. Chapter 4 .
That night, Gabriel looked around the table at everyone, leaning against the door frame, arms crossed against his chest.
They were all chatting happily, at least happily for hunters, and Gabriel smiled at the sight.
Sam looked up from his food, and spied Gabriel at the door.
"Come and sit with us." He said, patting the empty chair next to him.
Gabriel held his hands up, a little flattered by the gesture. "No, Sammy, I'm only here to fix Cassie and Dean. And then I will be leaving."
Sam's smile drooped, and his famous puppy-dog eyes set in. Gabriel tried to look away, looking out the window, but accidentally looked in the corner of his eye at the big brown-green eyes staring at him.
He sighed, giving up and plopping himself like a two year old in between Dean and Sam.
He even swung his legs under the table, sitting on his hands.
"You sure you ain't a kid?" Bobby asked accusingly.
But Gabriel just shrugged, "Sometimes I do wonder."
"But you ain't a wid, Wabwiel, coz you're big and stwong like Sammy!" Dean perked up, a mouthful of chicken and gravy dripping from his chin, which Sam quickly reached across and wiped away.
Gabriel glanced at Sam reaching across him, feeling a twinge of disturbance coming from within him.
But he just coughed and said in his most craziest voice, "Exactly! I'm the booger monster and I'm coming to eat you up!"
Dean squealed and grabbed Cas by the hand, running from Gabriel who stomped after the pair.
"Rargh!" Gabriel yelled, and the hunters heard another squeal of delight from the angel and the hunter.
Jody shook her head, and Bobby mumbled, "Idjits."
Then Cas and Dean came running back in, only Gabriel wasn't following and the two young boys seemed to be playing chasings.
"You can't catch me!" Dean yelled, running around the table, his little legs going fast.
Cats laughed and ran after him too.
Sam reached out and grabbed Dean as he ran his second lap around the table, and Dean wriggled around.
Cas came puffing over, but only to trip over his trench coat, sending him crashing to the floor with a loud thud.
"Was!" Dean cried, leaping off of Sam's lap.
"Ow." Cas said, getting up and looking at his hands, feeling a strange sensation come over him.
"Was otay?" Dean asked, scooting closer to the boy.
All of a sudden, Cas lost his vision slightly, his vision blurring and he couldn't see Dean properly.
"Dean?" He panicked, throwing his hands about. He felt a large, comforting hand on his shoulder.
"Cas? You okay?" A comforting voice said softly.
Cas shook his head as a no, but in doing so, his vision cleared a little, and Cas felt something run down his cheek.
"Why Was crying? Was isn't 'posed to cry." Dean said, his green eyes in wonder.
Cas looked startlingly up at the voice that he recognised to be Gabriel's. "Crying?"
Gabriel looked at him gently, saying as softly as if he were talking to a kitten, "You're crying Cas, and it's okay; you're allowed to cry once in a while."
Cats nodded, feeling another drop, trailing down his face into his mouth. His eyes widened at the taste, and he licked his lips disgustedly.
Then he felt an overwhelming flow of the tears and sadness; Gabriel picked the boy up and held to his chest, Cas burying his face in the Archangel's neck in embarrassment, letting it go.
Gabriel rubbed soothing circles in Cas' back, making Dean frown slightly and look away, but no one noticed.
Cas began to sob, and Gabriel could feel his body shake and tears stained his jacket.
Dean stood up, still a little wobbly on his feet, and put his arms up, feeling a strange urge to hug his friend.
"Was can't cwy..." Dean whispered, and crawled up onto a chair and not long after seeing the bawling and broken Castiel before him, he began to cry too.
Sam grabbed him lightly and held him against his chest.
"It's okay Dean. Everything's going to be okay."

After Cas and Dean had happily gotten into their pyjamas, the five of them settled down to watch a movie.
"Netfwix!" Little Dean cried as he ran to Cas, who had only just sat down, his hands in his lap, Dean giggling as he launched himself at Cas.
