Peridot's POV

It's been a while since we kissed and she's still not talking to me.
I hope she's not against that kiss.

A few more minutes till 12 and they're already have fallen asleep. Except for me and Lapis.

There's been bothering her, I just know it.

So I made the first move.

"Hey, uh, Lapis?" I called her.

She seemed shocked when I called her. Guess she was thinking of something.

"Um, yes?" She said.
"Can I talk to you?" I said as I held the present behind me.
"Um, Okay?" She said, listening.
"Ehm, Outside?" I said.
"Why?" She asked.
"Cmon, please?" I begged.
"Okay. I'll follow you there." She said.

I nodded and went to the living room. That was awkward.

I waited for her to come out until she did.

She was holding a green present.

"Umm, I wanted to give this to you." She said, handing me the green present.
I held it with my free hand, but remained my other hand behind of my back.
"Oh uh, Thanks." I said, smiling.
"No problem." She said, but not looking at me.
There was a long silence.
"Ehm, I wanted to give this to you." I said as I revealed the gift with my other hand.
I swear her eyes sparkled when she saw the gift.
"You bought a gift for me?" She said, finally looking at me.
"Well, yeah." I said smiling.
"Thanks. Nobody has ever given me a gift before." She said.
"Oh, then I hope that this is your best first gift." I said, grinning.

We opened our gifts and sat on the carpet.

She gasped as she saw what I gave her.
"Do you like it?" I said, hopeful.
"No." She said.
I knew I should've picked the-
"I LOVE IT!" She said, shrieking.
"Heh, glad you like it." I said as I opened my gift.
"Well?" She said, waiting.

My gift was a green jacket with an alien on the middle.

"Cool! I've been looking for these things at the mall! Where'd you get em?" I said, excited.
"Secret." She said, sticking her tongue out.

There's been a long silence again.

"Um, about the kiss?" I said. No! Why'd you say that!

She blushed furiously.

"Nevermind." I said.
"N-no, I think we shoukd talk about it. " She said.
"Ehm, okay?" I said.
There was a short silence.
"Did you like it?" We said in unison.
I immediately blushed and looked away.
"Yes." We said in unison again.
Oh cmon! The unison thing is getting awkward!

Long silence.....

"Welp, thanks for the gift. I'll be sleepin' now." I said awkwardly.

I took the gift and hid it somewhere and went to bedroom.
I plopped down the bed and slept.
Before I slept, I felt something beside me.

Must be Lapis.

So I slept.
