Lapis' POV

I dialed my mom's phone number and waited for her to pick it up.

While waiting, I did some flirty faces at Peridot, I was about to say something when my mom suddenly spoke.

"Yes dear?" She said, sounding stressed.

"Oh! Ugh, Hi mom!" I said.

"Why did you call? Are you alright?" She said.

"Yeah Mom! I'm fine!" I replied.

"Good. Are you on your way home?" She asked.

"Ehm, about that." I said, unsure of what her reply will be.

She sighed.

"What is it this time?" She said.

"Can I sleepover at Peridot's again?" I said, hope in my eyes.

"You've already slept over there last night." She said.

"Awww, Please?" I said, doing the puppy eyes even if she can't see it.

"Okay, okay. But that's the last one okay? School starts in a few days after all." She said.

"Yes! Thanks Mom!" I said.

"But don't let prince charming make a move on you, okay?" She said, a hint of fun can be heard in her voice.

I blushed hard after her statement and took a glance at Peridot.
She caught me glancing at her so I looked away.

"No Mom! It's not like that!" I said, defensively.

"Just remember our rules okay?" She said, changing the subject.

"Don't go out too much,
No staying up late at night,
And no having s-" She said, but I cut her off.

"Ugh! Moooom!" I said.

I swear I could hear her smirking right now.

"Heh, just kidding dear. Just be safe okay? Love you..." She said.

"Fine. Love you too. Bye." I said quickly.

I ended the phone call when a voice suddenly spoke.

"Well?" The voice said.

I widened my eyes and looked at where the voice was from and saw Peridot standing.

How could I forget that Peridot was here?!

"What?" I said.

Oh no, don't ll me she wants to know what mom said.

"What did she say?" She mumbled a few more words but I couldn't hear her because of the embarrassment my mom did.

Oh no! She does want to know! What do I do?

"About what?" I said, unsure.

"Ehm, About you sleeping over?" She said.

Ofcourse! The sleepover!

I mentally face palmed myself.

"Oh! Um, She agreed."I said, relieved.

Okay then. Lets get back inside the house." She said, walking to the entrance.

Hmm, maybe we should go out. It is the last day of me sleeping over here.

I blocked her path.

"Could we go out? I'm bored." I said, doing the puppy eyes.

She looks like she's debating with herself.

"Fine. Where'd you wanna go?" She said, in defeat.
