The next day...

Katelyn's POV

          I was in the bedroom having a call with Jeffory again because his mom wanted me to go somewhere with them for a few days.

"Wait, why do I need to come again?"

"My mom said that she wanted to bond with us some more but she said that we can't bring Abby with us."

"Seems suspicious if you ask me."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, I don't know why but I have this weird feeling something is wrong."

"Honestly, I feel the same way."

"Really?"

"Yeah, I know I love my mom but she's acting much different than she would usually act."

"Well whatever it is, we just gotta do it anyways."

"Wait really?"

"Yup, something's off about your mom and as much as I find it suspicious, I would like to get to the bottom of this."

"Well if you say so. I'm gonna be dropping off Abby later so you should get ready as well."

"Okay.. see you in a bit"

"Bye Katelyn"

"Bye"

I hung up and sat down on the bed, thinking on what's going on.

Travis then went into the room and sat beside me.

"So you going somewhere with Jeffory and his mom?"

"Yeah, but Abby can't come."

"What? Why?"

"I don't know, Jasmine just said to Jeffory that she can't come."

"Sounds wrong honestly."

"I know, but we'll be back in a few days. I honestly don't know where we're going but I'm sure Jamsine just wants to bond with Jeffory and I."

"Well just take care and have fun, okay?"

"Of course Trav."

He then noticed the necklace I was wearing, the one that he gave.

"I'm surprised you're wearing that." He smirked.

"Why wouldn't I? Its my favorite jewelry that I've ever worn."

He mumbled something but I couldn't quite hear it.

"What was that?"

"O-Oh umm nothing!" He let out a nervous laugh.

"O-kay then"

I then kissed his cheek and he helped me pack.

Travis' POV

          I was able to hear Katelyn's conversation with Jeffort about going somewhere with Jasmine but without Abby.

Once she was done talking, I entered the room and sat beside her on the bed.

"So you going somewhere with Jeffory and his mom?"

"Yeah, but Abby can't come."

"What? Why?"

"I don't know, Jasmine just said to Jeffory that she can't come."

"Sounds wrong honestly."

"I know, but we'll be back in a few days. I honestly don't know where we're going but I'm sure Jamsine just wants to bond with Jeffory and I."

"Well just take care and have fun, okay?"

"Of course Trav."

I noticed Katelyn wearing the necklace I gave her.

"I'm surprised you're wearing that." I smirked.

"Why wouldn't I? Its my favorite jewelry that I've ever worn."

"Well once I put that ring on your finger, that necklace is gonna be your second most favorite." I mumbled.

"What was that?"

"O-Oh umm nothing!" I let out a nervous laugh. Phew, that was close.

"O-kay then" She replied still being clueless to what I said.

She then kissed my cheek and I helped her pack.

An hour later...

          Jeffory's family finally came and Abby came running towards Katelyn and I excitedly.

"Auntie Katelyn! Uncle Travis!"

"Abby! Good to see you too!" Katelyn said as I carried Abby.

"You be good with Travis, alright Abby. Don't worry, we'll be back soon." Jeffory tolf to his daughter

"Okay daddy." Jeffoey kissed Abby on the forehead and so as Jasmine.

"See you soon Travis" Katelyn kissed my cheek.

"See you too Katelyn. Take care guys!" I said.

The three of them waved at us as they went into the car and drove off.

"Uncle Travis?"

"Yes Abby?"

"Where are they going?"

"I don't know either, bit I'm sure they'll be back soon. Now come on, lets go inside."

"Okiee!"

I smiled at her and we both went inside the house.

"Hey Abby, if you want, you can sleep in the room Auntie Katelyn and I share whike I sleep on the couch."

"You won't sleep beside me?"

"No, it might be a bit awkward."

"Please Uncle Travis? I don't like sleeping alone especially if daddy isn't here." She was hugging my leg and looked at me with the puppy eyes.

Oh no! Its my weakness!

"Okay.. I'l sleep with you" I smiled

"Yey!" She hugged my leg tighter and I chuckled.

I lead her to the room and once she saw the bed, she couldn't help but jump on it and feel the softness of the bed.

"You like the bed, huh?"

She nodded excitedly and giggled a lot happily.

I laughed and placed her bag down

"Wanna watch more My Little Horsies?"

"Yes!!"

I chuckled, "Okay then, I'll call you when the TV's ready."

"Okay!" She smiled and I smiked back.

I went downstairs and opened the TV. Then, I placed it on Netflix and found the show we were gonna watch.

I then made snacks for her just in case she gets hungry.

Once I was finished, I made my way to the stairs and called Abby.

"Abby? The show's ready!"

There was no response.

"Abby?"

I moved up and entered the room.

"Abb-"

I was cut off by what was I seeing. The drawer for my clothes was open and Abby was holding the ringbox for me to propose to Katelyn.

"Abby, you know you're not suppose to be looking at anyone's stuff without their permission."

"I-I know, its just.. I was interested in looking around. I'm so sorry."

"Its okay Abby."

"U-Uncle Travis? Is this a ring?" She asked as she opened the ringbox.

"Y-Yeah..it is"

I walked towards her and knelt down to her level.

"Whats the ring for?" She then gasped and asked, "Are you proposing to Auntie Katelyn?!"

"Yup, I'm planning to actually." I answered as I rubbed the back oh my head.

She then excitedly squealed and said, "I WANT TO BE A FLOWER GIRL!!!!"

I blushed by what Abby just said. Wow, I haven't even proposed to Katelyn yet and Abby already thought on what she wants to be on the wedding.

"Does daddy and Auntie Katelyn know?"

"Your dad? No. Auntie Katelyn? Of course not. When proposing to someone you love, its always a surprise."

"Ooohhh, but when are you going to do that, Uncle Travis?"

"Maybe next week? Still not sure, but its gonna be soon."

"I'm so excited!!!!"

I laughed, "But you have to promise me to not tell anyone. Maybe daddy, but not Auntie Katelyn, okay?"

"I promise!" She smiled and she gave me the ringbox.

I closed it and placed it back in the hiding spot.

"Come on, lets go watch My Little Horsies"

"Yey!"

I got up and she grabbed my hand. I smiled at her and we both went down together and watched MLH for few hours.
