Abby, she might think of me as a good guy to her now. Besides, I still wanna try to play this.

I catch up with the three and tapped Jeffory's shoulder. The three of them turned their heads facing towards me and I asked,

"Hey Jeffory, do you still have more game tickets?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Lets just say I want to try to out the game myself." I smiled.

"Well, the game seems impossible to play. Are you sure you can do it, Travis?" Katelyn asked.

"Of course. If it makes Abby happy for her to get that unicorn plush, then I'm willing to take that chance." I said happily.

Jeffory and Katelyn looked at each other and smiled. They looked back at me and Jeffory gave me the game tickets.

I took the tickets and ran back to the game booth. I didn't see if the three of them followed me but its fine.

I smiled to the game person of the booth as I  gave the him the tickets and he gave me the blindfold and the bow and arrow.

I noticed the three watched me got myself ready. Once I was done, I covered my eyes with the blindfold and prepared my aim on the first target.

I shot my first target, then the second then the third. I honestly wasn't sure if I got them all right.

I took out my blindfold and looked at the three, not even thinking about looking at my results. I saw that they were looking at me shocked as their jaws were dropped down.

"Why are you guys looking at me like that? Did I also hit another plu-"

I was cut off by my results. I got all three of them..? I can't believe it. All three arrows landed at the red center!

"I-I got all of them!!!"

I cheered to myself as Katelyn, Jeffory and Abby, including the game person stayed in shock.

"Wow.. Its honestly been a while since someone had won a prize at my booth. Here,"

He handed me the unicorn plush and said as he smiled,

"You deservese this. Congrats!"

"Thank you so much sir!" I smiled back and turned to Abby.

"Here Abby, this is for you." I gave Abby her unicorn plush yet she was a bit hesitant to take it.

Jeffory then decided to give her daughter some encouragement,

"Come on Abby, Uncle Travis won this for you."

Abby looked at her dad for a second and turned back to me. She finally took the unicorn plush hugged it in her arms.

"What will you say to Uncle Travis?" Katelyn asked Abby.

"Th-Thank you.... Uncle Travis."

Oh Irene my heart. YES SHE SAID UNCLE TRAVIS YESSS!!!!!

I smiled to her and she shyly smiked back.

"Come on guys, lets go find some other stuff to do." Jeffory said as he started walking.

Before Abby followed her dad, without him knowing, she still kicked my leg and ran to her dad holding his hand

"Abby.." Katelyn mumbled.

"Its okay Katelyn. Whats good is that she kicked my but much lighter than she usually does." I cheerfully said  and catched up with Jeffory and Abby.

I then heard Katelyn chuckled as she catched up with me.