He landed with an 'oomf', and Dean was now in the poor, slightly flustered, Cas' lap, facing him with a toothy grin.
"Was!" He said, hugging him tightly, and Cas just smiled a little, wrapping his arms around the younger boy.
Dean snuggled his face in the crook of Cas' neck, his breaths turning soft and slow as he got comfortable while the adults chose a suitable movie for them all to watch.
Dean's eyes closed, feeling safe and warm in Cas' arms. Just sitting there, in each other's arms, made them feel like they were the only ones there in that moment.
Well, apart from Gabriel suggesting that they watch Frozen, which got a big fat 'no' to, because they all shivered at the thought of Dean and Cas having their minds corrupted by the famous but deadly Disney film.
Dean's slow breaths tickled Cas' neck slightly, but he just thought nothing of it.
Then Dean breathed again, a little more heavily this time, and Cas jumped slightly at the touch.
But Dean didn't notice; he was off in his own fantasy world of hunting ghosts, killing vampires and fighting angels.
After a couple of minutes of Cas restraining himself, he finally cried out, "Aah! Dean, you're tickling me!"
Everyone jumped, including Dean, who had scrambled off of Cas' shoulder now, crossing his legs in his friend's lap.
"Was is ticklewish?" Dean asked with curiosity, tipping his head on one side.
Cas nodded, but then gulped as a faint devilish smile came over Dean's lips.
"I, uh...you were, uh...your breath was tickling my neck in a disturbing way." The angel stumbled over his words, but that just made Dean's grin widen.
Dean pounced, jabbing and prodding Cas in the ribs, causing hysterical laughing to protrude from the older boy.
"Dean...s-stop! P-please!" Cas half yelped half giggled out, gasping a glimpse of Sam, who looked on in amusement.
"S-sam! If you've...ever been a-a good fr-friend, then you should...help me!" He struggled out, but Sam just watched on, his looks of amusement soon turning into fits of laughter, which racked his sides and was obviously contagious, as Jody and Bobby caught as well.
Sam took one glance at Gabriel to see that he wasn't laughing, and then an idea popped into his head.
"I'm going to go and get a coffee, anyone else?" Jody asked, and Sam and Gabriel nodded, Bobby jumping up to offer her a hand.
Gabriel sat, cross-legged, across from Sam on the couch, a lollipop stuck in his mouth which he sucked as he looked at Sam, almost with a kind of interest in his eyes.
Sam glanced at the giggling boys (more like giggling girls) behind him, before turning to the archangel with a new spark in his brown-green eyes.
Gabriel glared hard at him. "Don't. Even. Think. About-aah!"
Sam grinned as he leapt at Gabriel, hoping to at least get one true smile off of the angel as he too, began to tickling Gabriel.
Gabriel did, in fact, smile, but more than Sam could imagine, his sucker falling out because he began to laugh, a genuine, melodic laugh that rang through the house, along with Cas and Dean's.
Sam laughed too, but then Gabriel began to tickle him back, both grown men falling to the floor in a heap of arms, legs and grins.
"Sam W-Winches-ter!" Gabriel giggled, gasping and reaching his arms out to the moose who was above him, fingers working expertly to tickle the Hell out of him.
"Calm down, kids." Jody came in, stifling a giggle as she struggled with the mugs.
Dean got off Cas, and Cas pushed him off, making sure he was at least at the other side of the couch as Jody sat the mugs on the coffee table.
Even Bobby couldn't stop a smile from breaking out as he saw Sam and the Archangel rolling around in an obvious fight, a plate full of chocolate cake in his hands.
Gabriel sensed the chocolate, and jumped up, rushing over to the plate of cake, but, Sam noticed, he paused to look up at Bobby with questioning golden eyes.
The older man just chuckled, and said, "Go on, boy."
Gabriel grinned and nodded a polite thanks to Bobby, before flopping down next to Cas, munching happily on his cake.
Sam frowned but didn't say anything as he sat between the blonde haired man and his younger brother.
